“Anastasia walked Miso for a month and it was a big help. She is sweet and gentle, and my dog Miso enjoyed the fun walks with her. He would ran to greet her every morning! Thanks Anastasia!”

“I was so worried about transitioning from Daycare to leaving my pup home all day and having Laramie has been so great. She made it super easy to set up the visits and always sends a photo or two so I know how he is doing during the day. She’s gives him his treat before he goes so he has something to do to keep him busy for a little longer which helps me feel better about the day alone. He’s been doing great with the transition and seems happy being home which is great!”

“Gayle was wonderful with our dog. Our dog is well behaved but big, 70lbs. Gayle was able to walk him for 1 hour everyday. S Gayle is great with dogs and super responsive. Loved the use of a rover Card everyday sent from Gayle!”

“Nicole was absolutely amazing! She took incredible care of our pup while we were away. She was very communicative, thorough and reliable. It was a huge relief to be able to trust that everything was in good hands. And I loved the photos she took!”

“Hatcher did a great job with my Alfie! He walked him around the neighborhood while I was at work, and he sent me several pictures of him, which really made my day! He was highly communicative throughout the whole process, which I really appreciated.”

“Luke was so kind and sweet to our pups! Was very attentive and caring. Will definitely book over and over again as long as he’s available. Thank you for being amazing!!! We left town for a trip and definitely eased our worries.”

About: I understand that pets are family, and I treat them with the same patience, kindness, and respect I would want for my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion, my goal is to help them feel happy and secure. I also prioritize clear communication, providing regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I am available most weekends, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays, which allows me to provide reliable and consistent care. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or spending quality time with your pet, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, where they can remain in a familiar environment and stick to their normal routines. For dogs, I love getting them outside for walks and adventures, including walks along the Boise Greenbelt when appropriate. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet and entering your home. I am dependable, respectful of your space, and committed to providing regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I have cared for dogs for the past 12 years, and have loved every second of it! I have cared for both small and large dogs, as well as puppies and seniors. I love each dog like they are my own! I have experience working with dogs of all temperaments; anxious, rambunctious, and everything in between. I strive to meet each dog where they are at, and make sure that they enjoy their time with me! I work part time as a waitress, my schedule is set 1-2 weeks in advance, so I can work you and your pet’s needs into that time period. I can be flexible in accepting last minute requests with at least 24 hours notice. I value safety above all else and keeping your dog at ease is my main goal! I stick to any routines or schedules your dog may have, and I meet them where they’re at. If they love walks or would rather sniff a bush for 10 minutes, I’m happy to do either for your pup! I make a concerted effort to read their body language and anticipate what they are trying to communicate.

“Stephani is awesome! Our girl immediately loved her and you can tell she is very comfortable and familiar with dogs and walking dogs. We highly recommend her and plan on using her frequently! Al”

“Elise is a wonderful person. She did a great job with Rocky. She is very punctual and responsible. I love that she kept me up-to-date and sent pictures throughout! Would definitely recommend her! Thank you Elise!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 13. The first dog I had to care for was my own, when I got my dog Dash my dad said we could keep her if my siblings and I took care of her. She is now 10 years old and the greatest responsibility I have taken care of in my life. I also started dog sitting for friends and family not long after. I have taken care of older dogs who need medication and help with their mobility. Puppies who have been from 1 month to 1 year old, whether it was stopping by afterschool to let them out while potty training or keeping them active. I’ve taken care of dogs from complicated backgrounds who need more time to open up. One of the dogs I regularly take care of was a rescue who didn’t like men and was scared of new people I would spend time with the family in their home so the dog could get used to me before i would take care of him on my own. Understanding a dogs personality and being respectful of their space is always important to learn to establish a connection with a dog. Adapting to their routine makes for an easy transition for both dog and owner. I enjoy caring for dogs and getting to know them, there’s nothing greater then having a dog by your side. I am more compatible with pets who can go a few hours without supervision. Currently I am home for break from college and have most of my schedule free. In the summer when I come back to Boise I work a part time job. So being able to leave for a few hours works the best for me. When taking care of someone else’s pet I always ask as many questions as possible, based on both the pet and owner. Learning their routines, personalities and quirks helps me best adapt to the lifestyle both pet and owner share. When taking care of a pet in their own home being respectful and responsible is a must not only do I have to earn the pets trust but also the owners. I am being trusted with someone’s beloved pet and want to make sure it’s easy for both parties. I have a chiwinne named Dash who is my pride and joy. She loves to lounge in the sun, in warmer weather she will always be outside in our fully fenced backyard where we can see her. She likes to go on a small walk each day and play inside with her toys. Dash would rather stay laying in her bed or the couch all day if she could but we always try to keep her healthy and safe. Being part winner dog she still has a long spine, we always try to make sure she’s careful from not hurting herself.

