Karla was our trainer at Take The Lead Dog Training and we were so impressed with her skills at helping to train our strong willed and somewhat naughty girl. I was able to enjoy my vacation and not worry about Posey because I knew she was in good hands. Posey got the chance to get some socialization with other dogs which she needed. I will definitely use Karla again.”

About: I have always had a love and passion for caring for small dogs. Over the past three years, I have gained personal experience caring for my own pet, learning the importance of patience, consistency, love, and attention in helping a dog feel safe and happy. Throughout the years, I have also helped care for family and friends’ pets, which has allowed me to build trust with different dogs and understand their unique needs and personalities. One of my favorite parts of caring for dogs is watching them grow into their own little personalities. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine because I have been caring for my own small dog for the last three years. Each day, I make time for feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure my dog feels loved, safe, and comfortable. Throughout the week, I also make space for longer walks, extra playtime, grooming needs, and quality bonding time. Since I have helped watch family and friends’ pets over the years, I understand how important it is to keep pets on a routine that feels familiar to them. Pet care fits naturally into my life because I truly enjoy being around dogs, learning their personalities, and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I currently work full time from home 4 days a week and have plenty of time to help others care for their fur babies. I care for pets with patience, attention, and love when they are in my home. My goal is always to make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their routine as normal as possible. In my home, I provide a clean, calm, and welcoming environment where pets can relax, play, cuddle, and feel like part of the family. I make sure they have fresh water, proper feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. Since I have a passion for small dogs, I really enjoy creating a space where they can feel comfortable and loved. Whether I am cuddling with them, taking them on walks, playing with them, or simply keeping them company, I care for every pet as if they were my own.

About: Hi I’m Zoë! I love all animals, big and small and have been around them my whole life. >I have owned many different types of animals: dogs, cats, fish, a ferret, guinea pigs, a hedgehog, ect... >I have experience with a spectrum of ages, sizes, and breeds of dogs. I am good with puppies in training, as well as senior dogs who need accommodations. >Right now I have a dog (Bailey, 3), a farm cat, a fish, and also a flock of ducks. >I also offer yard clean up services and homemade dogfood! >I have been working for Rover since 2023 after I graduated from OSU >I moved to Fairfield County in 2024 I currently work part time at a greenhouse and run my own business. Most of my days are very flexible and I am open to new short and long term clients! On Visits: I’m down stop in and visit your dog, or take them out on a walk in the yard or neighborhood. Feeding, playing, walking, trick training, giving medicine, and having hang time are all in my comfort zone. I can follow specific directions and trust my gut instincts. I love all dogs, big and small. They all have different personalities and I like to take my time to learn a dog and their preferences and tendencies. I always bring a treat with me on meet and greets if allowed, and I understand dog behavior enough to interpret their mood. For Dog Boarding: At my house, we have baby gates to separate the floors of the house, the cat stays upstairs most of the time. I like to have dogs meet on leashes or through a gate, I never leave unfamiliar dogs alone together, and my house is very dog friendly, with hardwood and linoleum and not much floor clutter. Outside, my dog is off leash trained (I know I am spoiled), but all other dogs I keep on a leash if we are outside or on an 100ft rope when we take walks through the field.
