About: I’ve always had dogs in my life, so I am very used to their behavior and I absolutely love being around them! I’ve dealt with senior dogs as well as puppies, so nothing will surprise me😂 I am currently a student, and I have many open hours that I am free to take care of your pet! I am free most nights to house sit as well. I have two dogs of my own and a cat so I am very used to having pets around!! If need be, I have experience putting pets into crates and administering medicine.
About: I've been an animal lover my entire life, and caring for both cats and dogs have always brought me a lot of joy. Growing up I always had both cats and dogs in the house at all times. Caring for them through every stage of life has taught me a lot about patience, trust and the eclectic personalities that make pets so wonderful. I love learning about animal behavior and body language so I can help animals feel safe, understood and comfortable. I believe in meeting them where they are and earning their trust at their own pace, no matter the personality type. As a mainly remote working professional, I have the flexibility to provide dependable visits and walks throughout the day. I can easily fit care into my routine while updating parents with photos and messages along the way. I understand inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. As an owner with specific pet routines of my own, I know that each pet has their own preferences and comfort level that I pay close attention to. My goal is to provide dependable care, clear communication and peace of mind so you can be present while you're away knowing your pet is in good hands.

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs of all sizes, and chickens. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I have experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, bathing, administering oral medications, cleaning litter boxes and animal areas, and providing lots of attention and companionship. I’m comfortable caring for both high-energy pets who love to play and older animals who may need a gentler approach and extra patience. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always do my best to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free. Whether your pet needs long walks, cuddle time, medication, enrichment activities, or just someone dependable to check in on them, I’m happy to help! I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, attentive, and trustworthy, and I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own. I currently work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and open evening availability for walks, check-ins, feedings, playtime, and overnight care. Because of my flexibility, I’m able to provide reliable care and accommodate a variety of routines and pet needs. I have experience with daily walks, feeding routines, litter box cleaning, bathing, administering oral medications, enrichment activities, crate routines, and providing lots of companionship and attention. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calmer environment, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them most comfortable. I always aim to make pets feel as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible by maintaining their normal routine and giving them plenty of attention, care, and patience. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully while also making sure pets receive playtime, companionship, exercise, and lots of affection. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when their owners are away. For dogs, I provide walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration if needed, and plenty of engagement and supervision. For cats, I provide feeding, litter box cleaning, enrichment/playtime, brushing if requested, medication administration, and calm companionship that matches each cat’s comfort level and personality. I’m very attentive to behavior changes and always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and communication. I also make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.
About: I have had many dogs and cats throughout my lifetime. I treat all animals with love and respect and enjoy their energy. I have experience with young puppies to senior dogs and cats. My dog Addie is 14 and is winding down these days. This gives me time for exercising your dog or cat or playing and giving them quality time in your home. I am a young at heart, very active 66 year old equestrian with lots of time and energy to give to your beloved fur babies. I have good endurance and can walk hills and go on hikes. However, I am not able to walk larger dogs that pull strongly on the leash and react to squirrels, cats, or other dogs due to the concern of falling. I am retired so I am available any day of the week. I am available to walk your dog (small to medium) or senior big dogs. I am available to come to your house to play and/or spend time with your dog or cat while you are away. My dog is 14 and a bit cranky so I cannot have animals in my home while she is still with me. However, I can come to your house and provide company and exercise to your dog or cat. I will stay with your pet during your absence up to 5 hours a day. I will feed, change the litter box, entertain them with walks and/or playtime. Or just sit with them and keep them company. Eventually I will be available to care for dogs or cats in my home or overnight at yours, once my girl passes on. At this time, my time is limited to 4 to 5 hours per day due to not wanting to leave my dog alone for longer than 5 hours.
“Thank you Sam for walking Reshi and letting him burn some energy. He was so much happier when he came home. I appreciate how prompt you were and how well you communitcated with me for our first meeting. Thank you for taking him on short notice. I really appreciate you and will be in touch next time I need a day off from walking him.”

