“Amy always treats my pup as if he was her own. She is so good with him and he gets tons of healthy interaction. Her way of caring for the dogs she watches is much more personalized than anywhere else I've been. She's the best”

“Our dogs, Baxter and Nash, stayed with Tina for two weeks, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to bring any items that would make our dogs feel comfortable, such as toys, treats, and beds. Additionally, she confirmed our preferred communication methods regarding our boys’ well-being while they were in her care. We received regular updates and pictures from her, which we truly appreciated. We know that our boys were well taken care of and loved on during their stay with Tina.”

“Bob and Vicky are the best! We have had no reservations about their spoiling our dogs as well as we do ourselves. They kept us updated daily with pictures and videos. As long as they’re available, my dogs will not be staying in a kennel again, they truly are the best and caring doggie parents when we want to travel. Thank you again, Bob and Vicky…have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas!”
“Ashley and Charles and their family took really good care of Kora. They sent pictures and kept us informed of how she was doing everyday. I think Kora felt comfortable with them and that is truly what makes it easier to leave your for baby for a bit. Thank you so very much for the tender loving care!”

“We loved our first experience with Jillian and her family and we are now repeat costumers. Thank you Jillian for loving our furry friend and caring for him while we were away.”

“There aren't enough good things that I can say about Chad and his family! Not only was he super responsive, but I definitely felt like my dog was in good hands. Throughout my trip, I received many photo updates, usually when my dog was out and about playing with other pups. Having someone that you can depend on is paramount and I hit the jackpot with Chad. THANK YOU!!! P.S. Jovie says hello 🙂”

“Lindsay was amazing!!! Our 5 month old puppy stayed with her for over a week and it was the best experience. She worked with her on some basic training, got her to sleep in a crate and sent daily pictures and updates! We will definitely use her again in the future!!”

“Katelyn took excellent care of Bella when she cared for her overnight at her house. Bella hasn’t stayed the night many other places and she was able to settle in. I would definitely keep Bella with Katelyn again.”

“Katie and her family were wonderful to our Dolly. She would love to spend more time with them. We enjoyed seeing all the pics sent during her stay. Thank you Katie and Ben for the excellent communication.”

“Dylan watched my dog at his apartment over a long weekend and it went great! I got photo updates and easily coordinated drop of / pick up with fast response times. Would use Dylan’s dog walking services again.”

“We left our puppy for the first time with Elise and it was a great experience! She was so kind and made it so easy! She even texted us updates with pictures while we were gone! We are so grateful for her!”

“Thank you so much, Lerin for taking such a good care of our precious Luna during her stay with you. Luna was welcomed into your home and we could tell she was comfortable in her new environment while making new friends with your adorable pups. Thank you for staying in touch and sending us daily updates. We loved the pictures and the funny narratives. Luna came home happy and stress free. We will certainly be reaching out again in the future!”

“Karen watched my dog Nico for about two weeks and was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely responsive and friendly, willing to work with me in an odd situation as well. Nico adored her and I will absolutely recommend her.”

“Karin did a great job caring for our dog. She is kind, patient, with a calming presence. Our dog came home happy, safe, well cared for and tired from playing. Thank you K for caring for Kitty (the dog) and letting her be apart of your family while we were away!!!!”

“Christopher and MJ come off as dog lovers immediately, and I received updated everyday. My dog loved swimming in the pond even if by accident. She came home happy and fulfilled (sleepy). Thank you”

About: I've had experience caring for cats of many temperaments over the course of my life. My own cat, Dave Meowthews, was brought to me by the Cat Distribution System, and we have been besties for 12 years. I am comfortable with both kittens and senior cats, and have experience administering medications. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and a clear communicator. I'm here to be your cat's stand-in best friend when work, travel, or life keep you busy. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friends!
“I hired Kayla for the first time last week. She did a great job, very responsible. She's now at the top of my "go-to" list the next time I need a cat sitter. Good job, Kayla!”

