About: I have been taking care of family/friend pets through the entirety of high school and afterwards. I have worked with a positive feedback trainer with my dog and have been able to apply those teachings to other behaviors in animals. I also know how to handle medications for dogs, from pills, intestine liquids, and topical creams. I absolutely adore big dogs and will totally let them be lap dogs. I love little dogs, even if they try to be ferocious creatures. I work a part-time job and am focusing most of my free time to medical concerns. I traditionally work in the early morning, 6-12. This leaves my afternoons free for the pets, but I can figure out how to care for them in the morning if necessary. Beyond that, I want to maintain active with the animals, playing, cuddling and taking for walks. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes (8, 25, & 100). They have different diets and activity levels, but all maintain their appropriate body weight. We have a fenced backyard for them to roam around in. The big dog is an anxious creature so he gets put in the crate when everyone leaves the house. I specifically worked with him on it and he has done wonderfully with positive reinforcement. I am able to transfer this knowledge to other animals, it might just take a few tries. Access to treats might help 😋. For walks, I can handle dogs big dogs and the ones that pull pretty well. I refuse to use choke chains and shock collars. If they are wearing one, I would like (with your permission) to switch it for a regular collar during the time of my stay.

About: I have grown up with many animals in my household including birds, rodents, chickens, cats, and of course dogs. I love working with animals and getting the opportunity to give them the love and care that they need. Once I moved out and started school, I decided to get my own dog, and it was the best decision I ever made! I have a three-year-old blue heeler who needs tons of attention and care and from this experience I have learned a lot about dogs and how to care for certain breeds properly. I am currently a college student on summer break looking to fill my time with an activity I will enjoy. I am free whenever needed any day or time of the week. I live in a duplex home and have a fenced backyard with a community dog park available. I do have one dog myself with an available crate if needed to crate your pet.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for around 8 years now, family friends and neighbors often rely on me to check in and feed their pets. I’ve also been a vet tech for 2 years so I have plenty of experience with medications and any medical needs. I have a flexible job and only work about 27 hours a week, so pet care is a natural part of my days. Whether it’s stopping by for a quick visit or spending extra cuddle time, I’m able to fit my schedule around each pet’s needs. I believe every pet feels happiest when their routine stays familiar, so I always follow your pet’s normal schedule and comfort level. Whether that means dropping in for regular check-ins, going on walks or runs that match their usual pace, or keeping their space calm and tidy, I make sure your pets feel safe and cared for just like they do when you’re home. My goal is to make their time with me as stress-free and comfortable as possible.

I’m comfortable with different ages, sizes, and personalities, and I focus on calm, attentive, and loving care to keep pets happy and safe while you’re away! I am currently in my second semester at Boise State University! I take care of my cat on the daily, scooping litter feeding and playing with him for as long as he needs! When i’m home from college I watch my dogs, take them on walks and give them all of the love I care for pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable with their usual routine. I follow all instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. I have experience with senior cats, kittens, cats, and large breed dogs, and I adjust my care based on each pet’s personality and energy level. I’m mindful about home safety, keep doors and gates secure, and make sure pets are happy, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Having over 20 pets growing up (dogs, cats, bunnies, lizards, snakes, piglets, and more), as my father was a Veterinarian. I have always had a passion for animals. When I was in highschool I even worked at his animal hospital as a receptionist and technician. Other than my huge love for animals, I have a lot of knowledge on them as well. I am very active, I love to go to the gym and go on runs. So I can be your pets dream sitter or walker!!! I am currently a student at Boise State University but as it is summer right now I have an open schedule. I usually just fill my day with exercise and hanging out with friends and family! I will make sure to follow the instructions from the owners for the pets very carefully to make sure I always create a safe environment for the pet.

About: Hello! I am born and raised here in Idaho. I currently have been walking, dog/house sitting so I am very familiar in this area. I absolutely love and adore animals. I grew up around all sorts of animals. Big and small ages from newborn to senior. I have 1 dog of my own now, and I love and cherish him. I know how hard it can be to trust someone new with your loved ones. I have joined this community to give you and your pets security, comfort and the care that your pets deserve while you are away. I do take great pride in what I provide with these services. PLEASE TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THAT MY OWN IS CARED FOR WHILE I AM AWAY. As I do not live alone. On that note my schedule is very flexible. Do keep in mind I am starting to get booked out a month or two in advance. As the busier season arises. Please make sure to set up a meet and greet with me as soon as you can so we can get things squared away! I reply in an orderly time. All I ask is to please be patient with me when it comes to a response as I am only human. And I am in contact with many pet owners very frequently. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have any. Thank you!:) I can be very flexible and work out something that works best for everyone. Making sure that your pets are well taken care of as that is one of my top priorities.:) Not to keen on sending your loved ones to a kennel? This is the best alternative for your furry loved ones! This instills that they will be receiving their 1 on 1 and the proper care. Instead of being cooped up in a kennel in an unfamiliar environment they can still be in the comfort of your home. Less stress on you and and your loved ones! I am experienced with training as well. Which includes potty training, manners, walking, commands, kennels, food aggression prevention, socializing and much more. I also have experience with giving animals medications. Along with that I always make sure there is lots of time for play, and loves! Never want a furry companion to ever feel neglected!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
