About: Top-Rated Pet Sitter in Prescott, AZ | Dog Boarding, House Sitting & Overnight Care Trusted Pet Care in Prescott, AZ – Experienced, Loving, and Reliable Looking for a dependable pet sitter in Prescott, AZ? I’m retired and fully dedicated to providing top-quality pet care in Prescott and surrounding areas—including Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt. As a lifelong animal lover, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, and both fresh and saltwater fish. I also spent summers on a family farm caring for horses and cattle, giving me hands-on experience with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I bring 10+ years of experience in animal shelters and dog fostering, making me especially comfortable with: • Dogs of all breeds and sizes • Senior pets and special needs pets • Anxious or shy animals • Multi-pet households If you’re searching for dog boarding in Prescott, in-home pet sitting, overnight pet care, or drop-in visits, I provide reliable, attentive service tailored to your pet’s routine. Why Prescott pet owners choose me: • Full-time availability (retired—your pets are my priority) • Calm, safe, and loving environment • Consistent communication with photo updates • Respectful, trustworthy in-home care • Flexible scheduling for weekends and holidays I proudly serve Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and nearby communities, and I’m committed to giving your pet the same love and attention I would expect for my own. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness always come first—and I take pride in going the extra distance every time. Because I’m retired, pet care is not something I squeeze into a busy schedule—it is my daily routine and priority. My day naturally revolves around the pets I’m caring for. Morning visits typically include feeding, potty breaks, walks, litter box care, and a calm check-in to make sure everyone is comfortable. Throughout the day, I plan my time around each pet’s needs, whether that’s medication schedules, exercise, playtime, or simply companionship for pets who prefer not to be alone. In the evenings, I do another round of feeding, exercise, and settling pets into their nighttime routine so they feel safe and relaxed overnight. For overnight stays, I maintain a consistent presence in the home so pets can stay in their normal environment with minimal disruption. On a weekly basis, I also schedule meet-and-greets, take on new bookings, and make sure I’m fully prepared for each pet’s individual routine before their stay begins. Since this is my full focus, I’m able to provide consistent, attentive, and reliable care without rushing or dividing my attention between other work commitments. I have extensive experience as a pet owner, volunteer at a shelter for over five years, and as a foster parent of multiple dogs over the years, I bring a lot of experience and proven ability to care for your pet as they deserve. I fully understand the great responsibility that you are entrusting me with to care for your loved ones. Attitude matters! I promise to bring positivity, patience, reliability, warmth, and a keen eye for detail to every assignment. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and providing affectionate personalized care, ensuring your pets are happy and content while you're away. So, rest assured your pet well be in very good hands.
“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear how caring, responsible, and attentive they are with animals. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved while we were away, which gave us complete peace of mind. They kept us updated with messages and photos, followed all care instructions carefully, and went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt comfortable and safe. It's such a relief knowing we have someone we can fully trust with our dog. We highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional pet sitter. We will absolutely be booking with them again!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Bronc. We appreciate you willing to give him his medicine and keep a close eye on him. He always comes home so content, clean, and he misses you! See you next time.”

“Our pup seemed to have great time. We got her home and she was right back on her routine. That is really important. And she was tired! Which is also important. A tired giant is a good giant. All contact with Amanda and Andrew was 💯.”

“Emery was wonderful to my dogs. I have a puppy and a senior dog and she sent me updates with pictures daily. Her yard was fenced, clean and safe. Her house was also very clean and there was nothing the dogs could get into. Emery worked with our schedule and was so nice. I'll definitely book again and recommend her!”

“From the beginning, Daniela was communicative and eager to care for our girl, Loosey. When certain things didn’t make sense about Rover to me, she was able to clarify without leaving me feeling anything other than better informed. Daniela and her family were so sweet and gentle with Loosey. They were busy between both children’s birthdays, and Christmas, but still we’re willing to hang out with Loosey while I was away. She even got to go with them on a couple family adventures. Daniela sent me pictures and updates the entire time I was away. I also accidentally grabbed Loosey’s leash by habit when I dropped her off and they just didn’t make a big deal about it and I was able to send them money for a new one. I was initially very nervous about leaving Loosey with strangers (this was our first time using rover), but as soon as we had our meet and greet I knew that Loosey was in good hands and I was able to relax a little and enjoy my time off from work. Highly recommend this really kind family who just went out of their way to care for my girl. Thanks, Daniela. I will definitely bring Loosey back when she needs to be sat again.”