About: I have one year of pet care experience providing reliable, attentive care for dogs and cats. 🐾 I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, enrichment, administering medications, and following your pet’s routine. I know every pet has their own personality and needs, and I love creating a safe, comfortable, and happy environment while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets with patience, kindness, and plenty of love while keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. 🐶🐱 I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability, which allows me to provide dependable care and give each pet the time, attention, and love they deserve. I’m happy to accommodate different routines and bookings while making sure your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and well looked after. 🐾 I have a fenced backyard and two dogs of my own, creating a safe and comfortable environment for pets in my home. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s routine closely and provide personalized care, attention, and updates to help pets feel happy and secure.
About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and taken care of many friends and families pets. I love animals and care for them deeply. I just graduated from Boise State and am currently working full time. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can check on pets throughout the day. I will make sure they get some good exercise and play time along with being fed and let out when needed. If your pets love cuddles I’m happy to do that too.

“Sara did a great job checking on our two cats while we were out of the country. She was very communicative and sent pictures of each time she dropped in. I highly recommend Sara and would happily use her again.”

About: I have taken care of a couple of different sets of cats. I love them all, even if they're a bit angry about an intruder. I've administered meds to cats before, traditionally in the pill form. I actively attempt to play with and love on the cats I work with, as long as their recipient. I am not afraid of getting clawed or bitten since its happened so many times with my previous cat.

About: I've been a cat owner for over 20 years, and my cat is my world. I'm the cat owner who only gives my cat filtered water, cleans the litter box everyday, and lets her sleep right under the blanket with me. I understand the unique personalities, little quirks, and sometimes spicy energy that make cats so special. Every cat is different, and I believe the best care starts with taking the time to understand who they are. I approach each cat with patience and respect, giving them the space they need to feel comfortable and show me their personality. For some cats, that means lots of love, attention, and playtime right away. For others, it means quietly building trust and allowing them to warm up at their own pace. My goal is always to make your cat feel safe, respected, and cared for while you're away.
“Kelci has been wonderful with our shy cat! Even though our kitty tends to hide when we’re away, Kelci is always so patient, gentle, and understanding. She takes the time to make sure everything is perfect and keeps us updated with sweet messages! We really appreciate her care and reliability — we’re repeat, very happy customers!”

About: I've had many cats over the years. What inlove most about cats are their independence...they do whatever they want whenever they want, and they always are the boss of the house! I have experience with senior cats as well as having bottled fed newborns.

“Sage did a great job checking in on our cat for 5 mornings in a row! She did everything we asked of her. She was very punctual by checking in with us each morning. And left us a picture each day. My cat unfortunately had other things on his mind. He was playing hard to get. As Sage came by early each morning, he was either still out hunting, or was hiding in his secret place. She said she only caught a glimpse of him one morning, and was too fast for her to get a picture of him. But she was patient with him. She added a few treats to his bowl of food each morning in order to see if he was eating. He was defiantly eating his treats, and his food. I think he was just being shy, as this was only the second time we've hired a cat sitter. We also opted to have him stay outside the whole time we were gone. As he is mostly an outdoor cat, and the weather was mild the whole time. Once we returned home, he was in our back yard, and came running when we called him. He was in happy spirits, and glad to see us!”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals for both friends and family. I’m quick to learn and can easily adapt to each animals needs. I just moved to Boise full time for a project and don’t have pets of my own so I’m looking to help someone out with walks or sitting to get my animal fix in! I don’t have any pets of my own but every roomate I’ve had has had a dog and I help take care whenever I can. Whether that’s feeding them, walking them, playing or just cuddling I’m always available to help!

