“100% RECOMMENDED!! Aura took great care of Chloe. She was happy to have space to run. Aura's cat is very friendly and wasn't bothered by Chloe's presence. I would definitely book again. Chloe has a new friend. Thank you so much.”

“Our pups had such a wonderful time and we also appreciate the communication during their stay! Will definitely rebook for our next adventure! Sarah showed special attention to our little Chief and big pup Nugget. Amazing!”

“Dani did a great job with our pups. They seemed really comfortable in her home and all the doggie toys that she provided for them. We will definitely leave them with her again!”

“Tracy is a wonderful caretaker. This was Rosie’s first time with her. Tracy really focused on my dog, and spent time with her to make sure was happy and having fun. She left me a lot of updates to reassure me throughout the day. I know my dog was well taken care of and had fun at her home.”

“Diane made sure our pup was well loved, fed, and felt right at home. She kept us updated with cute pictures and gave her lots of time outside. We had no concerns the moment we met her and would be more than happy to bring our doggie back next time we're in St. Augustine.”

“Louie had a great time staying with Amelia and her family. The daily updates were just what we needed being thousands of miles away on holiday. We would highly recommend Amelia to take good care of your beloved pet. Thank you Amelia!!”

“So we needed Christine again, and she was awesome again. We had a delay due to this government shutdown with our flight and could not get home for an extra day, she was able to keep the dogs an extra day, no issues. She also sent tons of pictures over thier stay, saw that our 1 dog had a loose molar and informed us immediately, she is very observant and very caring to our dogs. If you ever need a sitter and she is available, hands down she is your sitter. I dread using another sitter if she is not ever available.”

“Stephanie and Justin are very kind people who made us feel comfortable and assured our pup would be loved and cared for. We recieved daily updates and pictures of Junior having a great time playing with their pup. We appreciate your great care and would definitely recommend you both to other people looking to Rover!!!”

“Such a great experience with Mariana. Great communication before and during this visit! I can tell Gunner had a great time and came home exhausted! Thank you for taking such excellent care of him!”

“Angel is a fantastic sitter for my fur baby. She understands his needs and makes sure that my pet is well cared for, comfortable and happy. She really enjoys being with him, taking him for many walks and providing the best care possible so that his visit is fun and healthy. She is the best pet sitter I have ever met and would not trust anyone else with my pet.”

“Laura was great with our 1 year old Yorkie. Communication was outstanding as she responded very quickly and kept us up to date with daily activities. You can tell she cares about taking care of your dog. Thank you.”

About: I have had a family dog in my life more years than not. I have always been an animal lover. I especially love dogs and their sweet personalities. I am currently in college, so I typically have a class in the morning and am available the remainder of the day, with some exceptions. I do not typically work during the week so I will have wide availability. I love taking the dogs on walks and playing with them. My apartment has a dog park which is also fun to let them run around and play at.
“Lorrie dog sat for my baby for 3 nights. I felt good walking away knowing they were in good hands. I was right, I could tell Zoe enjoyed being there! I will definitely use her again!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Heather and her family. I’m pretty sure our lab Maggie would have rather stayed with them and their golden Avery than come back home. Haha. She was easy to communicate with, sent us pictures and updates, even let us come and get Maggie and take her to the beach. Maggie took to her family immediately. We will definitely use her again if traveling to St Augustine.”

