He is either high strung or napping… there’s no middle ground. Daniel’s calm demeanor was just what was needed to create a successful stay with my dog! He took him walking with other dogs which was great & Daniel seemed to have managed quite well. The hens and kitty appeared to have also been taken care of perfectly! About: I have been taking care of family/friend pets through the entirety of high school and afterwards. I have worked with a positive feedback trainer with my dog and have been able to apply those teachings to other behaviors in animals. I also know how to handle medications for dogs, from pills, intestine liquids, and topical creams. I absolutely adore big dogs and will totally let them be lap dogs. I love little dogs, even if they try to be ferocious creatures. I work a part-time job and am focusing most of my free time to medical concerns. I traditionally work in the early morning, 6-12. This leaves my afternoons free for the pets, but I can figure out how to care for them in the morning if necessary. Beyond that, I want to maintain active with the animals, playing, cuddling and taking for walks. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes (8, 25, & 100). They have different diets and activity levels, but all maintain their appropriate body weight. We have a fenced backyard for them to roam around in. The big dog is an anxious creature so he gets put in the crate when everyone leaves the house. I specifically worked with him on it and he has done wonderfully with positive reinforcement. I am able to transfer this knowledge to other animals, it might just take a few tries. Access to treats might help 😋. For walks, I can handle dogs big dogs and the ones that pull pretty well. I refuse to use choke chains and shock collars. If they are wearing one, I would like (with your permission) to switch it for a regular collar during the time of my stay.

About: I have grown up with many animals in my household including birds, rodents, chickens, cats, and of course dogs. I love working with animals and getting the opportunity to give them the love and care that they need. Once I moved out and started school, I decided to get my own dog, and it was the best decision I ever made! I have a three-year-old blue heeler who needs tons of attention and care and from this experience I have learned a lot about dogs and how to care for certain breeds properly. I am currently a college student on summer break looking to fill my time with an activity I will enjoy. I am free whenever needed any day or time of the week.
