“Dennis was enjoyable to work with and was understanding and kind to our Border Collie when she was hesitant to leave our house with a new person - he was patient and gained her trust.”

“Kate was awesome and kept me up to date on everything as she took my Siberian Husky for a walk. He tends to pull on a leash and even saw some deer while Kate was walking him and she kept control and had a nice walk with him. I will be using Kate plenty of times for walks in the future. You should to!”

About: I've grown up with pets my entire life and understand the basic of animal husbandry. My passion for animals mixed with my background in veterinary medicine allows me the opportunity to service clients who have pets with medical needs. I posses skills and knowledge about animals that can directly be applied to the wellbeing of your pets while they are in my care. As vet med student- my schedules are given to us in advance. Therefore, I am able to offer availability to clients that will not change once confirmed. Rest assured, once booked, your family member(s) will be well taken care of and you will have peace of mind to focus on work, your vacation or a weekend out! Safety and animals wellbeing is always at the forefront of my mind. Working in vet med we pay very close attention to detail to ensure we are caring for our patients to the best of our abilities and this will directly apply to the safety of clients animal's. I will be sure to follow any instructions and directions of owners while they are gone to help ensure their pet is in good health and safe while owners are away. Animals will never be left unattended unless specified by owners or they will be placed in a crate. Pets will not mingle with any other animals (including my own) unless permission is granted by owners prior to event. I am fully accessible if the owners have any questions ,concerns, or just want updates on how their furry friend is doing.
About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was a child. Ive seen it all. And many times I’ve taken care of friends and family’s pets and cared for them just like my own. I’m currently working from home so I have plenty of time through the week to care for your pet. My weekends can also be flexible! We have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of room to roam. It also includes a dog park so they can roam freely. There’s also plenty of neighborhoods surrounding us to offer long dog walks. We also have a little dog of our own, so you’re dog will have a companion
“Michelle is wonderful . She had been very flexible helping with my dog. We just moved here and my schedule is constantly changing . She has been nothing but accommodating and absolutely sweet and caring for my wonderful dog! Thank you Michelle!”

About: I have been in the animal field since I was 16, completing a veterinary assistant program during high school. During Covid, I helped my aunt foster 3 rescue beagles as well as caring for her other two dogs. Since then, I have worked at multiple doggy daycare and boarding facilities and have pets of my own! I work 6am to 6pm every Tuesday-Friday so ideally, I’d need flexibility on drop-in visits for those days, but I have open availability on the weekends + Monday I am currently only providing drop-in visits which means your pet/s will stay in the comfort and safety of their own home. I always do meet n greets where the pet will be staying.
“I am so grateful for Carolyn! She answered me so fast with a last minute booking and was here in less than 20 minutes! She was so accommodating and sweet! I would highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs since I was young. In middle school my mom started my cat obsession (bathe, feed, cuddles of course, changing litter box, administer medicine) and although I still love them, dogs definitely tend to be more theatrical. : ) I have lots of patience for pups and stubborn older dogs (let's be honest, we can all be a little stubborn) (feeding, walks, baths, administering medicine, belly rubs) I have a theatrical dog named Owen (sometimes I think he was an actor in his past life) to keep your pups company throughout the day. I currently work from home full-time and have a flexible schedule. I'm able to take dog park/walking breaks, or check-in on your pets when needed. My apartment has a long walking trail (we walk in the morning and evening) and a dog park that we go to twice a day as well. *My apartment does not have any breed restrictions, I understand that some breeds get bad reps, but I was raised with a pitbull that is truly a teddy bear.* When dropping in on pets I like to ask lots of questions at first, because I want to make sure the care is consistent to their daily routine.
About: Howdy there & nice to meet you, I am a kindred soul who has experience working in doggy day cares/boarding camps as well as volunteering hours at various local animal shelters. I am an aspiring pet groomer and will be taking classes for that soon as well. I turned my passion to vibe with furry friends into paid play dates. I am a natural care giver and would love to meet your little (or big) one! I work a hybrid remote job so my schedule is super flexible. I have to already incorporate my schedule around my rightfully spoiled only child (Lincoln, my 8-year old Husky mix). I also combine pet care time with my self-care routine for exercise/physical activity. (Work smarter not harder). I have a fenced yard/porch, as well as a doggy door built into the door that leads to said yard/porch and security cameras that cover the yard so we can always see what's going on. As well as various toys, treats, and walking equipment always available to all our furry friends.
About: Experienced dog caregiver! I have cared for all sizes and temperaments from the chillest big guys to the craziest small ones (and vice versa of course) Extremely organized and attentive. I will execute all your needs as desired. My goal is to make you feel assured that you left your best friend with someone who you can trust, appreciate and communicate easily with. Please reach out with ANY and ALL questions - thanks!! I work from home 3 days out of the week, with no time restrictions. So plenty of time to walk or drop in on your besties! I am also available most weekends! I have no problem packing my things and coming to you so your fur babies can feel comfortable. At the same time, I understand the uneasy feeling of having a stranger in your home, so dropping off your fur baby to me is always another option!

About: Hello! I have been a dog walker/sitter for 8 years and have taken care of several clients and their dogs, including relatives and neighbors. I am 18 years old, with a dog of my own and a huge passion for dogs, who is currently studying to be a veterinarian. Additionally, I take pride and excellence in letting dogs outside, cleaning up their messes, having high patience and tolerance, ability to withstand dog barking/scratching/biting etc, bathing, feeding, watering, and dog walking. I also give special attention to any additional needs a dog may have At this time, I am not working any part time or full time jobs. I am willing to support you and your pet family at any time and during any day. Based on your preferences, I can walk and sit your dogs at any frequency. Just let me know what works best for them and I will be willing to accommodate you When it comes to my neighbor’s, relative’s, and my own dog, I take care of them by putting food and water in their bowls once they run empty, taking them outside when they line up at the door or every 0-2 hours, giving them lots of pets, separating any dog that gets in a fight with their sibling using calm/safe measures, plenty of walks and a kind demeanor. Any dog that is in my care will be in good hands
“This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous, but Rio was wonderful. Great communication and cute photos of my 13 year old Shih Tzu. No complaints. Will definitely request Rio in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Platte Woods
Maria is amazing! You just know she will be the perfect fit once you meet her. We used her for our 105lb doberman and she was so great with him and took some amazing pictures that we will always treasure. Our dog was on hospice care for an enlarged heart and she was confident with an emergency plan that really set our minds at ease while we had to work. The week she walked our baby we knew he was having amazing walks and being taken care of. She is personable, and we appreciate her great communication. I know we would have used her for a very long time.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