About: Hello, I have been a dog sitter for over 10 years. I understand that it can be scary to your fur baby to be away from home or with someone they may not know well. I'm retired so I can spend time with them to get to know their personality. To play or cuddle or just rest. I have a fenced, shady, back yard for the nature loving pups. I keep one dog at a time. The other dog at my home is my 10 year old mini schnauzer, Finn. Beside boarding I do wellness visits to your home that can include administering medicine, mobility checks for seniors, or just companionship. As well, I offer day care if that better fits your needs. I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid which includes CPR training. All dogs must be spade/neutered. I am not equipped to care for puppies, so I don't take dogs under 1 year old. Also, I love cats, but I'm allergic to them. I'm available during weekends and holidays. I'm flexible and will work to accommodate your schedule. Most importantly, I love dogs, they're awesome. I treat them all as though they were mine. See you soon at a meet and greet! My schedule allows me to work around the dog's needs. If I need to run out, I try not to be gone more than an hour. In that case, I turn doggie cameras on to monitor everything while I'm gone. I am within eyesight of the dog during the day inside. When we go out into the yard, I don't leave them alone there. I will crate the dog if you want them crated. I try to keep their routine the way they are used to it.

“Rebecca and Michael were awesome. They took extremely good care of our 2 chihuahuas this past weekend. They sent several pictures over the weekend and kept us in the loop over the stay. If you are looking for a sitter this is definitely a safe and reliable caring sitters.”

“Danielle and family took such great care of Oscar. He spent his days going on walks, playing outside, snuggling/cuddling, and hanging with his new best Nyla. He can’t wait to see his friends again. Danielle was amazing with Oscar and is a great communicator sending photos/videos and updates.”

“Brad is an excellent care taker of my 17 year old Morkie. Lucky is blind and trying to live out the remianing years in the best way possible. Having someone care for him when I need to travel is essential. Brad treats lucky as if its his own. Lucky always is comfortable with his stay there, getting special care and attention. I highly recommended Brad for your pet, no matter the age or breed.”

“Michelle was amazing with my dog Chewie. She took care of him as he was her own. We got lots of pictures and videos while staying at her home. I was on vacation, but Chewie, also, seemed to be on vacation. Chewie, always, looked happy, well cared for, roamed the yard, house as he does back home, and loved being part of the family. He made many fur friends while there too. It was great to see him play with other dogs his size. Thank you for all your love and attention, we truly appreciate all you did and do to keep our furry friends loved. Eileen, Bob and Chewie🐶”

“I told Mary how nervous I was about her walking Hank because he is so reactive to other dogs and people she is amazing and so caring and made me feel sooo comfortable. 1000% recommend trusting her with your sweet pets!”

“Renee was an amazing sitter for Juice. She was very clear with how he was acting and responding during her visits. After basically one day he warmed up just fine and I knew he’d be in good hands while I was out of town. Her communication was very prompt, and I was never left guessing what he was up to. Would definitely recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“Having Michelle watch Minnie was awesome! Minnie is such a shy kitty, but warmed up to her immediately. Michelle sent detailed updates and photos — I never worried about Minnie while we were gone. We will definitely book with her again anytime we travel!”

“Layla is solid gold! She kept our kitties dialed in and feeling loved for an entire week. They are both shy and Layla brought them out of their respective shells much more quickly than I expected. I know they felt comfortable while we were away, and I will absolutely be working with Layla on my next trip!”

“I booked last minute and they helped me out. We had planned for a sitter who wasn’t able to accommodate us. So we hired her she provided the care needed for my pets. Good service. Good spirits and would hire again. Loved all the pictures.”

“Adrienne was great with my parent's 2 cats, meeting us in advanced and is close by so it is more convenient for her to check on them regularly. She took lots of pics and pets during the Holidays while everyone is busy and traveling. Thanks for caring for them!”

“We were so lucky to have Gillian as our cat sitter for Black Fury! She took wonderful care of our incredibly shy and skittish boy, and we were amazed at how well he warmed up to her gentle and caring approach. Gillian kept our home tidy, the litter boxes clean, and showed such conscientious attention to every detail. She’s truly a gem, and we’re thrilled to have her as our go-to sitter from now on. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable pet sitter!”