About: My wife and I love dogs and are excited to have the opportunity to care for your small to medium breed non-aggressive dog(s) under 35 lbs. (Please be advised that our experience has shown that the high energy cattle/sheep dogs, shepherds, etc., are generally not a good fit for us). We both have had dogs all of our lives. We have the experience of caring for dogs through their feeding, grooming, exercising, bathing, and of course lots of loving through their senior years. We are both retired, so your dog(s) will have lots of loving attention and care throughout its/their stay. We have a doggie door so your dog(s) can have free access to our large fenced backyard. We generally accept only one client at a time, so we can give your dog(s) lots of attention and love. We do sometimes allow an overlap with another client's dog, but only if we know the dogs involved get along well. We have one dog, Jax (Cavalier King Charles). He is very loving, playful, and unaggressive. Weather permitting and with your approval, we will include your dog(s) in our daily walks in our neighborhood and excursions to local parks. However we do not allow our dog and your dog(s) in "dog parks" and do not allow them to have exposure to other dogs on our walks. Since we are retired, we will also give lots of cuddles and play in between outings, to keep them engaged. We have a dog toy box full of toys for them to play with, if they want. Just click on our profile pictures to see our "Doggie Hall of Fame" photos which show our care of our clients' dogs. We will follow your instructions, including for special needs, to make sure of your pet(s)’ total care and safety. We have a large and comfy single level home with 24/7 access to a large secure backyard and a doggie door. We will give potty breaks to those dogs that don't want to use the doggie door every couple of hours or as needed. We also have 24/7 video surveillance both inside and outside for their safety. Your dog(s) will have access to the entire house and is/are welcome to cuddle on the furniture, and can sleep in our bedroom in a doggie bed or crate, whichever your pet prefers. However, we do not allow dogs to sleep on our bed. Please let us know if you have any questions or special needs for your dog(s).
“Twin had a great time and was well cared for. Thanks for taking care of our pup on short notice. Appreciate all the communication as well. We'll book again next time we're in town.”

“Phedre has been amazing with our dog Millie. She’s done some drop in visits for us and watched her for the day currently and I feel so at peace knowing my dogs being taken care of so amazingly. We will absolutely be useing her again”

“We put in a very last minute request for a sitter for our 2 dogs and Maddy happily accepted! Seamless communication, drop off, and pickup! Dogs were well taken care of for the few hours they were with her!!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better Rover sitter! Kelly was so warm, welcoming, and flexible with our timing. Coco immediately felt at home and had a wonderful time playing with Deyo. Kelly went above and beyond by sharing local recommendations that helped us make the most of our quick Boise visit. We had complete peace of mind knowing Coco was in such caring hands. We are incredibly grateful and would happily book with her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Hazel, a senior in high school preparing to head to college. My mom is Patricia and she and I and family team to provide pet services, but I am the main person. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve had experience with all kinds of animals, including ducks, chicks, kittens, goats, pigs, and of course dogs. Right now, I have two dogs, Comanche and Chalko, who I’ve raised since they were puppies, as well as a kitten I helped bottle-feed after it was found at a very young age. Taking care of them has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand each animal’s unique personality and needs. I truly love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pet needs a fun, energetic walk, lots of attention and playtime, or just someone to make them feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’m here to help. You can trust that your pet will be in caring, reliable hands with me! I am at work from 8-4 generally, but have flexibility, and available outside of those hours. My daughters have other availability during the day around class schedules. I am home and available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and most holidays. I am home all day for full weeks during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Spring Break. I am home during summer months. I take dogs who are kennel trained and do not allow pets on furniture. I match my care to your loved companion's individual needs. Some dogs love being outside and running around, some love to lay on a dog bed by the fire. I understand some pets are older and need a gentle approach and others are high energy and need lots of movement and interaction. I take careful care that your pet is secured and not able to leave the property. I have a huge fenced yard and a field with ample space which allows your pet to in pet heaven! Its a fun time!

“Had to find a last minute sitter for Blue during a roadtrip stop and Elise came through for us right away. LIFE SAVER. Blue can be a lot of energy and sometimes I feel guilty leaving him with someone because of that - but Elise was so welcoming. Blue practically jumped into her arms and she just laughed. Made me feel better immediately (and so welcomed). He played with some other dogs, she kept me updated throughout his time there, and I picked him up smiling, wagging his little tail, and tired out (which, YAY). Would book her again and again if I lived in the area!!”

