Quiana is wonderful! It’s no wonder she has the Rover stats she does. She is truly a dog person and was able to connect with our dogs, even our one “problem child” within minutes. Quiana stayed at our home for 8 days while we were out of state. She checked in daily and sent funny updates. Our home was exactly as we left it. Hiring Quiana is like hiring your most responsible friend to sit! We were 1000% at ease the whole way through. We wouldn’t use anyone else!

About: Growing up I always loved caring for and spending time with many cats and dogs my family had. Today I live with my cat and my golden retriever. I work full-time from 7am-3pm Monday through Friday. Fridays are typically shorter days for me so I can give your pet extra care and attention through the weekend! I am fully comfortable caring for animals in your home. I am familiar with typical behaviors such as crating and feeding, and if your pet has other needs please just let me know and I will accommodate!

The Best! Wayne and Jordan were amazing with my two rescue huskies while I was on vacation. The dogs are generally very cautious of strangers, and they were going through some sibling rivalry and needed to be kept apart - on separate floors of the house. Wayne and Jordan’s pet-sitting experience and patience were apparent in their daily communications and photos. It was great to see how the girls warmed up quickly! Each pup got lots of attention and exercise, and they were calm and happy when I got home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The icing on the cake - the bedding was all washed and the house was clean when I got home. Highly Recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

About: I’ve taken care of pets owned by family and friends for over 10years. Specially experienced taking care of senior dogs and cats (meds, special diet) I’m the person who says hi to any dog walking on the street. I took a training course to help anxious dogs. Be sure I’ll take care of your pet as of my own and will send you many pics. Fresh water bowls, refresh litter boxes, food, plays, treats, you name it. I’m near old town Alexandria and while I navigate a career transition (ex federal contractor), I’ll be very happy to take care of your furry babies. I can do overnight stays, or walk them through the day. I love walking and I’ll be happy to take your pup for a walk, play with them, treats, and praise them. I don’t sit on my place as I have a beautiful 13yo cocker spaniel. If you could see my dog, you would know that I’m an animal lover. I have a 13yo cocker spaniel and I know how important is to have someone that takes good care of our pets. I don’t do overnight on my place or bring my dog with me when taking care of another pet. I’ll always walk your dog with a leash, pay attention they don’t eat something they shouldn’t eat on the street, give them their meds, fresh bowl of water, play, praise them for being good pets. I’ll send you photos of your pet to keep you updated.

About: My partner and I work together to provide reliable and attentive house sitting and pet care throughout the DMV area. I currently work part-time as a concierge, which has strengthened my professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for building security and residents’ privacy. My partner is studying online to become an electrician, which gives him a flexible schedule and a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving. We also have a cat of our own, so we understand the importance of routine, litter care, enrichment, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior. Caring for animals in their home requires patience and attentiveness, and we take that seriously. Together, we have experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. Working as a team allows us to provide consistent supervision, maintain routines, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. We are comfortable with: • Small to large dogs • Senior pets • Multiple-pet households • Following detailed feeding and care schedules We prioritize clear communication, cleanliness, and maintaining a calm, secure environment at all times. Our goal is to provide dependable care so you can travel with peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into our routine. I work some night concierge shifts, which gives me flexibility during the day to maintain feeding schedules, walks, and check-ins. Spending time outdoors with pets is a great balance after overnight work, and I enjoy being active with them. My partner studies in the evenings, so we are both structured and routine-oriented. Having pets in our care fits well with our schedule, as we prioritize consistency, fresh air, and daily activity. Because of our schedule flexibility, we are able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care while ensuring pets receive attentive and reliable supervision. I booked Michaela for the weekend to housesit and stay with my dog. My dog can be reactive with other dogs, so I’m always nervous to leave her with new people. She did great with Michaela! Additionally, my flight back got canceled, and Michaela stayed overnight again and then my second flight got very delayed and Michaela was very nice to extend her stay and stay with my dog a little longer. Ensure she had gone potty and been fed before I got home since I was getting home very late. Additionally, the house was very organized and clean. I will definitely be booking Michaela again!!

Alayza was great! My husband and I had to leave town quickly for a funeral and Alayza came over the same day I put in my request to Rover so we could meet each other. I have a 16 yr. old Border Collie with kidney disease and a complicated diet and a need for two good walks a day. Alayza was willing to take our request and stayed at our house for some nights. When we returned after 5 days, the house was spick and span but more importantly, we have never seen our dog in such good spirits on a return from a trip!! We are so grateful for Alayza and plan to use her again in the future.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had cats my whole life, have experience pet sitting dogs and cats, and previously worked at an animal shelter caring for animals of all ages and temperaments. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, and I treat every pet like my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work part-time in the mornings, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time throughout the day to give pets the attention, care, playtime, and companionship they need. I’m an early riser and love spending time with animals, whether that’s going on walks, playing with energetic pets, or giving shy pets the patience and comfort they need to feel safe. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and always focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I have three very playful, social cats of my own, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I also previously worked as a kennel attendant at an animal shelter, where I cared for both cats and dogs by feeding them, administering medication, bathing dogs, and working with pets of many different personalities and energy levels. I’m comfortable caring for shy, senior, high-energy, and young pets, and I always follow each owner’s routine and instructions carefully. I’m happy to send updates and photos as often as owners would like so they always feel connected and reassured while away.

Kayla obviously cares deeply about pets. She checks in with me between bookings about Farah's welfare. Farah was sick this time, and Kayla kept in close touch about her symptoms. She also helped us out with running a sample to the vet and taking care of an issue for a guest in our Airbnb. She also soothed Farah when Farah was missing us. Our nervous Farah really likes Kayla's calm, loving presence.

Overall my experience with Justina was okay. There were communication issues on arrival. I set the arrival time for the booking to 6-10pm. By 10pm I had not heard any arrival update. It took over 30 minutes to get ahold of Justina, including calling the emergency support line and prepping to leave my event to go back home. The ultimate arrival was nearly 2 hours past the set arrival time and my dog’s walk window. I do understand there was a vehicle issue and that unexpected things happen but communication is key. I would have made this a 5-star review if I had just been kept informed prior to the late arrival. Aside from the arrival issue the rest of the weekend went smoothly. Justina completed all requested walks and feeds in addition to sending pictures during the day. She also left my home spotless and well cared for.
