“Oreo had a great stay with Jana and her family. They took such good care of my elderly dog and made sure he had activity time and gave him all his meds and gave him care and attention. He got along with their dog, which isn't always easy for my Oreo. I was sent many pictures each evening so I could see how my buddy was enjoying his stay. I highly recommend Jana and Hannah (hope I got that right). I will definitely rebook with them.”

“I love her, Hayley loves her. She would send me pictures and videos to update me on my fur baby. I was so worried about leaving her alone with someone new and the updates really helped. I will be booking Ms. Tamisha again.”

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my deep commitment to providing personalized, loving care for pets of all ages and needs. I understand that each pet has its own personality, routine, and preferences, and I make sure to tailor my care to meet those unique needs. Whether you're leaving behind a playful puppy, a senior pet needing extra comfort, or a pet with special requirements, I am equipped to handle it all. I offer basic puppy training to help with behavior and obedience, ensuring your little one is well-behaved and happy. For senior pets, I provide extra attention, gentle handling, and customized activities that support their mobility and health. I also keep owners updated with regular check-ins and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands. My approach is built on trust, reliability, and a genuine love for animals, making sure your pet feels cared for and secure while you're away. I work from home full time so I am always available for frequent potty breaks and lots of attention 24/7. I like to stay in touch with pet owners with regular updates, photos, and messages so they know exactly how their pet is doing. When your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like part of the family in a comfortable, safe, and pet-friendly environment. My home features a spacious, fenced yard where your dog can run, play, and explore to their heart’s content. There’s plenty of room for fetch, games, and exercise, ensuring they get the physical activity they need. Inside, I don’t use crates; your pet has free access to the entire home, including the couch and the bed—because I believe pets should feel relaxed and at home, just like they would in their own space. I know that some pets are more comfortable lounging with you or snuggling up at night, so I encourage them to be as close as they want. I keep their routine consistent, feeding them at the same times and following any special instructions you’ve provided. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and full of love, so your pet will feel right at home, whether it’s a short stay or a longer visit. I strive to make sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, and affection they need to feel happy and secure while staying in my care.
“Anne was wonderful! She sent me plenty of updates and my pup didn't want to leave when we came to pick her up! Definitely would recommend Anne and I'm sure we will be working with her again!”

“If I could give more than five stars, I would! Denise and her family kept our boys for twelve days and took such great care of them. We got lots of pictures of them being loved on and snuggled. It made us so happy to know that they were comfortable, safe, and happy while we were away. Our dogs’ medications and supplements were not an issue either. We wholeheartedly recommend Denise to anyone who is looking for a home away from home for their dogs.”
“Victoria was awesome! Super professional upon meeting and was absolutely in love with our Dino. She sent lots of pics, gave our guy frequent walks and was extremely easy to communicate and work with. Bottom line, I'd recommend her to anyone!”

“Alexandria was really wonderful with my dog Henry! She was great at communicating both before and during my dog's stay. Henry seemed to have a great time and got along well with her sweet dogs!”

“Amy was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. She allowed extra time for pickup when our flight got in late. She kept us updated and sent pictures of Blue throughout his stay. I will definitely book with Amy again!”

“Mary was amazing. My dog Thyon is a sweet but skittish boy. Since making a big move from the country to the city, he has suffered from anxiety which he needed to be medicated for. I tried traditional boarding facilities however they were not a good fit. There were too many loud noises and he always came home stressed and nervous. Mary provided a wonderful environment. Not only was he able to quickly adapt and feel comfortable, but he seemed to thrived there. He was running in the yard with her dog Elle. Which he has not done since we moved months ago. I have finally found a place where I am comfortable to leave my boy and know he’s being well cared for. Thanks Mary!”

“2nd time we used Travis. Riley our almost 7 year old GR had a great stay. 5 nights at Travis’s home. Riley and Ginger(Travis’s) dog got along great. Travis sent us updates, photos and videos throughout the stay. We will definitely be using Travis again in the future. Highly recommend Travis and his care.”

About: Hi I’m Zoë! I love all animals, big and small and have been around them my whole life. >I have owned many different types of animals: dogs, cats, fish, a ferret, guinea pigs, a hedgehog, ect... >I have experience with a spectrum of ages, sizes, and breeds of dogs. I am good with puppies in training, as well as senior dogs who need accommodations. >Right now I have a dog (Bailey, 3), a farm cat, a fish, and also a flock of ducks. >I also offer yard clean up services and homemade dogfood! >I have been working for Rover since 2023 after I graduated from OSU >I moved to Fairfield County in 2024 I currently work part time at a greenhouse and run my own business. Most of my days are very flexible and I am open to new short and long term clients! On Visits: I’m down stop in and visit your dog, or take them out on a walk in the yard or neighborhood. Feeding, playing, walking, trick training, giving medicine, and having hang time are all in my comfort zone. I can follow specific directions and trust my gut instincts. I love all dogs, big and small. They all have different personalities and I like to take my time to learn a dog and their preferences and tendencies. I always bring a treat with me on meet and greets if allowed, and I understand dog behavior enough to interpret their mood. For Dog Boarding: At my house, we have baby gates to separate the floors of the house, the cat stays upstairs most of the time. I like to have dogs meet on leashes or through a gate, I never leave unfamiliar dogs alone together, and my house is very dog friendly, with hardwood and linoleum and not much floor clutter. Outside, my dog is off leash trained (I know I am spoiled), but all other dogs I keep on a leash if we are outside or on an 100ft rope when we take walks through the field.
“Cody went above and beyond while watching my fur baby! She was able to sit for me while I went on a work trip. She followed all my care instructions and sent pictures daily. He was sad to leave his new friend after an amazing stay with her.”

“Wonder with our needy and at times difficult dogs. This was our first big trip leaving our 2 dogs with someone other then close friends and we were very pleased with how they were cared for.”

“Kat was/is truly amazing with my Zara! I received updates daily by text and videos. I could tell Zara was treated like her own. Zara had so much fun I thought she wouldn’t want to comeback home.. lol 😂. Thanks again for your kindness, professionalism, and expertise! Zara will be back as long as you will have her❤️❤️ Thanks again!”

“Summer was amazing! She was accommodating and understanding when we issues with dropoff and pickup. Lucky had a wonderful time with her and her family. Will definitely have her again as a sitter”

“Maolin was the best and took such good care of Avery! She sent daily updates of their adventures on walks and to the dog park. With her we knew our pup was safe and happy over a long trip out of town!”

About: Your pet is in the best hands with me! I have over 25 years of pet sitting experience which includes part time work with veterinary professionals. We’ll spend our time napping, snacking, and playing in the park. My pet guests are cared for almost all day long. I’m available during day and maintain flexibility with my work schedule. I can accommodate furry friends with small bladders as well as those in need of more day time exercise. I have amble indoor space for your besties to roam and get comfortable. With at least 4 windows pet accessible, my Zoë is able to watch the wildlife by the creek, bark at the neighbors, and sunbathe. Zoë is eager to make new friends but if things get rowdy I have gates, crates, and a large basement for R&R.
“Emily responded quickly, sent pics of my boys playing in the yard. She said they didn't eat much the first day but that's to be expected because they get anxious being left behind. But having boarded my dog tigger before he's usually anxious for days after being picked up and didn't have that this time, so that tells me a lot. ”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pickerington
I have booked Jaz as a walker due to surgery preventing me from walking my dog for a while. Because of her dependability, professionalism, and communication I also booked Jaz to board my dog in her home for a short vacation. She is set up to board beautifully, and my dog loves her and her family, which is really the true test of a person. I am so glad to find someone that I trust who does such a great job.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