“Even though my needs were last minute, Meghan welcomed my dogs like it was no problem. Everything went well and I will definitely ask her again when the need arises. Thank You Meghan!”

About: 🐾 About Me Hi there! I’m Kayla, a lifelong animal lover with a big heart for animals. From energetic puppies to mellow seniors, I’ve cared for pets of all personalities and needs — and I treat every one of them like my own. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, medication, or just a little extra TLC, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique routine and personality. You can count on me for: ✨ Reliable, on-time visits 🐶 Lots of love, attention & play 🐾 Updates with photos and messages 🐕 Experience with dogs, cats, and small animals Your pets deserve more than just basic care — they deserve comfort, companionship, and someone who genuinely enjoys being with them. That’s exactly what I provide. Let’s make sure your best friend gets the care (and cuddles) they deserve while you’re away! 💛 I currently work from home during the week and part time at a spa on the weekends. I also have the space to be able to accommodate crates if necessary.
“Dylhan was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. She cared for my babies like they were her own (and her little puppers are so cute and happy!). This was the first time one of my dogs was away from me and he had a great time until the very end while I got to meet the puppies and talk more with Dylhan. He wanted to keep playing! My anxious dog who has had experience away did great as well. Dyhlan made him comfortable and sent me updates with pictures and videos and cared for him when his anxiety made him nauseous. Absolutely can't recommend them enough and very thankful for their help with caring for my babies!”

