I got so lucky with Cynthia! She was the first person I found on Rover and she was absolutely amazing. I went out of town for a quick trip and she stayed at my home with my pups and she took great care of them. She was communicative and so kind and I’m very excited to have her watch my dogs again 😊

She provided wound care on his foot and gave daily medications. Heather truly cared for our dog as if he was her own! We will definitely use her again!

Pete did an excellent job with our fur babies while we were away! Even our bashful cat Petunia succumbed to his charms. Pete sent us photos multiple times while we were gone. It was reassuring to see our fur-kids doing well. The house was well maintained upon our return. We will be reaching out again to book with Pete.

She was quick to respond and on time every day. I would have no hesitations in recommending her to others for dog sitting needs.

About: My name is Sara. I am an animal lover and have 20 experience with animals from bunnies to goats and dogs from Chihuahua to Rottweilers! Over the last 30+ years I have been involved in animal rescue, fostering and rehoming...this has included Elderly Dogs, Pitbulls and various other animals with special needs and circumstances. I currently have a pitbull terrier mix rescued from an animal hoarder and a bulldog puppy. As these animals are still in training and have some behavioral issues I do not bring my dogs on walks or introduce them to my clients pets during boarding. If you are considering boarding, walking or any other visits for the first time feel free to message for any questions or for a meet & greet. I look forward to meeting your pets and loving them like my own! - Sara Flexible schedule. I have the pleasure of recently becoming a stay at home Mom so I can cater to your pets preferred time. Also looking for regular clients. Would your dog like a day out...walk on the beach, pup cup while you're away? I have a pet friendly car and can transport them to their favorite spot for exercise. I love to walk...long or short walks, whichever your pet prefers! I also have a chuck- it ball thrower if your dog loves to fetch if you prefer for me to play with your pet at your house in their environment instead of walks. Your pet will not interact with mine but will have my full attention! I would like to meet and discuss your pets individual needs and do a meet and greet with you around so they are comfortable. You can discuss any pet preferences at this meeting so we can customize a good, safe and healthy routine for your baby :-)

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At 67 years young, I have the patience, reliability, and genuine love that pets deserve. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make each one feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility to heart. I’m home full time, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My flexible schedule allows me to stick to your pet’s normal routine, whether that includes regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply lots of love and cuddles I have a fenced in yard with a pool. For pets that do not know how to swim, I prefer to stick to just walks rather than time in the back yard to be sure they are safe.

I have experience watching several furry friends at once, but also available for private boarding with advanced notice. If you need help from a trusted source, don’t hesitate to send me a message. I am a remote worker and available to watch your furry friends anytime Monday through Sunday. I am also available for holiday request as well! I am compassionate and loving by nature, but I’m also very organized. You can trust that your furry friends are well taken care of and we hope they want to come back. About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 🐾 I treat every fur baby like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles (if they’re into that!). I’m super patient, reliable, and great at picking up on each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also have a background in childcare, working in multiple child care settings and holding a CDA (Child Development Associate), so I’m naturally nurturing, attentive, and big on routines and safety. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic pup, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine! I only work about 3 days a week from 9–5, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to give pets the attention they deserve. I provide personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, clean space with a fenced yard for playtime, plus lots of love and attention. I also have a friendly 3-year-old Shih Tzu who loves other animals and makes a great companion. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with 7 years of pet care experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Bioscience, and experience working as an emergency veterinary technician. I’ve cared for dogs of many different ages, personalities, and needs and absolutely love getting to know each pet individually. My veterinary background has given me valuable experience recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior and making sure pets are comfortable and well cared for. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, meals, or simply some company while you’re away, I’d love to help and become your pets next best friend ! Who let the dogs out - I did :P I’m currently a student, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of opportunities to spend quality time with your pets. I have the most availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends, and I love filling my free time with walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles! I’m very willing to work around your pet’s schedule and make their routine a priority. Whether they need an energetic play session, a relaxing walk, medication on schedule, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to be there for them. As an animal lover myself, I understand how important careful and responsible pet care is. I have personally cared for elderly pets and have experience with dogs of many different breeds and sizes. I follow owner instructions closely and take extra care with medications, feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and safety. I also believe enrichment and stimulation are important, so I’ll make sure your pet receives appropriate activity and attention based on their age, personality, and needs. My goal is for every pet parent to feel confident knowing their pet is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for in my home or your own.

About: I love fur babies of all sizes, ages, and breed’s!! I can’t remember a time that there wasn’t a dog or cat in my house, if not multiple. I unfortunately lost my previous precious babies within 2 months of each other almost 3 years ago due to their ailments. I adopted them when they were about the same age and that sadly led to them becoming old and sick together. I had 2 dogs, Pancho and Lulu, that had kidney disease along with chronic arthritis. Pancho also had vestibular and Lulu also had dementia. They were on prescription diets as well as medications and supplements that needed to be given at specific times. When Pancho would relapse with vestibular, he needed to be walked with a special harness which I am very grateful for and familiar with. Lulu’s age unfortunately got the best of her so I am also used to laser and acupuncture therapy as well as simply letting them know that it’s OK to potty inside or forget what they were doing. I can’t imagine what their minds are going through. I also had two cats, Miracle and Elvyra. Miracle was diabetic which involved a strict schedule of prescription feeding and medications, including insulin. Elvyra was in heart failure, had vestibular, and was asthmatic. She was also on a strict schedule of a prescription feeding along with oral and topical medications. I had to check her breathing everyday so I have an app (given to me by my vet) and am still very familiar with noticing signs of distress. I currently have an elder cat, Maggie, that has hyperthyroidism and arthritis. She started off as a foster, but when I learned about her ailments it seemed like it was meant to be that she stayed with me. She has progressed so much since being on the correct diet and medications. While I definitely spoil her, I couldn’t be happier that she’s succeeding the way she is. I also currently have an outside cat, Kitty. His mother unfortunately after caring for him his entire 18 years of life decided to move away and not take him with her. I took it upon myself to take care of him. While he didn’t like anyone before except his mother, which is completely understandable given his history, he has grown to love and trust me. It took several months and patience, but I am so very proud of the strength that he has to trust me after the heartbreak he just went through. I have my own fur babies, however I am very fortunate to have my wife care for ours so that I am able to love and care for yours as much as possible! I am very precise and particular with my babies so I understand wanting things done “your way”. Nothing can be more stressful than leaving your loved ones with someone else. Trust me, I get it.

Jessica exceeded my expectations. I am beyond happy I found her. She was nothing but wonderful staying at my house for a week. I have a dog I took in that was abandoned and has . I also took in a stray cat that doesn’t yet get along with my other cats. A bit of a challenge that Jessica handled perfectly. I couldn’t recommend her more for your animals. She was just wonderful!

FAQs for House Sitting - Beverly Beach

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Beverly Beach on Rover is $83.25 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 543 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Beverly Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Beverly Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Beverly Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Beverly Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Beverly Beach. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
