About: I’ve lived with cats of my own my whole life. I have experience pet sitting dogs and cats since I was 8. I’ve always grown up around dogs and have a love for any and all pets! I am a full time student at Boise State University, but have a very flexible schedule that will allow me to care for your pets whenever is needed. In my home we have an open loving environment for our cat that has all the essentials needed for her to thrive. I can take care of your animal in any way that you prefer and that is fitting for them.
“Monique is amazing! She’s so wondering and caring! She took such good care of our golden retriever who has special needs due to being close to end of life.”

About: For more than 40 years, I’ve loved and cared for dogs and cats of my own. After my last Boxer passed away in 2022, I found a new way to share that love by caring for—and spoiling—the pets of others. I’ve provided excellent pet- and housesitting services on TrustedHousesitters in the Boise area for the past year, earning 20 five-star reviews. Many of my sits have been with repeat hosts, which reflects the trust and dependable care I provide. My experience includes dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, fish, reptiles, and even beetles. Before moving to Boise, I spent 14 years fostering dogs and providing pet-sitting services in the Atlanta area. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to follow instructions carefully while providing plenty of attention, patience, playtime, and affection. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a project manager in the technology industry. As I transition into a more personally fulfilling career, I’m excited to devote more time to animals and give your pets the same thoughtful, reliable care I would want for my own. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and thoroughly spoiled while you’re away. I currently work full-time as a pet sitter, so caring for pets is my primary focus. I’m able to organize my schedule around each client’s needs and your pet’s established routine. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and overnight stays. I offer flexible availability throughout the day and night, including 24/7 overnight care, and I’ll work with you to create a dependable schedule that helps your pet feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, with a strong focus on safety, trust, and consistency. I carefully follow your instructions and make sure your pet’s individual needs, routines, feeding schedules, medications, and preferences are respected. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home, taking them on a walk, or enjoying outdoor exercise together, I remain attentive to their surroundings and comfort. I take safety precautions during every visit and activity so your pet can feel secure and relaxed in your absence. You can count on me to provide dependable, thoughtful care while treating your home and your pet with the same respect I would expect for my own.
“Bev was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Lily. She took her on regular walks, kept her happy, and treated her like family. I came home to a spotless house, a relaxed pup, and total peace of mind. Bev is reliable, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. We’re so grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter”

“We would love to recommend Kate for any service you may need. Kate house sat a very unusual set of dogs and a moody Alexa smart home. She stayed with our 2 dogs and house over night. The dogs were left happy the house and bedding was left clean. She managed our smart home and home alarm system. Kate was in and out in the afternoon picking up the back yard after the dogs. Bringing in the mail and taking the trash cans out on trash day. At night she stayed overnight with the dogs. We thank her so much. Once again the dogs and house were a challenge but Kate handled it. Highly recommended”

“Jen did a fabulous job taking care of our pets! I have dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. One of my pups is 17 years old and takes a couple of medications. Jen didn’t flinch at the work and she was very reasonable. The pets loved her and she kept us updated while we were away. Highly recommend!”

About: I've become the go to friend for helping out watching all my friends pets when they go out of town! Haha it's been awesome, so I figured why not make some extra money doing it for others so here I am :D I love all pets and am grateful there's a platform that let's me do this! I know what it's like to not have a dog sitter when you need to go out of town and you don't want to board your pet, so I'd love to help out where I can. “Sam stayed with our 2 energetic English springer Spaniel puppies for a week. Sha sent us pictures everyday and updates about their activities. Sha also responded quickly to texts as I had forgot to tell her a few things. We would recommend Samanta and will use her again.”

About: I’ve been house sitting and watching dogs for the last 3 years, and absolutely love it! I have gotten the opportunity to care for many different breeds, ages, and sizes, and I currently have two dogs, and always have had dogs growing up, so I have a lot of experience! I’m currently working part time with my schedule varying, but have free time throughout the week, and can usually work house sitting into my work schedule when needed:) I typically care for dogs in the clients home when house sitting, and am able to pick them up for walks figure out alternatives when needed.
“Amanda took good care of Tally. Feel I need to mention a couple things. Something was baked in my oven that overflowed everywhere and is now baked on and not coming off even after a lot of scrubbing. Also something boiled over on one of the front burners and caused liquid to end up inside the glass on the oven door. I am a bit disappointed in these items.”

“Sage took wonderful care of our babies and home while we were away. We had such peace of mind knowing that they were cared for. We have two dogs with VERY different personalities and sage was able to give them both the attention they needed. Sage was always quick to respond and very easy to work with!”

“I’m so grateful for Kaylah’s help while I was away for a few days. My dog instantly loved her. Kaylah took such great care of my pup and home. Very respectful, communicative, and helpful. I highly recommend her!”

Patricia was great watching my dog Ginger for 5 days! She accepted my last minute request right away and was able to fit in a meet and greet. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pleasant Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pleasant Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pleasant Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