About: I provide calm, attentive and reliable care for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages — including puppies, seniors and dogs who need a slower, more grounded presence. I currently care for five dogs of my own, all with different personalities and needs, so I’m very comfortable managing routines, walks, feeding schedules, medications and individual care. I pay close attention to a dog’s emotional state and adjust pace, structure and energy accordingly. My approach is steady and respectful. Dogs tend to settle quickly with me and many clients tell me their dogs are calmer and happier after our walks. I prioritize safety, communication and consistency and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I’m able to be flexible with scheduling. I plan my days to ensure dogs receive consistent attention, exercise, and care without rushing. I prioritize safety, clear routines, and calm handling at all times. I follow owner instructions carefully, use secure leashes, and pay close attention to each dog’s comfort, behavior, and surroundings, whether in my home or theirs.

“Leslie is such a a great care giver to our cat, Squeakers. Timely visits, making sure to spending time, greeting her and taking care of her emotional and feeding needs! What a reassurance!! Thank you so much”

“5/5 – Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! 🌟 Molly was an absolute gem as our cat and house sitter. From the moment we met for the meet & greet, she came across as so professional, thoughtful, and genuinely caring — she instantly put our minds at ease. She asked all the right questions, took detailed notes, and made us feel completely confident leaving our home and our shy boy, Black Fury, in her hands. During the sit, she went above and beyond in every way. Black Fury (who normally hides from anyone new for days) warmed up to her beautifully — I still can’t quite believe it! We received lovely regular updates with little stories about their day, which meant the world to us while we were away. Our home was looked after with such care, everything was spotless, and it honestly felt like Molly was just another member of the household. We are so grateful to have found someone so trustworthy, kind, and capable. It was truly a pleasure having her in our home, and we would welcome her back with open arms in a heartbeat. We’re already looking forward to booking her again next time we travel! Thank you so much, Molly — you’re the best! 🐾🏡”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my whole life, starting with my own Puggle, Zoey. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while they’re with me. I cared for my 16-year-old Puggle who had diabetes, so I’m very familiar with administering medications and making sure medical needs are always a top priority. I also have a special place in my heart for dogs with anxiety and take pride in creating a calm, comforting environment where they can feel secure. I’ve also been working in the pet care industry for a while as I pursue my goal of becoming a professional dog groomer, so I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. At home, I have my own 2 year old Chihuahua, who is my little baby. I would love the opportunity to share that same love, patience, and plenty of cuddles with your fur baby. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! My schedule is very flexible at this time. Please contact me so that we can schedule a time to meet your pet care needs. I look forward to getting to know your fur baby in the future! I have a dog friendly home. We have the ability to meet your pet’s various medical needs. Our home is filled with cuddles, love, and treats!
About: I have worked at a doggy boarding and daycare facility for eight years. I have been managing for three of those eight years. I have cared for numerous breeds and dogs of all ages. I do have a soft spot for elderly dogs, but do love walking and playing with younger, energetic dogs as well. As a result of my years of experience, I am capable of giving all forms of medication, making meals (dry, canned, homemade, raw, etc), and I have worked with dogs and cats of all temperaments. I have started this little business because I have seen how much happier pets are when they are cozy at home compared to a boarding facility, especially if they are prone to anxiety when they are away from home. I, myself, own a corgi named Clancy. He is a very happy little boy. I am off from my other job from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday. I have appointments every other Thursday from 11 to 1:30, but aside from that, I'm free. Walking and drop-ins work best for my schedule as they are the most flexible jobs offered here. I will walk your dogs wherever you feel comfortable. If they have a beloved route, I will keep them on it. During drop-ins, I will adhere to any instructions you have. At my place of work, I follow food and care instructions (that always vary) daily.

“Love Amelia and her entire sweet family. She took amazing care of our little chihuahua who is very nervous about being away from home. The updates and photos left me very confident and happy that I chose Amelia. She is wonderful and I hope Sophie can stay with her in the future!”
“Mariana was such a WONDERFUL sitter for old Hilbert!! She took him for 2 walks, dried him off after getting stuck in the rain, and treated him like he belonged to her! If we are ever in St Augustine again, I will definitely use her again!”

