Joelma was great, she stayed overnight to watch my Aussie, and came back to let him out that afternoon while I was away. She was very respectful of my place and sent photos of my pup. I would trust her to take care of him again.

We recently had the pleasure of having Carol watch our two pups (7 year old german Shepherd and 6 year old beagle mix) in our home for a week, and I can confidently say she is hands down the best dog sitter we've ever had! From the moment we met her, it was clear that Carol has a genuine passion for animals and a natural ability to connect with them. During her stay, she treated our pups as if they were her own, showering them with love, attention, and plenty of playtime. It was so comforting to know that they were in such capable hands. Carol provided us with numerous updates and adorable pictures throughout the week, which really put our minds at ease and allowed us to enjoy our time away without worrying about our furry family members. What impressed us most was her attention to detail in following our instructions and sticking to our pups' routines. It was evident that she truly cared about their well-being and happiness. Upon our return, we found our pups happy, healthy, and not at all stressed—it's clear they had a fantastic time with Carol! If you are looking for a reliable and affectionate dog sitter, I can’t recommend Carol enough. She has set the bar incredibly high, and I can guarantee we’ll be reaching out to her again the next time we need a sitter. Thank you, Carol, for taking such wonderful care of our fur babies!

This was the first time I’ve ever been apart from my two boys since they came into my life almost five years ago. I work from home, so they’re both very attached to us, and leaving them was something I was extremely nervous about. When I reached out to Harley, she came by to meet them — and from the moment she walked in, I knew she was special. My boys are usually shy and tend to hide when new people come over, but not with Harley. They walked right up to her, curious about the new girl in the house, and before I knew it, they were playing and showing a side of themselves I hadn’t even seen before. You know what they say — pets can sense these things. Saying Harley was amazing doesn’t begin to cover it. She was so much more. She stayed with my boys and sent me photos and updates of how they were doing. They were a bit confused at first but quickly adjusted to having her around. She kept my home spotless and went so far above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. After we got home, both cats kept going in and out of the guest room she stayed in — I’m pretty sure they were looking for her. I even caught them napping on her bed a couple of times, and they never show any interest in that room! Harley, thank you so much for your kindness, your care, and your patience — even with my crazy cat-mom list and random check-in texts. You’ve turned my anxiety about leaving them into complete peace of mind. I’m so grateful for you and can’t wait to book with you again. My boys can’t wait to see their favorite sitter! ❤️🐾

About: I've been involved with animals since the age of seven years old. I've been around everything from fish to cats to dogs to birds to farm animals to livestock. I love bonding with animals gives you such joy. I've had sitters before and I've had good experiences and bad experiences. I would hope that you would trust that if I'm watching your dog or cat in your home that they will be taken care of as well as your home. I am able to provide CPR I am quick thinking I do come with a medical background. I have reliable transportation. Currently, I work four days a week so I have plenty of time and I'm trying to use this opportunity to become full-time as an animal/pet caretaker I'm just an animal lover. What can I say? If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I will definitely let the dog out if they need to go out in the yard if they need a walk, I would include a walk make sure they get their daily meals daily vitamins, daily supplements if they get dirty and it's OK to give them a bath, I would give them a bath. I would also maintain your home. Keep it nice and tidy so that when you arrived, you didn't have all that drama of having to clean up after.

Bethany took wonderful care of our two kitties, Mandu & Pekoe for 12 overnight stays while we travelled to Europe. She was so amazing and we highly recommend her. She provided us with daily pictures and videos and truly cared for their well being. We have a shy cat in particular who bonded with her for blankets & cuddle time on the couch. Bethany is a rare gem! We will definitely be booking her again soon.

Pete did an excellent job with our fur babies while we were away! Even our bashful cat Petunia succumbed to his charms. Pete sent us photos multiple times while we were gone. It was reassuring to see our fur-kids doing well. The house was well maintained upon our return. We will be reaching out again to book with Pete.

About: Ever since I was young I have loved animals of all kinds. I have 2 medium dogs of my own and I sometimes tell my husband that the dog is my spirit animal. I have experience watching several furry friends at once, but also available for private boarding with advanced notice. If you need help from a trusted source, don’t hesitate to send me a message. I am a remote worker and available to watch your furry friends Monday- Friday, day and night. I can also be available for weekend requests too. I am compassionate and loving by nature, but I’m also very organized. You can trust that your furry friends are well taken care of and we hope they want to come back. I have a fenced in back yard with a garden and plenty of space to run around. I also like to take your furry friends on one of my daily walks through the neighborhood.

About: I’ve had multiple dogs growing up and in recent years I shared a dog with my precious partner for 3 years (in pictures). My girlfriend currently has a 1 year old dachshund/poodle mix (newest dog picture). Hoping to be able to take care of everyone’s best friend ❤️ I am in full time school so I am very flexible except for Wednesdays is in person. All other days is remote work and studying so can work around the pets schedule! I will care for them as if they were my own, and give them the care as if they were family. We could not be happier with our experience with Jessica. My wife used to work at a vets office that also did boarding, when we would have to go out of town we always knew our dog was in good hands because we knew everyone who worked there. This was the same level of comfort. Jessica assured us that our pup was in great hands, while we were gone she stayed in touch, giving us updates and including some pictures. We will absolutely be using Jessica again in the future and I couldn't recommend her enough.

We hadn't used a service before, so I was a little nervous at first. After the initial meet & greet, I was relieved. Isabel was a sweet and respectful young woman. Very attentive to the details. She stayed overnight with our 2 kittens and dog, who sadly acquired a need for medication management last minute before leaving for our trip. Isabel responded with "of course" my pleasure with each request. The daily pet picture updates helped me relax and enjoy our trip. And upon returning home, our pets & home were in excellent states. Couldn't be happier, even if family had watched them.

FAQs for House Sitting - Palm Coast

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Palm Coast on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 526 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Palm Coast. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Coast walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Coast maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Coast choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palm Coast. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
