I’m currently working from home as a dog walker and pet sitter, so your pet will get 100% of my attention! If he or she likes walks alone, that would be no problem, but my dog also does fantastic on walks with other dogs daily.

Safety, trust & environment

I live alone with my dog in a two bedroom home. My dog gets along great with other dog. My complex is very dog friendly and safe, I know almost every dog here, and has a dog park for off leash fun! If your dog needs to be crated I have room for that, but is also allowed on any furniture! It’s a very safe and loving home, and we even have a visitor toy box as a lot of my neighbor’s dogs stop by my dog is a great sharer! There is a lot of areas in my complex to walk around without being near busy streets. When I sit in other people's home I extremely courteous and respectful, and treat it as if it were my own. I worked as a nanny and assistant for many years, and have a lot of experience house sitting. And if you need anything cleaned, I’m happy to help with that!

Information Lexie S. would like to know about your pet

As a mom to a one eyed dog, I know how important it can be if your dog needs special attention, medication, or anything else that they love, like, or dislike. My complex has a great dog park if they like to play with other dogs, all of whom I know very well, but it’s also available it they’re more of a solo explorer. It’s always good to know if your dog plays well with other dogs, is comfortable around new people, has any fears (thunder storms/fireworks, etc.), and when they have their meals and/or special dietary needs and restrictions. I would be able to give my full attention to your dog

A typical day

As much play time and walks as they want! I know how important physical activity and mental stimulation can be for dogs, so whether it’s going for a walk, to the park, and playing one and one with them and with their favorite toys, I will always be able to keep them active for as long as they want. And of course snuggles are always available.

Pet care experience

I’ve spent my whole life around animals, growing up in an old farm house with 5 dogs and many other animals, and currently am a mom to a one eyed pug who gets along great with other dogs and 2 cats. I’ve worked at a doggie day care and rescue center and currently do daily walks for my neighbors, friends and clients, and have experience with overnights in my home and at other’s homes. My fur babies are like my children, and I know how important our pets can be to us, and how nerve wracking it can be to leave your pet with someone new, or just being away from them in general! My goal is always to make sure both you and they feel as comfortable as possible, whether it be a walk, a drop in, or an overnight stay. Your peace of mind is always my priority. My friends often say I’m a dog whisperer, as many dogs who don’t usually like people often come right up to me. I’m very good at administering any medication your dog might be on, or any special care they need.

Lexie was an amazing cat sitter! She was incredibly responsive and sent detailed updates with lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats has IBD, and Lexie took wonderful care of her, including cleaning up any messes without hesitation. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We would absolutely book with Lexie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

I know I say this every time but Lexie is essentially a part of our family. My babies love her and trust her so much and there is no one else I trust more with them.

Lexie always takes amazing care of our dog and our home! You can see it in the photos she sends everyday, and just how excited our dog, Meryl is to see her. She’s always our first choice when we need house sitting!