“Tracy is an exceptional caregiver. I have a 15 year old miniature pinscher that Tracy took care of for the day recently. Throughout the day, Tracy checked in with me via text, sending pics of my chilled out dog. I knew my dog was comfortable and calm when Tracy sent a pic of her begging for snacks. When I picked up my dog later that afternoon, she was relaxed and sleepy. Tracy is a consummate professional. After I contacted her about day care, we had a meet and greet so my dog could get acquainted with her. Tracy was on time and exhibited kindness and trustworthiness from the get go. She loves dogs and it showed. I hope to use her day care service again because I know my dog will be well taken care of. Compassion, kindness, and trustworthiness are qualities that Tracy possesses in abundance. I highly recommend her.”

“Lisa was fabulous (: We could tell that Cosmo and Charlotte were immediately comfortable in Lisa’s beautiful home and with Lisa & her husband. The backyard is securely fenced with plenty of room for the dogs to play, and Lisa’s home is meticulously kept. From the photos she sent, I could see they were very happy while staying there! We haven’t left them with anyone since Cosmo joined our family and we are so happy to find Lisa. Not only is she conveniently located to us, reasonably priced, and a star sitter with Rover, but our dogs seemed to enjoy their time away. Yay! Thank you, Lisa!”

“Molly is very kind and took excellent care of our special needs dog, Bandit. She keeps a super clean environment and goes the extra mile for your pet. I highly recommend her! Thanks Molly!”

“Lovely family who went above and beyond to ensure my fur baby had fresh air and undivided attention. Excellent and prompt communication. Safe and reliable caregivers.”

I’m experienced with: • Puppies and reinforcing basic routines (potty schedules, crate familiarity, structured play) • Adult dogs with regular exercise and enrichment needs • Senior pets who require a slower pace, patience, and closer monitoring • Multi-pet households with different needs and personalities Clear communication is a big priority for me—I provide regular updates and photos so owners always feel confident their pet is in good hands. In my home: • Pets are supervised and kept in a calm, clean environment • I maintain a structured routine to reduce stress and keep pets comfortable • I avoid overcrowding to ensure each pet gets proper attention In clients’ homes: • I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, medication, and routines • I respect your home and keep everything clean and secure • I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any signs of discomfort so I can respond quickly if anything seems off.
About: My family have always been "the animal people." From raising exotic birds to helping rehabilitate animals from the park my parents worked at to, of course, dog and cat sitting, I've grown up caring for pets that were and weren't mine! Now I do pet sitting full time, and my parents and partner Nico (who also comes from a pet care family and has a high ranked Rover account!) help fill in any gaps because we don't believe in leaving any pets alone whatsoever! So long as there's not a prior reservation, I'm available almost anytime! I pet sit full time, my partner Nico does it part time, and my parents are always available to help out in a pinch if something unexpected comes up. Our home in the Shores has a very large fenced backyard, and internally we have gates that can divide the dogs into completely separate spaces so anyone who gets tired or might have social anxiety can relax on their own, with separate exits to the back. Our priority is making every dog feel like it's at home, and going through it's normal day cycle with as little change as possible. Whether you're visiting our home or asking me to come to yours, we have a 12 year old corgi-lab who loves to relax and a 2 year old golden doodle who loves to play that can make great companions for almost any social dogs looking for someone who moves at their speed! We also love to take pictures, and you'll get a photo and text update daily on whatever adventures your pup has gotten into that day :)
“Great communication before and during his stay, sent pics to see how Bear was doing throughout the day. Very clean house and beautiful and safe fenced back yard. Bear had a great time staying there and played with another friendly dog, came home tired. We highly recommend Brittany and will use her services again in the future.”

