“Monica did a great job! She checked in with me daily with pictures and updates and was so kind and easy to work with. She was also very respectful of my home and I felt such peace of mind knowing she was here with my pets. Highly recommend and will be booking her again.”

“Once again, Stephanie took fantastic care of our senior pup. He can be a real grump so when we get updates on him looking so happy when Stephanie is with him, it is such a relief and a joy to know he’s so well taken care of. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Stephanie. She sends the best updates/communications and really cares. I would recommend her over and over again.”

“Andrea was great with our 13 year old girl Roxie. This was their first time together and when we got home we could tell Roxie was well taken care of. Our place was the same as we left it. We will definitely use Andrea again for our baby!”

“My cats loved Chrissona and she kept us so well informed and sent updates and pictures, she is really the only reason we relaxed on holiday, knowing our cats were in excellent hands. She left the house immaculate too!”

“Eric is polite and genuinely cares about your pet. He visited a few days before our booking to get acquainted with our dogs. They liked him right away! He stayed at our house and left it clean. Thank You!”

“Jeni was absolutely WONDERFUL! She is kind, thoughtful, communicative, organized and great with dogs. When I came home my dog could have cared less. That’s how happy she was with Jeni. I highly recommend Jeni as a dog caregiver!!”

“Orima is incredible!! She was so thorough and attentive to our doggos, making sure they were happy felt loved while we were away for a few days for a wedding! We had a terrible experience with a doggy daycare, so having a loving caring dog sitter really feels like a blessing!! We truly look forward to having Orima sit for us again!!”

“Emily cared for our dog, two cats, and our home during a long 10 day trip. All the pets were happy and our home was clean and well cared for. Would certainly book again!”
“Ariel cared for our pups inside our home for 5 days while we traveled out of the country and I can’t speak highly enough of her! She checked in and sent pictures almost daily. Our 3 dogs had the BEST time and we already have her booked again in November”

“Adam was amazing! This was my first time leaving My dog for the weekend with someone we didn’t personally know. Otto is reactive and anxious so it’s hard to find someone that can navigate caring for him especially on walks. Adam was great with otto and sent lots of updates and pictures. He was very caring and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets!”

“Nikki did such an amazing job caring for our two pups during a 4 day house sitting. As littermates, they needed someone with extra patience and experience handling their occasional reactivity. She really took the time to get to know them and understand their individual behaviors. Nikki made us feel so comfortable with regular updates, and adorable pictures. She even managed to leave the house cleaner than when she arrived! Next booking is just weeks away, twice as long, and we have no doubts that she'll be fantastic with them again!”

About: I grew up on a farm in Northeast PA & throughout my life & have cared for hundreds of different animals, everything from horses & cows to orphaned opossums & baby fox. I currently have one cat, Annie, sometimes I’ll go several days without seeing her, so she doesn’t have any effect on boarding different animals. Depending on the cat or dog, they’ll get along and play, but most times just completely ignores them. My family bred German Shepherds for several years growing up, so training puppies and dogs isn’t something I’m necessarily new too. I try to make it a fun experience, I spoil them with walks & treats, & lots of playtime, especially when my kids are here. (I promise my children will have more energy than your dog) Here's the deal, I'm not claiming to be the dog whispering Caesar Milan, but I feel I do possess the knowledge & skills to not only watch your furry friend but to actually care for them. Every animal is different & I will alter my approach and handling in different ways. If your dog loves to play with other dogs than they can play & party until the break of dawn, or if you've got yourself a bit of a lazy bones & they like to sun themselves on the deck all day, well that's fine too. I understand that I'm not only going to be caring for your pet, but a member of your family. I appreciate that some pet parents love & care for them as if they are their children. In fact, some may secretly like their pets more than their children, if that's the case that's just fine I'm not here to judge. (Either you've got some exceptionally awesome pets or some exceptionally terrible children) Jokes aside, I understand how important taking responsibility of your pet is & how important they are to you. I will not take charge of your four legged companion without all parties, including your pet, being as close to happy & content as paws-ible because let's face it, there's nothing I can do to make them as happy as they are then when they're with you. I try to be as flexible as possible because I do know that things change & I will do my best to accommodate your requests. If you would like to book a stay, & would like to do a meet & greet I recommend doing it at my house, I find it makes the most sense to have you & your pet come to the place where they will be staying. However I can make exceptions I understand being cautious about going to somebody's house or if it's a long distance we could possibly meet somewhere, We can also do a video chat & we can always text or make an old fashioned phone call. Please let me know what I can do to help alleviate any concerns or questions you may have. I’m a disabled veteran, and I work several nights a week overnight, but most of the time I’m home for most of the day. I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks and usually take two long walks a day, depending on the size of the dog. I’ve owned German Shepherds and Great Danes and a Cocker Spaniel. My girlfriend likes to bring her dog over and play with the different dogs I have under my care, and we like to take them to dog parks or dog bars and let them mingle and socialize with. When I have my kids, my son especially, loves to hug and cuddle dogs, and they tend to always sleep on the floor in front of the kids bunk beds. As I previously stated I will tailor my approach to your pet by taking cues from them and their behavior as to what they may want or need. Some animals are so easy & take separation from their owners as if they were never there. While some however do not take the initial separation well. However, I do feel possess the adequate knowledge, skills, & experience to help lessen those puppy cries. I have slept on the couch during a four night boarding because she did not like to sleep downstairs alone and would cry all night long. I will go above and beyond and do my best to provide usually 2x daily pictures or video, progress reports, and again I realize and understand that plans change. It’s not uncommon to modify a booking either shorter or longer depending on the circumstances.
“Lobo, our 12 year old 10lb rescue chihuahua mix approves! Matthew was so patient with him even though Lobo takes a bit to warm up to new people. By the end of their first day together they were buddies. Matthew sent us photo updates daily which really calmed my anxiety about having a new sitter. He paid good attention when touring the house and meeting Lobo for the first time, asking lots of good questions. We came home to a clean kitchen and the guest room already put back together after his stay too! He’s definitely our new top pick dog/house sitter from the area!”

“THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!! Andrea and her husband Matt stayed at my home with my two dogs and treated them like they were their own. Both of my dogs tend to have horrible separation anxiety but as soon as I got home I could tell they felt extremely comfortable with Andrea & Matt as they were so excited and it was obvious they were well taken care of. ❤️ This is my first time using rover and Andrea made it a such an amazing and easy experience. I will absolutely be asking Andrea to watch my dogs again, and again!!!”

“Addy was amazing! She helped me out when I was in a bind and needed someone to house and dog sit for me with short notice. She saved the day!! She took amazing care of my dogs and my home! I’ll definitely be reaching out to her in the future to help care for my dogs!”

“Holly is the BEST! She sent me so many pictures of my little guy while I was gone which made my day every time I received one. She took such good care of my cat Lando and gave frequent updates on how he was doing and she responded very quickly whenever I sent her a message! She even washed the sheets and left our apartment SPOTLESS. Holly is amazing and will provide such peace of mind while you are away. I can tell Lando had so much love while we were gone! Thank you again Holly!!”

“Haley watched our two pups and she did a fantastic job! I felt very comfortable with her staying in my home and she was very respectful and caring of my home and pups! I will absolutely be using Haley in the future! My dogs are pretty quirky and she was great with them!!”

“We were very happy with Julie's service. She stayed in very close contact providing daily updates which I appreciate. She treated my pets with kindness and with two of them being elderly they aren't the easiest to care for. The house was in perfect condition when we returned. We will happily work with Julie again in the future. The house was in perfect condition when we returned.”

“Lauren was fantastic with our two pups for a weekend stay at our house. She was a great communicator and sent updates and pics/videos often! We would definitely use her services again.”

Beverly Woods pet parents share their Rover experiences
Meredith really went above and beyond on this most recent trip for us! We went out of town just before the big snowstorm in Charlotte, and she was very consistent and timely taking care of Daisy despite the weather. We’re so grateful to have her travel across town in less than ideal conditions, especially on a steeper hill nearby. Daisy got to play in the snow, and always got her treats and meds on time. So grateful for the help!

Reagan is incredible! It was our first time having someone dog sit at our house, but she quickly put us at ease. She took great care of the pups and our home. She had excellent communication and sent fun updates and pictures. We definitely plan on booking with her again!!

Sydney was amazing! She took GREAT care of our 5 month old Goldendoodle puppy (which is a very hands on task since she’s so young!), and kept us updated throughout our trip - gave us peace of mind knowing our puppy was in the best hands while we were gone for a few days. Sydney left the house spotless and was a perfect house sitter, she will always be our go to for all our future travel plans!
