“I told Mary how nervous I was about her walking Hank because he is so reactive to other dogs and people she is amazing and so caring and made me feel sooo comfortable. 1000% recommend trusting her with your sweet pets!”

About: I provide calm, attentive and reliable care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages — including puppies, seniors and dogs who need a slower, more grounded presence. I currently care for five dogs of my own, all with different personalities and needs, so I’m very comfortable managing routines, walks, feeding schedules, medications and individual care. I pay close attention to a dog’s emotional state and adjust pace, structure and energy accordingly. My approach is steady and respectful. Dogs tend to settle quickly with me and many clients tell me their dogs are calmer and happier after our walks. I prioritize safety, communication and consistency and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I’m able to be flexible with scheduling. I plan my days to ensure dogs receive consistent attention, exercise, and care without rushing. I prioritize safety, clear routines, and calm handling at all times. I follow owner instructions carefully, use secure leashes, and pay close attention to each dog’s comfort, behavior, and surroundings, whether in my home or theirs.
“Highly recommend! Replies quickly & squeezed us in super last minute. So so nice and our boy loved her immediately. She took great care of Ajax while we were out for dinner”

“I was very pleased with Layla's dependability and her interest in ensuring my Sammy was getting what he needed while I was away for over a week. She was prompt with the schedule and she updated me on how Sammy behaved and what he was up to when she made her drop-in visits. So glad I scheduled her in to ours! She did way more in a 30-min drop-in visit than what our overnight help (nephew) did during the whole 10 days I was away!”

“Adrienne was an amazing dog sitter. Great communication and went above and beyond to take care of our pet who has bad separation anxiety. Highly recommend!”

“If you're looking for someone to care for your pets, I cannot recommend Shelli enough! She watched our cats while we were away, and she went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. One of our cats is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day, so leaving him is always incredibly stressful. We had originally planned to board them, but between the cost and the required vet visit beforehand, it just wasn't the right fit. Shelli completely put our minds at ease. She made sure they were fed, gave insulin exactly as needed, spent time playing with them, sent us photos and updates throughout our trip, and even cleaned up after one of our cats got sick. It was obvious she genuinely cared about them and treated them like they were her own. Being able to enjoy our time away without constantly worrying about our fur babies was priceless. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you, Shelli, for taking such amazing care of our kitties! We will absolutely be using you again and would recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable pet sitter. 🐾❤️”

“I booked last minute and they helped me out. We had planned for a sitter who wasn’t able to accommodate us. So we hired her she provided the care needed for my pets. Good service. Good spirits and would hire again. Loved all the pictures.”

About: Hello, I have been a dog sitter for over 10 years. I understand that it can be scary to your fur baby to be away from home or with someone they may not know well. I'm retired so I can spend time with them to get to know their personality. To play or cuddle or just rest. I have a fenced, shady, back yard for the nature loving pups. I keep one dog at a time. The other dog at my home is my 10 year old mini schnauzer, Finn. Beside boarding I do wellness visits to your home that can include administering medicine, mobility checks for seniors, or just companionship. As well, I offer day care if that better fits your needs. I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid which includes CPR training. All dogs must be spade/neutered. I am not equipped to care for puppies, so I don't take dogs under 1 year old. Also, I love cats, but I'm allergic to them. I'm available during weekends and holidays. I'm flexible and will work to accommodate your schedule. Most importantly, I love dogs, they're awesome. I treat them all as though they were mine. See you soon at a meet and greet! My schedule allows me to work around the dog's needs. If I need to run out, I try not to be gone more than an hour. In that case, I turn doggie cameras on to monitor everything while I'm gone. I am within eyesight of the dog during the day inside. When we go out into the yard, I don't leave them alone there. I will crate the dog if you want them crated. I try to keep their routine the way they are used to it.
About: I work full-time from home and have experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments, including senior, shy, anxious, and special needs pets. I also have animal rescue experience and am comfortable with medications, special diets, and individualized care. Pet care is already part of my daily routine, and working from home gives me flexibility to fit visits and care into my schedule easily. I’m intuitive with animals and quickly pick up on their moods, personalities, and comfort levels, while keeping their routines familiar and stress free in their home.

“Arin was a responsible and competent dog sitter for my dog . She played with Myla outside as I had instructed and sent me photos and updates during the day. I will definitely use her again when the occasion permits. I’m very pleased with the quality of care.”

They will hike and smell fresh air also. If traveling together, I like to give them a safety harness so they are secure and safe in the car. When I’m home it’s unrestricted access and with your babies. When I work I work from 9-4 in JAX. It it’s flexible and I’ll pay to have someone let your guys out if we need a mid-day walk. I'm available 24/7 this summer, except Tuesday and Thursday mornings when I play pickleball. Pickleball and animals are my joy! I provide care in your home, where your pets feel most comfortable. I’ll follow your routine and do whatever is needed to keep them happy and cared for.

“Leslie was great with my golden!!! She was able to help me out on short notice with a drop in visit and my sweet girl greeted her with kisses and Leslie made a new friend for life. I will be seeing if she is available in the future to help out with my pup. Thanks Leslie I appreciate you!!”

About: Hello! I'm Molly and I'd be honored to care for your four-legged family members! I've taken care of pets for 25+ years. Caring for dogs/cats of all sizes, breeds and behaviors is my true love and passion. I am a fun-loving, experienced professional, and will love your fur-children/family member as if they are my own. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. I have taken care of them as puppies as far as training and medical care, and have experience in grooming both cats and dogs. I work full time Monday through Thursday. However, evenings work for me, all day Friday as well as in the weekends around my kids sports! My senior dog gets taken on walks at minimum once a day. I have two cats that are indoor outdoor. Inside they have a cat tree that they love and is great for exercise.

Michelle was amazing! We’ve never used Rover, but we were out of town and didn’t wanna leave our pups too long while we were off doing fun things. We saw Michelle on Rover and she had great reviews. Even though she was working that day, she took the time to come walk the dogs when she had a break. She was amazing.

We sincerely appreciate how well you took care of Jumpy. The extra time and attention really go a long way. And we could see that in the photos you sent everyday! This was very reassuring while we were away. We like forward to hiring you again in the future. Thank you very much Renee.

Kailani loved spending time with Amelia! Amelia is a blessing to have found to care for my little frenchie girl, Kailani, while I am away working. She sends updates on potty time and many pictures during her visits with Kailani. Thank you so much, Amelia! Kailani will be looking forward to her next Amelia time and I will have peace knowing my little girl is in dependable caring hands when I’m not there.

Sydney was great with our pets and truly went above and beyond. She was very attentive with our dog. My biggest worry was that our indoor cat would slip out, but she kept him safe and secure. She also did some extras for us which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!

This is Michelle’s second time watching my dogs, and she went above and beyond. My dogs were extremely anxious this time around, and she did everything (and then some) to make sure they were comfortable and loved. I seriously don’t know what I’d do without her. Thank you again, Michelle! You’re the best!

Lucas was awesome! He came over to care for our two dogs while we were away for the weekend, and everything went great. He was reliable, communicative, and made us feel comfortable knowing our dogs were in good hands. We came home to happy pups and really appreciated the care he gave them. Highly recommend Lucas to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Ella is a real gem! We reached out with only a week’s notice to request drop-ins for our “office” (stray) cats, and she jumped right in to help. Her communication and response times were excellent from start to finish. I loved receiving the updates and photos every morning - it was a great start to my day. She followed all instructions to a tee, and the boys were clearly very well looked after. It’s clear that she truly cares about the animals she watches. I would certainly use Ella again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