“Our family was visiting the St. Augustine area on a summer beach vacation and needed some doggy day care to enable us to do some fun activities with our grandchildren. We needed care for our 2 very energetic goldendoodles and playtime with other pups. Megan provided a safe and caring environment for them as well as other fur friends during Cooper and Murphy's stay. Megan's home had a large fenced backyard that all of the dogs could play and chase one another! Her love and caring heart was very apparent when she met our 2 boys. They had so much fun and were so excited each (3) day of their stay. Thank you very much!!! We highly recommend Megan and her dog sitting care/service 100%!!! Thanks to Rover.com as well.”

About: Growing up, I've always had animals in the house. Cats, dogs, fish, guinea pigs, bearded dragons— you name it. I've done pet setting during high school, and now that I'm going to college soon, I'd love to help take care of people's pets again! I have the most experience working with cats and dogs, as I have 4 cats and recently had an elder dog for many years. I've volunteered at the humane society for fostering, so I can take care of kittens as well if needed. I have a very open schedule since I just recently graduated. I'm available to come over and check on pets between 9am-9pm any day of the week. I have open availability for house sitting as well, but for more info please feel free to contact me! I always make sure the pets are healthy and happy whenever I see them. I can clean up any messes or accidents they may have made, and I can give medicine in their food or orally. If your pet is a little skittish at first, it's not a problem! I'll let them come to me at their own pace so they won't get scared, and I'll be sure to offer plenty of treats as well.
About: Hi, I’m Catie! I work full-time from home and love spending my free time outdoors with animals whenever I can. My family and friends joke that I “disappear” in public because I’ll stop to greet every dog I see or, if I’m out on a run, I’ll randomly pause just to say hi to cats sitting outside along the way. Being active and around pets is a big part of my lifestyle, which makes pet care a natural fit for me. I take care instructions seriously and focus on making sure each pet feels comfortable, stays on their normal routine, and is happy and well cared for. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments, including senior pets, shy or anxious animals, and those with special health needs. I’m comfortable with senior care, special diets, and helping animals who need extra patience to warm up. I also have volunteer experience with a rescue organization, along with hands-on experience administering medications and managing special diets. Keeping litter boxes clean is second nature to me, and I understand how important cleanliness and consistency are for cats. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to adjust my availability as needed. You’ll also get regular updates, photos, and clear communication. I’m basically that person who can’t resist taking pictures of photogenic pets, so expect a lot of cute photo spam too. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine since I have pets of my own and am used to keeping up with schedules, routines, and all the day-to-day care that comes with them. Since I work from home, I also have the flexibility to fit visits into my day more easily than someone with a more structured work schedule. I’m very intuitive with animals and usually pick up quickly on their moods, comfort levels, and personalities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping things as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow their usual routine as closely as I can, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, litter box care, and any other instructions. I also pay close attention to behavior and comfort to make sure they’re getting the care and attention they need while their favorite human is away.
About: I’m dependable, communicative, and detail-oriented, and I make it a priority to keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they always have peace of mind while away. I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for instead of treating them like “just another booking.” I’m also comfortable caring for pets with different energy levels and needs, including: * Puppies who need patience, consistency, potty breaks, and structure * Senior pets who may need slower walks, extra comfort, medication reminders, or gentle care * Shy or anxious pets who need time, calm energy, and reassurance * Active dogs who benefit from playtime, walks, and engagement I just moved from New Jersey to St. Augustine. I use to pet sit and walk dogs for my neighbors so looking to build my client list here! I have full time availability. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for like family. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, energy level, and any special instructions from the owner to help them feel secure while you’re away. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule as much as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and bedtime routines. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so owners feel connected and reassured.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. For the past 17 years, I had the joy of raising and loving my two poodles, who were truly part of the family. They both sadly passed away earlier this year, just two months apart, and I’m now craving the love, energy, and joy that only dogs can bring. I’ve also cared for dogs of friends and family over the years, and I always treat every pet with the same love and attention as my own. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or peaceful walks, I’m here to offer a safe, loving, and reliable experience for your pet. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pup, I can take them out as often as needed I have a large, open backyard with no fence. Although I don't currently have any pets of my own, I’ll devote all my attention, love, and time to yours.
About: I've been around animals my whole life, and love them dearly. I watch out for them like they are my own kids. I'm trustworthy and hard-working. I've lived with cats, hamsters, horses, a Golden Retriever, a Dalmatian (with pups!), and several mixed breed and smaller dogs throughout the years; and am looking forward to calling your little BFF a friend of mine too! I am a 42 year old mother of three. My eldest daughter is 22, my son is 17, and my youngest daughter is 1 and a half. I've been doing Rover on the side for several years now, and have met all kinds of pets. I'm always glad to be able to help families out while they're away by taking care of their dear furry friends. Originally from Middle Tennessee, my family and I recently moved to St Augustine, Florida, and are still trying to get established. Love the area very much, and hope to spend the rest of our lives here. I'm currently only doing drop-in visits for dogs as I had fleas brought in a couple of times that were passed onto other dogs. I'm sorry that I can't offer that service anymore, but I don't want to go through that again. I am also glad to keep (or do drop-in visits) for cats, rodents, and birds for a lower rate...also drop-ins for livestock, with the rate depending on the job. Dinosaurs are a little extra ;o) I just had a new baby and am on a leave of absence from my job with Metro Schools. I am available most any time for drop-in visits and walks. I will follow your instructions for their feeding and/or care and take the same precautions for their safety as I would take with my own pets.
About: I love animals. I understand how much work they can be but also know how much love they provide. Whether you work long hours or travel for work, let me help. I love being outside, the park and the beach. I can throw a ball or snuggle with the best. I have no problem giving baths and grooming needs. I am responsible, reliable, punctual, loving, and caring. I can walk to your house downtown.I have no problem coming to your home and caring for your pets. I have a pooch of my own. It is easier for me to come to you. I would love to be a part of your doggy routine whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or as you need it. I am here for your convenience! Currently only working part time. My schedule is flexible to meet your needs. I can do multiple drop ins in a day or stay at your house to help in whatever way your fur baby needs! My biggest concern is the welfare of your animals. I don’t want to be without food or clean water and your fur babies shouldn’t have to either.