About: I recently graduated with my MBA and, while I figure out what comes next professionally, I’m currently home full time. That means I’m able to spend plenty of time with my dogs and any dogs staying with me rather than being gone at work all day. I’ve always had dogs in my life, starting when I was a child, and I truly cannot imagine my life without them. Everyone knows that person who walks into a room and says hello to the dogs before the people. That’s me. I’m absolutely that person. I currently have four dogs of my own, so dogs are a pretty big part of everyday life in our house. I have a Pomeranian, a Husky mix, and two Chocolate Labs. My dogs love other dogs, and having dogs ranging from a little Pom to large, energetic dogs has given me plenty of experience with different sizes, personalities, energy levels, and needs. My Pom is 17 now and has definitely earned the right to take life at his own pace. These days, that often means being carried around by me rather than walking everywhere himself. He also has his own smaller fenced area within our large fenced yard so he can enjoy being outside without having to deal with the bouncing energy of the bigger dogs. If a visiting dog needs a little more peace and quiet outside, they are welcome to share his area too. Not every dog wants to be in the middle of the action all the time, and that’s perfectly fine here. For the dogs who DO want to be in the middle of the action, there is plenty of room in our large fenced yard to run, play, explore, or just hang out. And if your dog needs daily walks, I’m your girl! Mine insist on them, so walking is already part of my everyday routine. My Pom makes it about half a mile, my Husky gets around 2.5 miles, and my two Chocolate Labs need at least 3 miles. I walk all four separately, so everyone gets individual time and a walk that actually fits their needs. Adding another walk or two for a visiting dog is no problem, whether they need a long walk to burn off some energy or a short leisurely one to sniff everything along the way. Your dog will fit right in. Inside, there are dog beds and blankets throughout the house, although our dogs are also welcome to sleep with us. Basically, they sleep wherever they decide they are most comfortable. I want a dog staying with us to feel comfortable too, so I’m happy to follow what they are accustomed to at home as much as possible. I also take mealtimes seriously. Our Husky and Pomeranian eat separately, while our two Labs are comfortable eating together. Visiting dogs are typically fed separately from our dogs so everyone can relax and enjoy their meal without competition or unnecessary stress. Depending on the dog, that may be as simple as eating across the room or having a baby gate between them. I adjust based on the individual dogs involved because their comfort and safety matter more than having one rule that every dog has to follow. Some people might say my dogs are spoiled rotten. I prefer to say they are extremely well loved, and that is exactly how I treat the dogs who stay with me. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with all kinds of personalities and needs, from seniors who prefer a quieter pace to younger dogs with energy to spare. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for dogs who may need a little extra attention. Whether your dog is staying for daycare or boarding, I know how important it is to feel confident about the person caring for them. When a dog stays with me, they aren’t treated like a guest I’m watching. They’re treated like part of the family until their family comes back to get them. I am currently home full time, so I have lots of time to spend with my dogs and yours! My life is sincerely built around the happiness and comfort of my babies, and yours when they are with me. Our days already include individual walks, outside time, playtime, meals, plenty of attention, and, of course, lots of lounging and snuggles. Because I’m home, I also have the flexibility to adjust my routine to what your dog is used to. If they normally eat at a certain time, need multiple walks, take medication on a schedule, need more frequent potty breaks, or simply want someone nearby, I can accommodate that. Your dog doesn’t have to adjust to my schedule. As much as possible, I’ll adjust my schedule to theirs. We have a large, fully fenced yard with a smaller fenced area within it for little dogs or dogs who just want some peace and quiet. That way, if the big dogs are running around playing and being their usual goofy selves, the smaller or less energetic dogs don’t have to worry about getting run over! Visiting dogs are welcome to use whichever area makes them most comfortable. We also have multiple dog doors, so dogs can come and go as they need or want rather than having to wait for someone to let them outside. Since I’m home full time, I’m here to keep an eye on everyone throughout the day. I pay attention to each dog and what makes them comfortable. Dogs can be together when they enjoy each other’s company, but I also have plenty of space to separate them when someone needs a break. Meals are typically separated as well, either with physical space or a baby gate, so everyone can eat comfortably and safely without worrying about another dog getting into their food. My own dogs range from a 17 year old Pomeranian to a Husky mix and two Chocolate Labs, so I’m very accustomed to managing different sizes, ages, energy levels, and needs under one roof. I don’t expect every dog to behave or interact the same way. I’d rather adjust the environment to the dog and make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I’ll follow your routines and house rules. My goal is to keep things as familiar as possible for your dog while you’re away, because sometimes the best way to help them feel safe is simply to keep their world as normal as possible.
“Andi and Tim were awesome!! They met us with so much love, excitement and willingness to accept Rollie as her quirky self. Not only were they flexible but they sent me photos n messages to reassure me that Rollie was having the best time and in great hands while they got their dog fix haha. It was great and would 100% recommend them as well as love to book them again next time I’m in town.”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Pleasant Valley
About: For more than 40 years, I’ve loved and cared for dogs and cats of my own. After my last Boxer passed away in 2022, I found a new way to share that love by caring for—and spoiling—the pets of others. I’ve provided excellent pet- and housesitting services on TrustedHousesitters in the Boise area for the past year, earning 20 five-star reviews. Many of my sits have been with repeat hosts, which reflects the trust and dependable care I provide. My experience includes dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, fish, reptiles, and even beetles. Before moving to Boise, I spent 14 years fostering dogs and providing pet-sitting services in the Atlanta area. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to follow instructions carefully while providing plenty of attention, patience, playtime, and affection. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a project manager in the technology industry. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and thoroughly spoiled while you’re away. I currently work full-time as a pet sitter, so caring for pets is my primary focus. I carefully follow your instructions and make sure your pet’s individual needs, routines, feeding schedules, medications, and preferences are respected. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home, taking them on a walk, or enjoying outdoor exercise together, I remain attentive to their surroundings and comfort. I take safety precautions during every visit and activity so your pet can feel secure and relaxed in your absence. You can count on me to provide dependable, thoughtful care while treating your home and your pet with the same respect I would expect for my own.