About: I've been around animals my whole life and have been fostering with the humane society for many years. I currently have an golden of my own and we love to explore new areas in the foothills, around the greenbelt, or even the beautiful sights up bogus. I usually pet sit for family friends, but would love to meet some new floofs! I'm currently working part time, and have a pretty open schedule for this summer! Every week is different, but I'm available almost every weekday and most weekends. My backyard is secure and big dog approved with plenty of room to run around. There is a toy basket inside, but somehow the whole yard gets transformed into a dog toy wonderland. As for any homes that I may visit, I will ensure everything is how I found it and will give your pet all the attention they need without overstepping their boundaries.
About: Hi, we’re a family of 5 in the lower Highlands area. Sadly, we lost our family dog, Friday, last year. He was a high energy husky mix. We miss him. However, we aren’t ready to commit to adopting another dog just yet. We’d love to watch yours though. We are right across from Harrison hollow and we’re an active, outdoor family. We have three kids: 8, 7, 5 years old. We’ll take great care of your pooch. My husband and I both work from home & love to get out on walks during the day. I love to go on long walks in the neighborhood or on a nearby trail. We have a back yard that is fenced in & room to run around in the back. We live close to walking trails and the foothills where we will take your dog on walks.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dog for 9 years. I have also pet sat for friends and family for about 8 years which has included walking, bathing, house sitting, and general care. Typically I am free whenever you need me! I usually do 1-2 drop in’s per day if my clients are out of town, but I can always do more if requested! I do not have my own place at the moment so I am not able to board pets but I will be respectful of clients homes and am willing to do whatever it is that you need!
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, primarily dogs, cats, and even horses. I grew up helping with feeding, walking, and cleaning. I spent summers on my grandparents’ horse ranch, working alongside cattle dogs. I frequently pet sit for family friends and recently lived with my parents’ puppy. I genuinely love animals and provide care with compassion, responsibility, and experience. Since I can’t have my own right now, I put all my heart into caring for others’ pets like they’re my own. I am a teacher, meaning it’s summer break! This gives me a very flexible schedule that I can structure around your animals. Whether they need long walks, play time, or just to be let out for the bathroom — I can make sure to meet their needs through the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine consistent during feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care just as the owner would. I make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their people are away. I always keep the home clean and respect the space like it’s my own. Whether it’s sticking to medication schedules, giving extra love to anxious pets, or keeping things tidy, I aim to make the transition stress-free for both the pet and their owner. I know what it’s like to leave a pet behind while you travel, so I give the love and care to your pets that I would want for my own.

“Linda was great! She was easy to work and communicate with and sent lots of pics after each walk. Gave me great piece of mind that my old dog would be in great hands.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Boise Hills Village
Caroline is truly the best! She takes such great care of our rescue Pittie, Penny. Penny gets so waggy when she sees Caroline, and Penny can be very particular about who she will go for walks with. Caroline is thorough, friendly, kind, and prompt. We always hire Caroline when she is available!

Kara walked our dog daily for three weeks while I was out of the country. This was a last minute trip, but Kara was still able to squeeze us in on short notice. She always gave our dog a long walk and was very responsive, despite the 14 hour time difference. I really appreciated Kara’s patience with our constantly changing schedule and can’t recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