“100% RECOMMENDED!! Aura took great care of Chloe. She was happy to have space to run. Aura's cat is very friendly and wasn't bothered by Chloe's presence. I would definitely book again. Chloe has a new friend. Thank you so much.”

“Stephanie and Justin are very kind people who made us feel comfortable and assured our pup would be loved and cared for. We recieved daily updates and pictures of Junior having a great time playing with their pup. We appreciate your great care and would definitely recommend you both to other people looking to Rover!!!”

“Natalie was great for Sadie, our Springer Spaniel. She sent photos and made sure that she was well cared for and looked good when I picked her up. We would do it again! Thank you Natalie and family!!!🐶”

“Katie absolutely sets the bar for dog sitters. Just WOW. Simon loved her from the second he met her. The entire setup was amazing, from the backyard to the overall environment she’s created for the dogs. You can immediately tell how knowledgeable she is, how much she genuinely loves dogs, and how comfortable she makes them feel. We’ve had some great sitters before (and unfortunately some not so great ones too), but Katie is truly on another level. Simon had an amazing time, and we had complete peace of mind the entire stay. Could not recommend her more highly.”

“I really want to say Thanks for taking care of my boy during the day. Max is a little anxious when my daughters are not around and most of the time he lose appetite and gets a little sad. Well I know he had a great time and felt safe and comfortable whit them when they told me he ate!!!. Thanks a lot for taking care of my boy.”

“We are repeat clients and are very grateful for the extra attention and care that Taqueria and her family gave Riley when she became unwell during our out of town trip. She is definitely a patient, caring and responsible!”

“Mary and her family are phenomenal! Our Hank was so well taken care of and I can tell he felt so comfortable in her home. We will definitely be reaching out again in the future.”
