“So far good communication, and the dogs liked her. (Dog initial opinion is real - I believe in it). Punctual and arrived on the agreed upon time - not flakey. Elise will be repeat for us.”
“Evelynn is amazing! She has been walking our dog 3 days a week for the past few weeks. She is so friendly, reliable, responsible, and an excellent communicator! Most importantly our dog loves her! We appreciate her flexibility with our requests and her support! We highly recommended her and feel lucky to have her supporting our pup when we can’t be there!”

“Elise is a wonderful person. She did a great job with Rocky. She is very punctual and responsible. I love that she kept me up-to-date and sent pictures throughout! Would definitely recommend her! Thank you Elise!”

“Holley was PERFECT! Everything about her was great. She was reliable, on time, consistent with communication, and most importantly, treated our pups with love and compassion while we were away.”

About: My first job was a dog walker and then kennel attendant at an animal hospital. I learned to administer medicine and have always loved dogs. I am currently an engineering student at BSU, I am not working full-time. I will be able to keep your dogs well taken care of. I will stay overnight if needed and provide walks as desired. Your dog’s routine will be upheld and maintained. They will get to stay in the comfort of their own home. I send pictures as often as I would want them when away from my dog…as often as possible (: I like things to be tidy, so your home will look the same as it did when you left, if not better. I have a friendly dog who loves to join me if and when it is possible and make new puppy friends.
“Really sweet and caring girl! I really appreciate the time she took with my shy dog to warm up to her! I totally recommend her services! She’s taking care of my dogs weekly and we’re so grateful to have found her!”

“Tyler has been extremely reliable and a great help with my pups when I'm faced with long work days. My dogs are about 50lbs each with a tendency to pull a little when excited and I have no concerns about his ability to control both when out on walks and playing at the park.”

“Thank you, Tatum for coming over with little notice to take our two Goldens for a quick walk, even in this warmer weather. Just to get out of the house for a bit, makes a big difference! We appreciate your thoughtful care. 🥰”

“Daniel has proven himself to be professional and an excellent communicator while also showing how well he is at handling our dog. Would gladly recommend him to anyone in need of top level dog care”

“Rachel is so awesome! She is reliable, communicative, and best of all she loves my dog! I don’t have to worry at all going to work every day because I know my pup is in good hands :)”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always been around them! My dad does rover and I have helped him take them on walks, and fed them. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I am home most days with the occasional errand run. I love to workout as well so walking or running with the dogs would be great! I will give the pups plenty of attention and care that they need. I will also be flexible with the owners needs for their pet.
“Our dog,Buster, loved Jolynne! She was very patient with him when he wasn’t sure about going out in the rain. Today he was waiting at the door for her even though I home ! I will definitely use her again!”

About: Growing up, our house was dubbed "the zoo" in the neighborhood directory because we raised everything from dogs and cats to rabbits, snakes, hamsters, and bearded dragons. This taught me to understand, respect, and clean up the poop of almost any pet. I also spent 12 happy years with my own pup who lived a long happy life becoming ever crispier and more curmudgeonly, so I know how to be patient and gentle with your vintage doggo, keep the riffraff off of his lawn, and assure him that yes, the old days were indeed better. I am a stay at home mom, so I have a lot of time and flexibility during weekdays, as long as I can bring my one year old in tow! I'll follow you and your pet's lead when it comes to their care. Check ins will include making sure your pet is fed and watered with clean dishes, as well as happy and comfy. I'll also clean up any messes they make and keep you informed if anything seems out of the ordinary.
About: I believe a house isn't a home without a dog! I grew up around dogs of all breeds and temperaments, and lovingly cared for my own best dog friend Hobbes for 11 years. I'm ready to be a stand-in best friend for your canine companions whenever work, travel, or life keep you too busy to dote on them. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and a great communicator. Looking forward to meeting your furry friends! I work part-time as a healthcare professional. I often have multi-day stretches of time off, and am happy to take time out of my day to give your pets the love and attention they need. I'm flexible, reliable, and adaptable. My goal is to keep your pet's routine and environment as familiar and comfortable as possible. I'm happy to stick to the schedule your pet knows and provide plenty of snuggles in between.
About: Not only have I grown up with dogs my whole life but I have dog sat for many years and I have worked at a doggy daycare! My experience has given me the confidence in recognizing dog behaviors. NO BREED DISCRIMINATION HERE! I have worked with dachshunds and frenchies to Pit bulls and Rottweilers. I can’t wait to meet your pups! I have flexible schedule for my day job that allows me time to stop by and check on your pets! I also have most of the weekends off. With my experience with being a lead at the doggy daycare, I was trained how to give medication such as pills. I also had a dog with diabetes growing up and have experience administering insulin. I love spending time with pets indoors snuggling or outdoors on walks!

Melinda is great! Our stranger wary pup warmed up to her really quickly and it is such a relief knowing they are being taken care of while I'm at work. She leaves a detailed note about how their walks went and even indulges our toy obsessed dog. So happy we found her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
