“I was quite skeptical about hiring a pet sitter coming into my house while I’m on vacation. Normally my brother would come, but he wasn’t available. I came across the Rover app and decided to see what it was all about. I filled out what I needed for my pet and had responses in a short period of time. I set up a meet and greet with William and felt like he would work out. When he came for the meeting I seen the interaction he had and decided to book him. Still a bit hesitant I had no other choice and said either I would have to trust and feel comfortable with William or cancel my trip. I dropped off the keys to him the day before and went on my trip. I received updates on his arrival/departure times and pictures of my Colbie throughout my trip. I felt relieved that I could enjoy my vacation. About: I do not currently have a pet, but I have been fortunate to have had and loved two amazing dogs in my lifetime. Each was an only pet at the time. Each lived to about the age of 16 and both were re-homes. Both dogs traveled with me and moved numerous times with me. I have worked with, and networked in animal rescue and have worked extensively with marine animals, as well. I have some knowledge of training techniques and added to the repertoire of behaviors of each of my pets. I do not drink or smoke and live in a smoke-free home. Since I am retired, I have a great deal of free time. My schedule is my own. While I don't currently have a pet, I miss the companionship of having one, so would love to companion your pet. I adore doting on all types of animals. Animals must be up to date on shots, vaccinations, etc. I'm pretty good at reading the needs of a pet. If they want to cuddle, I'm GREAT at cuddling. If they want to be left alone, I can do that. I'm a very cautious, dependable and trustworthy person. I take and follow orders well....smile. I adore animals of all kinds and love watching and/or being around them.

About: I've grown up around several pets, including cats, dogs, and even some very sensitive goldfish. I've dealt with puppies, family dogs, and even senior pets as well, monitoring them and making sure they stay out of trouble. A lot, if not all of the pets I've had (including dogs and cats alike) have been troublemakers or just really eccentric, and I've had to deal with dogs getting into flour or cats playing fetch. I'm a huge animal lover, having volunteered at local shelters, helping out my neighborhood strays, and even picking local geckos out of the neighbor's glue traps. Most if not all of my college classes are during the early day, and aside from that I have very little going on in my actual life. I'm a huge homebody and don't get out much, so my schedule is extremely flexible and also adjustable to a scenario. I have dogs at home that I care for, including a less than a year old shnoodle who drives me insane. I let them out frequently, feed them as soon as they know it's time, and give them plenty of attention. I keep a close eye on dogs and also ensure that they aren't neglected, as I don't have the heart to do so to any pet in the first place! If a pet gets into trouble, I don't hit them or anything of the sort, as even the thought of it breaks my heart. I've been caring for dogs in my own home when my grandparents and family members leave for vacations, which can be up to two weeks of a period where I am caring for the dogs in my home. I also take care of my neighbor's cat, and also made sure to give him proper care when he got in a scuffle with an opposing street cat.

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs of all breeds. I see pets as family and provide loving, reliable, and attentive care. I currently work full time but have the flexibility of working remote as needed. I currently have 2 friendly loving dogs and I spend my free time with. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly pups ( English bulldog & Frenchie). My house is pet friendly and I am able to crate if needed. Dogs are allowed on the couch and bed as well- I truly look at dogs as family.
