“Elizabeth and her family were wonderful. She kept us updated on our Fur baby which was very helpful. It was our first time being away from home, so we were a little anxious about the process. She made it very easy for us and we will definitely use her services again! In fact I'm pretty sure that Fur baby wants a playdate!”

“The dogs both loved the environment in the home and seemed comfortable and content. There were enough people present to give them the attention and care they needed. She sent frequent updates with pictures of the way they were behaving. Overall very pleased with how they did.”

“Karen was wonderful! She had my dog for 11 days and kept me updated so well. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone and will definitely be taking my dog to her again!”

“This is the second time that my two little dogs have boarded with Laura and her family. They did a great job again taking care of our fur babies! “Katie was great! She was able to watch our Bichon even though it was super short notice. When we arrived to pick him up next day we found him cuddling on the couch getting all the attention he could have ever wanted. We definitely recommend her services and we will definitely ask her to watch him again! Thanks so much!”

“I booked Lauren for the second time, and once again she was amazing! She takes such great care of my Xena and really caters to her needs, especially when it comes to food and routines. I love that she sends plenty of updates throughout the visit, it gives me so much peace of mind. She’s professional, attentive, and genuinely cares. I absolutely love her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter!”

“Cristi was absolutely wonderful! She sent pictures and my pups were very well taken care of. About: Hi I’m Zoë! I love all animals, big and small and have been around them my whole life. >I have owned many different types of animals: dogs, cats, fish, a ferret, guinea pigs, a hedgehog, ect... >I have experience with a spectrum of ages, sizes, and breeds of dogs. I am good with puppies in training, as well as senior dogs who need accommodations. >Right now I have a dog (Bailey, 3), a farm cat, a fish, and also a flock of ducks. >I also offer yard clean up services and homemade dogfood! >I have been working for Rover since 2023 after I graduated from OSU >I moved to Fairfield County in 2024 I currently work part time at a greenhouse and run my own business. Most of my days are very flexible and I am open to new short and long term clients! On Visits: I’m down stop in and visit your dog, or take them out on a walk in the yard or neighborhood. Feeding, playing, walking, trick training, giving medicine, and having hang time are all in my comfort zone. I can follow specific directions and trust my gut instincts. I love all dogs, big and small. They all have different personalities and I like to take my time to learn a dog and their preferences and tendencies. I always bring a treat with me on meet and greets if allowed, and I understand dog behavior enough to interpret their mood. For Dog Boarding: At my house, we have baby gates to separate the floors of the house, the cat stays upstairs most of the time. I like to have dogs meet on leashes or through a gate, I never leave unfamiliar dogs alone together, and my house is very dog friendly, with hardwood and linoleum and not much floor clutter. Outside, my dog is off leash trained (I know I am spoiled), but all other dogs I keep on a leash if we are outside or on an 100ft rope when we take walks through the field.
“Dajon was great! He was able to watch my pup very last minute for a couple days. He sent pics and videos every day and made sure my pup was comfortable! I will definitely use him again in the future!”

“Cody went above and beyond while watching my fur baby! She was able to sit for me while I went on a work trip. She followed all my care instructions and sent pictures daily. He was sad to leave his new friend after an amazing stay with her.”

“Tamisha is absolutely wonderful! She stayed in contact with me the entire time my fur-baby was in her care. She was kind and has such a sweet character. Definitely recommend!”

“It's really difficult to trust your baby with someone. But I could tell that Emily really loves dogs and I knew my boy would have a good weekend. I barely checked in because I could tell he was safe and happy when I left him with her. Will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thank you again!”

“Stacey and her family’s home was a perfect stay for Moki Marie. She took walks and had lots of play time with the kids and snuggle time with the whole family. Plus, my feeding directions were followed which is important for Moki’s tummy. If you want your dog loved and cared for with extra attention, I highly recommend Stacey and Bruce and their family!!!! 🥰”

“Ashleigh was wonderful with my senior dog. He is very timid and from the pictures, he seemed to be right at home with her. Made me very happy he had a safe, secure and loving place to stay while I was traveling.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lithopolis
Laura was a great pet sitter and took such good care of my baby. I was in the process of moving and she kept my dog for a couple of days so that I could focus on a move, which was so helpful. She’s so friendly very communicative and Reese was very happy at her home.

Laura was an amazing sitter! She (and her family) took excellent care of our two pups while we are on vacation for a week. She sent multiple pictures and updates every day. It was reassuring to see from those updates that our dogs were having a great time on their own vacation. I also appreciated how accommodating Laura was when I asked to make a change in the pick up time. I feel very lucky to have found her and would definitely book with her again!

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