About: I have been taking care of family/friend pets through the entirety of high school and afterwards. I have worked with a positive feedback trainer with my dog and have been able to apply those teachings to other behaviors in animals. I also know how to handle medications for dogs, from pills, intestine liquids, and topical creams. I absolutely adore big dogs and will totally let them be lap dogs. I love little dogs, even if they try to be ferocious creatures. I work a part-time job and am focusing most of my free time to medical concerns. I traditionally work in the early morning, 6-12. This leaves my afternoons free for the pets, but I can figure out how to care for them in the morning if necessary. Beyond that, I want to maintain active with the animals, playing, cuddling and taking for walks. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes (8, 25, & 100). They have different diets and activity levels, but all maintain their appropriate body weight. We have a fenced backyard for them to roam around in. The big dog is an anxious creature so he gets put in the crate when everyone leaves the house. I specifically worked with him on it and he has done wonderfully with positive reinforcement. I am able to transfer this knowledge to other animals, it might just take a few tries. Access to treats might help 😋. For walks, I can handle dogs big dogs and the ones that pull pretty well. I refuse to use choke chains and shock collars. If they are wearing one, I would like (with your permission) to switch it for a regular collar during the time of my stay.
“Emily is fantastic! I am jealous of my dog’s adventures with her while I am working- from long hikes to dog parks! My dog has a great time socializing with other dogs under her watch as well. Thank you Emily!”

“Daniel has been great with Jack. I book him for a 30 minute walk, but he has been taking Jack on longer walks. He even was able to pick up a last minute walk last week. It puts my mind at ease knowing Jack is not cooped up all day alone and he is always very calm when I get home. Thank you Daniel.”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. I've always owned dogs, including German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Border Collies, and other high energy working breeds. I also grew up caring for horses, goats, dogs, cats, and just about every other animal you can think of. Along the way, I attended basic obedience classes with my own dogs where we learned clicker training and positive reinforcement techniques. Today, I have a German Shepherd and a cat of my own, and I know just how much our pets mean to us. Friends and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets over the years, and it has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I'm on Rover because spending time with animals simply makes me happy. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, and I don't take that trust lightly. When your pet is with me, I'll care for them the same way I care for my own, with patience, lots of love, and attention to their individual needs. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I own my own business, which gives me the flexibility to create my own schedule. Because of that, I'm rarely away for more than a few hours at a time, allowing me to provide attentive care and plenty of companionship for your pet. I'll always do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I am always the person worrying about my own pets and their unique needs when I'm away from the house. This means I will always follow your instructions and care for your pet in extreme detail. Making sure they're secured, have eaten, have plenty of water, ample exercise, any medications needed, and plenty of love and affection. I pay attention to the little things, and will always do everything in my power to ensure their comfortability.

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages because I have always had dogs of my own. I provide loving, reliable care with plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I am comfortable with reactive dogs because I have one of my own. I’m responsible, trustworthy, and treat every dog like my own. I work at a coffee shop, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule when it comes to caring for dogs and cats. I’m usually off early in the afternoon and available for the rest of the day and evening. Even on days when I close, I’m done by 7 PM, so I can still provide evening walks, drop-ins, and care. I’m happy to work around your schedule and make sure your dog and cat gets the attention and care they need. I always follow the safety procedures and guidelines that each client has in place for their pets. When caring for dogs, I make sure they are never left unattended in situations where I cannot keep an eye on them. I also have experience and training working with reactive dogs and safely walking dogs of different personalities and needs. I take safety seriously and want both the dogs and their owners to feel comfortable and confident in my care.

We could see that is a caring family and he would be treated as part of it. During his stay, we got pictures showing us how great he was doing. That was something our family really liked.”

“Bobbie and her husband were perfect hosts and caregivers for Sadie, our chihuahua corgi mix. She is getting old and and a little grouchy when confronted with large dogs or young energetic dogs. Being at Bobbie's place where she was the only dog and had no competition for human attention and affection was great with Sadie. She was healthy and happy when we returned to pick her up after our 10 day trip. Thanks, Bobbie!”

“Alisa was incredible! She was flexible and treated our dog like she was her own. She sent cute pictures and updates. I felt extremely safe leaving our dog with her. Would definitely use her again.”
