“Hands down the BEST! Sarah is professional, on-time and she is great with Haiti. I can say having a Cane Corso you will be nervous if the person can handle their strength. Sarah was great book her!”

“Cerys is awesome! I've booked her twice and will book her again for sure. From the second she met with us during the meet&greet, I could tell her and Diesel were bonded. She was receptive to all the information and "quirks" that Diesel has and worked with her. She didn't take the shortcut and just take Diesel to the park. She ran her as far as Diesel wanted to go. Diesel is so happy to see Cerys anytime she came by for a walk.”

“Emily was great- responsive, caring, and took her time getting to know our dog who can be difficult with new people (#chihuahuas). She was patient and Cabo really enjoyed his time with her and was happy when we got home.”

“Skylar was a great dog walker for our senior pup. She was always on-time and took great care of Daisy throughout her walk. We'll be working with her again in the future!”

“Mary is the sweetest dog walker. She took care of my girl Jewel beyond what I hoped for during their hour long walk. Would use again. she came earlier than scheduled when I suggested it might rain later and that meant everything cause my dog doesn’t like the rain.”

“great communication & really appreciated her coming to meet my dog before their walk because she tends to be shy with strangers. definitely will be using Chloe again to take care of my babies!”

About: Dogs have been the center of my life for over 16 years. My journey started with my two little terriers. A Yorkie and a Silky Terrier who quickly turned my love for animals into a lifelong passion and purpose. Over the years I became the person friends, family, and neighbors call when they find an animal in need. Whether it's helping rescue a neglected dog, connecting someone with a shelter, or stepping in to care for a pet, I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to advocate for animals who can’t speak for themselves. In August 2023 I lost my soul dog, Lola, and the grief was overwhelming. In her honor, I began volunteering at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Shelter in October 2023. Helping the dogs there reminded me how much love I still had to give. Since then I’ve fostered dogs for the shelter as well as local rescues like Peanut’s Place Small Dog Rescue and FurBabies Animal Rescue. Every foster that has passed through my home has received my full heart and dedication, and seeing them find loving homes has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. In 2024 I foster-failed with my sweet girl Lacey, who reminded me so much of Lola and became a permanent part of my family. Caring for rescue dogs has given me experience with dogs of many breeds, temperaments, and ages, from shy and scared pups to energetic personalities who just need guidance and love. Dogs aren’t just pets to me, they are family. I treat every dog in my care the same way I treat my own. I am currently working part-time, so I am home most of the day. My schedule is flexible and can make myself available for walks and feedings morning midday afternoons and evenings as needed. Providing a safe, loving, and calm environment is always my top priority. I live in a townhome with a small fenced backyard, and our neighborhood is extremely dog-friendly. Many of my neighbors have dogs, so I’m constantly out walking my dog and foster pups making sure they get exercise, enrichment, and fresh air. When caring for dogs in my home or yours, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I also understand that every dog has a unique personality and comfort level, so I always take the time to learn their needs and boundaries. Safety and trust are incredibly important to me. I pay close attention to body language, keep a clean and calm environment, and ensure dogs always feel secure and comfortable. My experience volunteering, fostering, and walking dogs has helped me become very attentive to changes in behavior, energy, and stress levels. Whether your dog needs a relaxing walk, overnight care, or just someone to keep them company while you're away, you can trust that they will receive patience, love, and attentive care. As a bonus, I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with even more pet parents in our community.
“Kristena is this patient, flexible and knowledgeable. She has the same breed of dog that I have and she’s giving me great insight on bear. When Bear returns home from the walk, he is so tired that all he can do is lay on the floor, which I appreciate very much. Since our chronic migraines and other health issues, I really appreciate all that Kristena how interacts with Bear.”

“Katie is fantastic, and I'm thrilled to have found her. My dog, Buster, is "special needs". He warmed up to her quickly, and he even let her put his rain jacket on him. I didn't think we would trust anyone but me to do that. Buster had a great time on his walk, and he looks forward to more walks with her!”

About: I've always felt comfortable around pets—whether they belong to family, friends, or neighbors. I also spent a year fostering a golden lab, helping her train weekly for future service work. It was a hands-on, rewarding experience that taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. I work a full time position and am required to be in office Tuesday-Thursday, but have flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Friday and weekends! I will be respectful of your home and ensure your pet is comfortable. I love being outdoors and going for walks if that is part of your pet’s routine, and I’ll be sure they get quality time and care!
“Shakoya and Cannoli got along as soon as she walked in the door! She’s timely and ensures both you and your pet are comfortable even before the actual walk :)”

“We were so lucky to have Casie take care of our pup Oliver! She was so patient with him and always found ways to keep him entertained - which is quite a feat when you know how stubborn he is! Casie is very professional, punctual, and communicative. We highly recommend Casie and will definitely be asking her to take care of Oliver again!”

Sterling dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mya was phenomenal! We went to the NASCAR roval and did not plan on it being as long of a day then it turned out to be. We booked Mya the night before (my husband and I travel the country full time). I was a little worried being that we usually stay in VRBO’s rather than hotels. However, mya put all those worries to rest! She sent pictures and my puppies were very happy when I came home!
