“Abigail was great! She stayed a few nights to watch our dog and cat. They were well taken care of and the house was left in great condition. I also liked the photos we got each day. Will definitely ask her to pet sit again!”

About: Dogs have been the center of my life for over 16 years. My journey started with my two little terriers. A Yorkie and a Silky Terrier who quickly turned my love for animals into a lifelong passion and purpose. Over the years I became the person friends, family, and neighbors call when they find an animal in need. Whether it's helping rescue a neglected dog, connecting someone with a shelter, or stepping in to care for a pet, I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to advocate for animals who can’t speak for themselves. In August 2023 I lost my soul dog, Lola, and the grief was overwhelming. In her honor, I began volunteering at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Shelter in October 2023. Helping the dogs there reminded me how much love I still had to give. Since then I’ve fostered dogs for the shelter as well as local rescues like Peanut’s Place Small Dog Rescue and FurBabies Animal Rescue. Every foster that has passed through my home has received my full heart and dedication, and seeing them find loving homes has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. In 2024 I foster-failed with my sweet girl Lacey, who reminded me so much of Lola and became a permanent part of my family. Caring for rescue dogs has given me experience with dogs of many breeds, temperaments, and ages, from shy and scared pups to energetic personalities who just need guidance and love. Dogs aren’t just pets to me, they are family. I treat every dog in my care the same way I treat my own. I am currently working part-time, so I am home most of the day. My schedule is flexible and can make myself available for walks and feedings morning midday afternoons and evenings as needed. Providing a safe, loving, and calm environment is always my top priority. I live in a townhome with a small fenced backyard, and our neighborhood is extremely dog-friendly. Many of my neighbors have dogs, so I’m constantly out walking my dog and foster pups making sure they get exercise, enrichment, and fresh air. When caring for dogs in my home or yours, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I also understand that every dog has a unique personality and comfort level, so I always take the time to learn their needs and boundaries. Safety and trust are incredibly important to me. I pay close attention to body language, keep a clean and calm environment, and ensure dogs always feel secure and comfortable. My experience volunteering, fostering, and walking dogs has helped me become very attentive to changes in behavior, energy, and stress levels. Whether your dog needs a relaxing walk, overnight care, or just someone to keep them company while you're away, you can trust that they will receive patience, love, and attentive care. As a bonus, I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with even more pet parents in our community.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 20 years, from energetic puppies as a kid growing up to wise senior dogs with special needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, medication, or just being a calm and reassuring presence, I treat every dog like they’re my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels — from zoomies to couch potatoes. I work full time remotely, with slight travel on an annual basis. My schedule is pretty flexible! Perfect for early mornings, lunch, or afternoon care with weekend availability majority of the time! When I care for your pet in your home, I treat it like my own — with respect, cleanliness, and attention to detail. I know how important it is to keep your pet’s routine and environment consistent, so I follow your instructions carefully and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I’ll also send daily updates with pictures so you know everything’s going smoothly. My goal is to make sure your pets — and you — feel completely at ease.
“Pepper and Feather were happy and healthy when we got home! Feather is an older dog who can be challenging! Shelbie was responsible, responsive and respectful!”

“Hilarious and accurate updates of our pets and their personalities. Very friendly, prompt, and loving of the animals. Would highly recommend Katherine and I will be using her services again!”

“Jordan was a fantastic house and dog sitter for her first stay with me. She was reliable, communicated clearly throughout, and kept me updated with great photos and videos of my dogs—which I really appreciated. It gave me total peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. She also left my home very clean and well cared for. I would absolutely have her back again!”

“Nikki did such an amazing job caring for our two pups during a 4 day house sitting. As littermates, they needed someone with extra patience and experience handling their occasional reactivity. She really took the time to get to know them and understand their individual behaviors. Nikki made us feel so comfortable with regular updates, and adorable pictures. She even managed to leave the house cleaner than when she arrived! Next booking is just weeks away, twice as long, and we have no doubts that she'll be fantastic with them again!”

“Second time having Eric as a sitter for my pups. He seems to do a great job in taking care of the dogs while they are in his care. He is all about making sure your animals are cared for as they should be. Would hire for a 3rd time!”

“Our pets are always happy when we return to the house after Lauren has taken such good care of them. The cat has had her medicine and the dog has been entertained. Thank you, Lauren.”
“Angela did a wonderful job with our dog Baxter. She was extremely communicative and made sure we knew how he was doing. Would definitely recommend using her to care for your pup!”

Savannah was absolutely wonderful with Moses. She clearly cares about the animals she looks after, and I could tell Moses was comfortable and happy the entire time. Tera stayed with our little baby for over a week. During the time we were away, Tera kept me informed as to how our angel was doing and sent multiple photos that cheered me! Tera also was very aware of the deer in the yard and our return flight. She was more than willing to come back that morning if there was a complication which eased my anxiety. Upon our return we found the house clean and our precious girl completely well cared for! Thank you Tera!!!

With it being the first time I have left my dog with anyone except family; I was extremely nervous to leave for four days. Shelbie kept me in the loop & gave me updates on how both my animals were doing! I could tell by the time Colby first met her, he would be in safe hands & by the pictures she sent throughout the weekend I knew he was having fun!

Meredith really went above and beyond on this most recent trip for us! We went out of town just before the big snowstorm in Charlotte, and she was very consistent and timely taking care of Daisy despite the weather. We’re so grateful to have her travel across town in less than ideal conditions, especially on a steeper hill nearby. Daisy got to play in the snow, and always got her treats and meds on time. So grateful for the help!

Reagan is incredible! It was our first time having someone dog sit at our house, but she quickly put us at ease. She took great care of the pups and our home. She had excellent communication and sent fun updates and pictures. We definitely plan on booking with her again!!

Lobo, our 12 year old 10lb rescue chihuahua mix approves! Matthew was so patient with him even though Lobo takes a bit to warm up to new people. By the end of their first day together they were buddies. Matthew sent us photo updates daily which really calmed my anxiety about having a new sitter. He paid good attention when touring the house and meeting Lobo for the first time, asking lots of good questions. We came home to a clean kitchen and the guest room already put back together after his stay too! He’s definitely our new top pick dog/house sitter from the area!

Mel is great! This is her second time staying with a Charlie and she has been super consistent! She is wonderful with communication and leaves the house exactly how we left it. She always walks him and is home with him for basically the whole time we are gone. I love not having to worry about Charlie while we are away! Thanks, Mel!
