“Emma was great with Aries and was very easy to communicate with. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for someone to love on their pup when they’re away and I look forward to booking with her again in the future!”

About: I volunteer at a local animal shelter and have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m comfortable working with young animals, fresh litters of puppies, pregnant dogs, senior pets, and everything in between. I understand that every pet has unique needs and will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I am currently giving softball lessons, but because it is a self made schedule, I have plenty of availability to check in on your pets! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress free. I prioritize safety, follow all care instructions closely, and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I also respect your home, keep things clean and tidy, and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!
“Elizabeth was amazing during her visits. My dogs loved her! Great communication from her through all of the weather and my house not having power. Will definitely book again with her”

About: I’ve been taking care of my friends’ dogs for two years, and I really enjoy it. It’s an activity that makes me happy. I am currently available on weekends, but I can review your specific needs. I will take your pet for walks, play with them, and care for them with affection. I don't have a fenced yard, but I care for and walk the animal with great attention. I don't have any pets of my own—just two children, aged 6 and 10, who love animals. My home is very spacious and comfortable.

About: What truly sets me apart is my deep personal experience with special-needs pets. As the proud owner of a blind dog, I understand firsthand that visually impaired pets don't just need a sitter—they need someone who can speak their language and navigate their world. I'm currently working part-time for the summer until late August. As a part-time worker, pet care fits easily into my day. I anchor the routine with a solid morning walk and feeding before my shift, which allows my pet to rest while I’m away. My afternoons and evenings are dedicated to a second feeding and exercise. On my days off, I dedicate extra time to cleaning pet areas and longer outings. Routine is so important for a pet's well-being, I am highly adaptable to unique needs. For senior pets or pets with sensory limitations—such as blindness—I take extra care to keep their environment entirely predictable. In my home, I ensure the layout remains identical so they can navigate safely, and in the client's home, I follow their exact setup. I use gentle voice and touch cues to avoid startling them, maintaining a calm, structured routine so they always feel secure and cared for.

Portage dog parents share their Rover experiences
Thank you so much, Ellie, for doing drop-in visits for our dog. He can be uneasy around new people so it was really nice to have someone with experience caring for reactive dogs. You took some time to play with our cats as well and we appreciate that so much! We will definitely be booking you again in the future.

This was our second time booking Brennan, and it was an easy yes to hire him again. My wife and I were tied up with childcare, and Brennan stepped in seamlessly. Our dog genuinely loves him, and the care, attention, and reliability were just as great as the first time. Highly recommend. We’ll be booking again
