About: I have had a pet in my home since I was born. The first dog I remember was Ginger, then PJ, then Sparkie, then Jenna and Millie, Anja and Argus, then Bonnie and Clyde, and now we have our very friendly buddy, Gustav. They ranged from a miniature Schnauzer and Jack Russels to Rottweilers and German Shepherds. My closest friend's dad bred and trained German Shepherds while I was in high school. I was surrounded by a pack most of my life and loved it. I owned a local pup friendly pub for 14 years and made it a point to great every dog that came in. I am hoping for the chance to see some of those dogs again! My current schedule is very flexible, so I can focus on the pet's care when they need it. I understand that different pets require different things at different times and I am able and willing to accommodate with a bit of forewarning. I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly 10 month old puppy who loves new company. He and I go for walks around our neighborhood daily and we do outings to the park a few times a week. I have 2 cats that are indifferent to dogs and they have their own separate space so they can be alone if they want. I deep clean the litter boxes at least twice a week and would be happy to do the same for your kitties at your home. (Access to a hose outside is very helpful for this) I have room for crates and pets are not left outside unattended. I am very vigilant about picking up poop and want to keep a clean yard for the pups to play in.

I lost my dog a little over a year ago and love the idea of giving other owners peace of mind when they need help taking care of their dogs. I am a big walker with or without a dog and never get tired of throwing a ball or playing with dog toys. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so outside of a few meetings I am extremely flexible to align to any schedule needs. For walking, I will never open a door without confirming they are on leash and for stays, I live on a quiet street and have a courtyard so they will be contained and safe at all times. I have a great walking path across the street that I use every day and it is a paved with nature all around it.

About: I have always had a pet my entire life. As a child, our family always had a cat. As an adult, I have never been without a cat or two and a dog in our family home. I retired from teaching music in 2022. I started walking dogs at two different animal shelters (one in Upper Michigan and one in Palm Harbor). About: For me, the joys of pet ownership came a little later in life. I grew up in a home with my parents and 3 older brothers.
