Pet care experience

Will love your pet like my own!!!

I rescued a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier named Paco and had him for 13 years until he passed in December of 2021. This was my first dog as an adult. I did not realize how much I love dogs until I spent the best 13 years of my life with Paco. He changed my life. Taking care of dogs makes me happy. I grew up with two dogs, though mom mostly took care of them!! I occasionally volunteer at the Flagler County Humane Society. I have taken some training courses. In July of 2023, I adopted Stella, a 10 year old chihuahua/dachshund from an owner who had mobility issues. I was happy to give this senior a good life. Stella crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 23, 2025. Love dogs❤️ If you are new to Rover, apply for a discount: https://www.rover.com/sit/carolb89182 Promo code:carolb89182

Our experience with Carol was fantastic! She was so flexible and accommodating. She was fantastic with our dog, going out of her way to make our dog comfortable. She took great care of him. We will absolutely be using her again in the future.

Carol is a rare gem! Excellent communicator. Spoiled our babies with belly rubs and cuddles. She kept us up to date and eased our minds. We hate leaving our babies but could relax and enjoy our trip knowing they were WELL taken care of. Highly recommend!

Schedule

I retired in 2022 from the legal secretary profession, and I have very little commitments. I am single, have no children and live alone. I am active and like to walk. I love the responsibility of taking care of a dog. If your dog should become sick or won’t eat, I will make him/her chicken. When boarding, I wash your pet blankets, toys, and if possible, harnesses before your pet goes home.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a condominium complex with lots of walking areas. I will walk a dog for as long as they want, and, as many times as they want to go out. Most days, I walk the dogs 3 to 4 times a day, unless extreme heat. I would board two dogs at a time, unless there are special circumstances. I have dog beds; and two crates, if client prefers, and dog likes crate. I also have a gate should dog/dogs need to be separated. Dog is allowed on furniture and can sleep in my bed. I will sleep on the couch with dog if he/she prefers. I also have a camera to check on dog while I am out. I play smooth jazz while out, and I find it relaxes and calms dogs. I take plenty of videos and pictures and send to your cell phone which I will acquire. When I housesit, I spend plenty of time with your dog/dogs so the dog gets to know me well. I communicate to client often. You will be informed when I am at your home and when I am not. I attend to other tasks such as throwing out garbage, picking up mail, taking packages in, washing linens and leaving your home as clean as I found it!! Tips welcomed, not required though appreciated.

Pets

A typical day

I walk around my condominium grounds. Lots of walkways, trees, grass and smells. I would play stimulating games with them inside. I give your dog lots of love and attention. They are my priority.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
No females in heat
Carol can host up to 2 pets per night
I would like to know of any medical conditions, and if they take medications. I would like to know the personality of the dog; do they like other dogs, people. I will ask you to fill out my questionnaire at our meet and greet to learn more about your dog, such as the wording you use to communicate and other pertinent information. Your dog’s safety is my priority. Also, for boarding, if your dog cannot be dropped off by 8 AM, then I ask you bring your dog the night before. Thank you