“Donna was fantastic! She sent me pictures of my babies over the weekend and kept me updated. She followed our feeding schedule and treat schedule. She is amazing and my dogs felt great at home as soon as they got to that house! I will use her over and over again!”

“Alma was an amazing host for our senior pups. Communication was great, and we appreciated the flexibility and thoughtful considerations of caring accommodations for them. Thanks so much!”

“From the moment Sakura and Ta Ke stepped on to Juanita's property they raced around & made new dog friends. Juanita and her husband were warm and welcoming to all of us. But, as we were leaving, we started to worry.... What if they don't want to come home?! Throughout our time away we received photos of fun times. We knew they were in good hands. When my husband picked them up, Sakura was happy to see him. Ta Ke didn't run up and jump all over him like I thought he would. They did come home. And we now feel like we ALL have new friends. We will definitely be back!”

“Jason was amazing with my dog, Wedgie! He has a wonderful outdoor space where Wedgie could relax and lounge around all day, and he had the best time playing with Jason’s sweet dog, Bambi. It was clear Wedgie felt right at home. I’d absolutely recommend Jason to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. One note for future visitors: A portion of the road to get to his place is a bit off the beaten path, so be sure to bring a vehicle that can handle some bumps and a gravel road to get there. Totally worth it for the peace of mind knowing your pet is in great hands!”

“Gina was a great host for my 1 year old pit. She kept me updated throughout his entire stay and was accommodating if any needs I had. She also had dogs of her own to keep my dog company.”
About: Hi, I’m Helin or you can call me Helen. I believe that every animal—whether they have fur, feathers, or a shell—deserves to feel safe, seen, and never lonely. My life has been a journey of caring for all kinds of creatures, and I’ve decided to dedicate myself to this full-time because I truly believe no pet should have to wait by the door alone. My heart has always been most at home with animals. I spent 17 beautiful years with my senior cat, a journey that taught me the importance of patience, soft voices, and the specialized care that aging pets require. Beyond my cat and dog companions, I’ve had the joy of caring for aquatic turtles and birds, so I am very comfortable with the unique rhythms and delicate needs of "non-traditional" pets. By day, I work as a receptionist at an emergency animal clinic. This role has shaped me into a calm, observant caretaker who knows how to listen to what an animal is telling me, even when they can’t speak. I bring that same watchful, protective energy into your home, ensuring your pets are not just fed, but truly cared for. I'm free 4 days of the week and I work full time 3 days of the week but I can make accommodations if I need a day/week off to take care of a pet because pet sitting is the thing I love the most to do. I can take care of your pet in your home, take them out to walks, feed them& play with them using the instructions you provide me.
About: Hello there! I hope to make your acquaintance. My greatest passion for life stems from a deep-rooted love and appreciation of nature. Not only do animals encourage me to spend more time outdoors, they also lift my spirits. I have yet to meet one whose company or quirks did not bring me enjoyment; from my best friend’s sixty-four slithering snakes, to the most docile (and most dastardly) of llamas. As a child, my favourite playmates were fickle felines, slobber-faced dogs, flopsy rabbits, furry scurriers, flittering birds, flashy fish, and even the occasional amphibian, reptilian, or arthropod to cross my path. Not much has changed since then. Ever-optimistic in my venture to learn more about and care for our beloved companions, I aspire to take courses for animal massage therapy, nutrition, acupressure, and aromatherapy. For now, I am enrolled in basic lessons for the efficient use of essential oils for health benefits. Hopefully this proves to bolster the vitality of our loved ones, and to also honor my endless admiration of plants and animals. I am more than happy to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns regarding your dearest critter’s care, and hope to get to know them a bit better. I have a relatively flexible schedule, while studying for my ultimate goals of a career in working with animals. Please contact me for any more information on scheduling; if necessary. I urge anyone who is willing to enlist my services, please do not hesitate to ask questions and please bear with me if I ask plenty - it’s important to make sure things run smoothly, and to minimize stress on our companions as much as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
