I've lived all over the world and recently moved to Charlotte to support my son while he's in law school. I’ve cared for animals my whole life and am comfortable with all breeds and sizes. I have experience with senior pets, those needing special care or medications, and basic training. Over the years, I’ve: 🐾 Helped my blind husky thrive for 14 wonderful years 🐾 Trained a spirited chihuahua to follow hand signals 🐾 Raised a pitbull who is now a fully trained service dog 🐾 Shared my home with two cats who keep everything running on their terms! 📅 Availability: I work evenings, so I’m a great fit for pet parents with a flexible schedule. Most of my availability is in the mornings and afternoons—but I can occasionally accommodate evening visits depending on the day. Let’s chat to see if we’re a good fit! I am currently available during the day, since I work in the evenings. If you would Ike to socialize your dog I can bring my dog, who is a trained service dog, with me to assist. I will respect whatever you need for your pet in your home. I am familiar with crate training if needed. I will be glad to follow any house rules you provide.

About: I've taken care of family friends dogs since I was 17, including next door neighbors or caring for senior dogs and extending their life spans. This includes but is not limited to multiple visits throughout the day (within a 5-7 mile radius), walking, playing, managing schedules, delivering medications and assisting neighbors if necessary. I am a sports broadcaster, pet care during the daily hours fits perfectly into my routine. I can sit and prepare my notes while hanging with your furry family member, while also ensuring they have a close eye on them when present. However, that means nights and weekends are hard as they are mainly booked with work. I care for pets the way YOU want them treated. Low maintenance and to themselves? Great. Need extra love and support from bouncing back after an injury or trip to the vet? Understood. Need a mid-day walk to keep them at bay once you return from work? You got it. Just leave a sticky note with instructions and habits and I'll follow it to a T.

About: Disclaimer: At this time I ask that first-time clients DO NOT contact me if you are not 100% comfortable with my pricing. I totally understand that EVERYTHING is expensive these days and more people have a tighter budget. Sitting is my only form of income at the moment, so it is not sustainable for me to lower my prices. It is VERY important to me that I am able to provide the highest level of care possible while also being able to keep myself financially afloat. I also want to make sure that my clients are comfortable and confident in my abilities and pricing. Thank you so much for viewing my profile and keeping this detail in your consideration! - 5 years combined experience in daycare, boarding, and veterinary assistance - worked in many different roles within the field - up to managerial in dc/boarding - experience with pets with various medical, dietary, or other special needs - received pet CPR training during previous employment I recently finished my B.S. in Forensic Science and, while I am waiting on job opportunities in the field, will have a very open schedule for the foreseeable future. I am very flexible and open to working in whatever way/time fits best with your schedule and your pets' particular lifestyle and needs! I can offer day through night house-sitting, drop-ins up to every two hours, walks, or a combination, depending on what works best for you and your pet(s). With working in the daycare and boarding field for so long, I take the safety of and trust between myself, you, and your pet(s) very seriously. I have experience monitoring multi-pet households, in which different safety concerns or special needs per pet must be monitored. I also have a special love for senior pets and am more than happy to cater to their needs, whether that means slower or more frequent walks, special diets, or extra medical needs. I am able to give oral and injectable medications and have general knowledge on things such as: commonly used medications and monitoring potential concerns, such as abnormal stool, to determine if at-home care options are possible or if symptoms could indicate something that may need Veterinary Care. In the case of multi-day care or if you have specific concerns, I can provide detailed daily notes, regarding eating, medication, bathroom habits, behavior, etc., and pictures of your pet. ** Please note that I am more than happy to stay at your home full-time (24/7), but this will incur variations in my nightly rate which can be discussed at the time of the meet and greet.

Whether it's a quick check-in, a long walk, or an overnight stay, I treat every pet like family—sticking to their routine and making sure they feel safe and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my routine right now, and I love being able to dedicate focused time and attention to each animal I care for. Whether it’s drop-ins, walks, or extended stays, I’m available to support your pet’s needs consistently and reliably. “Claire was a wonderful dog-sitter for us! She is very responsible & trustworthy, and always on time to let the dog out. Our dog was well loved by Claire, and Claire always takes the extra time to play with & pet our dog, give a few extra minutes outside, or take a little bit longer of a walk for our dog to enjoy while we’re gone. She goes the extra mile! You will be glad you hired Claire to care for your pets!”

Shelbie S.Star Sitter
“Shelbie has kept our dogs on multiple occasions and has taken very good care of them. You can tell she spoils them because they get so excited to see her come back. I know she had alot of experience working with dogs and cats at multiple vet offices, which puts our minds at ease knowing she is qualified to know if there if something is not right and will handle it accordingly. She always leaves our home tidy while we’re away as well.”

Nicole L.
“Nicole is great! She has been my go to for dog sitting for the past year and always goes out of her way to make my furry baby feel comfortable when I am out of town. What is really striking about Nicole is how she treats my dog as if she were her own. My dog always perks up whenever she sees Nicole's car or we pull into Nicole's driveway. The most important thing to me when leaving my dog with someone is feeling comfortable and confident that my dog will be well taken care of and I have never been anything but satisfied and happy with the care provided. It really means a lot to have someone available who cares so much and takes the time to work with me to ensure that my dogs every need is always taken care of.”
