Kate was awesome and kept me up to date on everything as she took my Siberian Husky for a walk. He tends to pull on a leash and even saw some deer while Kate was walking him and she kept control and had a nice walk with him. I will be using Kate plenty of times for walks in the future. You should to!

About: I have been in the animal field since I was 16, completing a veterinary assistant program during high school. During Covid, I helped my aunt foster 3 rescue beagles as well as caring for her other two dogs. Since then, I have worked at multiple doggy daycare and boarding facilities and have pets of my own! I work 6am to 6pm every Tuesday-Friday so ideally, I’d need flexibility on drop-in visits for those days, but I have open availability on the weekends + Monday I am currently only providing drop-in visits which means your pet/s will stay in the comfort and safety of their own home. I always do meet n greets where the pet will be staying.

About: I've grown up with pets my entire life and understand the basic of animal husbandry. My passion for animals mixed with my background in veterinary medicine allows me the opportunity to service clients who have pets with medical needs. I posses skills and knowledge about animals that can directly be applied to the wellbeing of your pets while they are in my care. As vet med student- my schedules are given to us in advance. Therefore, I am able to offer availability to clients that will not change once confirmed. Rest assured, once booked, your family member(s) will be well taken care of and you will have peace of mind to focus on work, your vacation or a weekend out! Safety and animals wellbeing is always at the forefront of my mind. Working in vet med we pay very close attention to detail to ensure we are caring for our patients to the best of our abilities and this will directly apply to the safety of clients animal's. I will be sure to follow any instructions and directions of owners while they are gone to help ensure their pet is in good health and safe while owners are away. Animals will never be left unattended unless specified by owners or they will be placed in a crate. Pets will not mingle with any other animals (including my own) unless permission is granted by owners prior to event. About: Howdy there & nice to meet you, I am a kindred soul who has experience working in doggy day cares/boarding camps as well as volunteering hours at various local animal shelters. I am an aspiring pet groomer and will be taking classes for that soon as well. I turned my passion to vibe with furry friends into paid play dates. I am a natural care giver and would love to meet your little (or big) one! I work a hybrid remote job so my schedule is super flexible. I have to already incorporate my schedule around my rightfully spoiled only child (Lincoln, my 8-year old Husky mix). I also combine pet care time with my self-care routine for exercise/physical activity. (Work smarter not harder). I have a fenced yard/porch, as well as a doggy door built into the door that leads to said yard/porch and security cameras that cover the yard so we can always see what's going on. As well as various toys, treats, and walking equipment always available to all our furry friends.

About: I have been around pups of all shapes and sizes. From Jack Russels to Great Danes, I have loved them all!! Currently have a 6 year old Boxer who would love to run and play in our fenced in backyard with your pup! He is SUPER friendly and needs a pal to keep him young. Your dog will be at home in my home. I can crate if needed. I travel during the week but home all day every weekend Friday - Sunday. Your pets are in great hands as I like to spend my weekends taking my own pup on long walks, playing fetch in the backyard, and relaxing from the long week. I have a fenced in backyard with 1 6 year old Boxer of my own. Marshall is very friendly and would love to play with your pup. Your pup will get lots of yard time, play time, and snuggle time at our house! If needed, we can crate your dog to ensure they have the safest and most comfortable experience. Otherwise, your dog will get to run around in the house with Marshall and sleep where ever they please.

Maria is amazing! You just know she will be the perfect fit once you meet her. We used her for our 105lb doberman and she was so great with him and took some amazing pictures that we will always treasure. Our dog was on hospice care for an enlarged heart and she was confident with an emergency plan that really set our minds at ease while we had to work. The week she walked our baby we knew he was having amazing walks and being taken care of. She is personable, and we appreciate her great communication. I know we would have used her for a very long time.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Parkville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parkville. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
