Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, especially over summer break while I’m home from USF. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy staying active, so dog walking, playtime, and spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy doing throughout the week. I do have a few trips planned during the summer, but I always keep my calendar updated and only accept bookings when I know I can fully dedicate my time and attention to each pet. Reliability and communication are very important to me, and I want pet owners to feel confident their dogs are in good hands.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while keeping the pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, or any special care needs. I have experience working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels from my time working at a dog daycare, so I understand the importance of patience, supervision, and reading animal behavior. I also believe communication and trust are extremely important, so I make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for while they’re away.

Before caring for a pet, I think it’s important to know their routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I like to know things such as feeding schedules, favorite activities, walking habits, commands they respond to, and whether they have any anxieties, triggers, or medical concerns. I also appreciate knowing how pets interact with other dogs, people, or new environments so I can provide the best care possible.
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I watch includes plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and care based on each dog’s personality and energy level. For more active dogs, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or spending time outside to help them stay mentally and physically engaged. For calmer or older dogs, I focus more on relaxed walks, companionship, and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I also make sure pets stick to their normal routines for feeding, potty breaks, rest, and any special instructions from the owner. Most importantly, I try to make every visit fun, positive, and stress-free so pets feel comfortable and excited to see me again.

I worked at a dog daycare as a Canine Coach and Lead for almost two years, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels in a fast-paced environment. I also have over 15 years of personal pet care experience, so being around animals has always been a big part of my life. As a USF student with an active lifestyle, I enjoy keeping dogs engaged through walks, playtime, and attention while also making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means helping energetic puppies burn off energy or giving older dogs a calmer, more relaxed experience. I understand how important trust and communication are when leaving your pet with someone, and I always treat every dog like my own.

Angie was wonderful! She was on-time every time, very polite and always smiling! She house sat for us last minute when another sitter fell through and Dottie too to her right away. Angie was always sending updates and photos from morning to night and we will def. want to work with her again!!