I’m working relief shifts now so I have various availability to fit most pet parents needs. Whether that be drop in pet sitting/ enrichment or dog walking. I have 2 small dogs and 3 cats at home. So I can’t pet sit in my home but I’m happy to provide drop in services.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, but I’ve had experience taking care of dogs on a dairy farm which got a little rowdy at times. I’m currently starting a job that will hopefully be full-time But might be a little shaky for a couple months so I’ll have a lot of free time to walk your dogs! I have a fenced yard and two dogs that are friendly for your puppy dog to play with. And if they just need a walk I will make sure that that puppy will have the best sleep after.
“Alex has been incredibly reliable and caring with my dog. They’re gentle, kind, and clearly love what they do. I always feel at ease knowing my pup is in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, caring for them through every stage from playful puppies to sweet senior years. That lifelong experience has given me a deep understanding of their needs, personalities, and behaviors. For the past eight years, I’ve also been the dedicated owner of a large dog, so I’m confident handling bigger breeds, strong pullers, and high-energy pups. Safety, consistency, and patience are always my priorities. Whether your dog needs structured exercise, a relaxed stroll, or attentive in-home care, I treat every pet like they’re my own with reliability, love, and plenty of tail-wagging attention. I work part-time at my current job so I am available at different times during the day! I have a flexible schedule so I can help you give your best friend some love or a break out of the house during your busy days. I care for pets in a way that keeps their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and household guidelines exactly as requested. I make sure pets receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and clean water at all times. I’m attentive to behavior changes and always prioritize safety during walks and visits.
About: Hi! A little bit about me… I have grown up with animals for as long as I can remember. From farm summer camps to taking care of neighbor’s pets to adopting dogs and cats from the local shelter, I have always loved having animals in my life. With around eight years of professional pet care experience, I offer pet walking, overnight stays and day care visits for dogs, cats and other pets. My main goals are to ensure your pet is comfortable, happy and safe, and that the owner feels the same. I understand being away from your pet is hard, so I want to provide as much comfort as possible. I have had experience with young, senior and challenging pets. I also volunteered at NorthBay Animal Services and Petaluma Pet Pals. Both were great experiences and allowed me to get to know many different pups and kittens. I’m excited to meet your furry friend! I just graduated from college at the University of Oregon and am home for a few months. I am looking for some sweet pets to hang out with and care for! My main goals are to ensure your pet is comfortable, happy and safe, and that the owner feels the same. I understand being away from your pet is hard, so I want to provide as much comfort as possible. I am responsible, reliable and gentle.
About: I’ve raised 3 puppies into adulthood. I have experience potty training puppies. I’m also good at taking pups to their vet appointment. I am very active so I have a lot of energy to keep up with hyperactivity. Doing Rover Full time now and have a lot of free time so no worries I will have a schedule dedicated to your pet’s needs. I am very patient and observant. I will keep your pet engaged in indoor and outdoor activities! Unfortunately, I can’t keep pets in my apartment. If you provide me with house rules for your pet I will follow them to the best of my ability. I can be in consistent communication with pet owners.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, and it would truly be a privilege to work with animals every day! Over the years, I’ve volunteered at various animal shelters and have loved every minute of it. I thrive when I’m surrounded by all types of animals — each with their own unique personality and needs. With how expensive life has become, I want to offer my services at a very low and affordable rate. I completely understand that sometimes finances can be tight, and a pet still needs care. In those cases, I’m always willing to offer my time and services free of charge. A pet’s wellbeing should never depend on money — we’re all part of the same community, and I believe in helping one another. Animals need love, attention, and exercise — and they deserve it every day. I’d love the opportunity to help keep your pet happy, healthy, and loved. 🐾 Bonus: I also have experience in leash training cats! 😺 I have a flexible schedule, so I am available anytime to assist with your pets needs! Preferably west side of Petaluma. I am also available to feed and play with your cat on a wknd if you are out of town. I currently have two cats, and they pretty much own the place. I make sure they have toys, high places to climb on, and comfy beds to nap in. I would love to own a dog, but at the moment it’s not in the cards for me as I don’t have a large enough home yet. Give yourself the Peace of mind that your pet is well taken care of while you are away❣️

About: There's never been a time when I haven't been surrounded by animals, and I have grown to enjoy and take seriously the care of pets. I also worked part-time at a kennel, and have lots of experience with many different breeds of dogs. As a pet sitter, I make sure to put the animals comfort and care first and offer updates daily to pet owners. I am also a very active person and I'm constantly hiking or going for runs. I have cared for everything from birds, dogs, cats, horses, and reptiles. I've also helped to train dogs (and puppies) as well as groom them. I don't think I've ever met an animal that I didn't love, and would love to get to know yours! I work from home on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and can be available some weekends with advanced notice. After getting to know a dog, would consider house boarding. No overnights at someone’s house at this time. Since I work from home, I would be able to schedule my day around the walks for the dogs. I can do a walk to the park on my lunch breaks, or start or end the day with them. I always treat my clients home with respect and aim to leave if the same or better than I found it. At this time, only established pets in my schedule would be open for at home care. For those pets, we’re used to organizing our schedule around special needs dogs, including making sure a camera is on for any moments we might leave the house.

Erin is amazing! She is responsible, punctual, and communicative. I scheduled walks with Erin at a time when things were really hectic in my personal life and I needed the extra support. Knowing that Erin was taking care of Ellie during this stressful time eased a lot of my own stress and allowed me to show up for other things with one less thing to worry about. Truly grateful. Thank you, Erin!

Wyatt walked our dog and spent time with our cat while my family was on vacation and I was home working 9hrs a day. He is very responsive, dependable and took great care of our pets. He made sure to keep me updaterd and I felt comfortable having him come by the house. I would very much recommend him and will book with him again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
