About: I Love Dogs!! Why Not Rov!!! I currently have a two year old whippet terrier mix and she is my world!! She is like my child lol... So your dog will be in great care by receiving constant monitoring, long walks, on time feeding times and play times with myself and my dog. My current dog roams freely around my apartment so your dog will receive lots of freedom to play and roam around as he or she fits. If you wish to have your pup separate, I have a big enough apartment where the dogs would be kept separate and receive little to no contact. There is also a dog park close to my home (Bundy Dog Park) that me and my dog go to all the time. Your dog will love it. PS. I love to send photos and videos to owners of their dog(s) in my care. Book Me Today!!!

About: Available to walk or do check ins! I am lifetime pet lover, current dog owner! My family had cats all of my life, and I used to pet sit for my neighbors growing up. I always wanted a dog of my own, so in 2015, I adopted a sweet and affectionate, hound mix named Murphy. Murphy is my partner in crime and has been such a joy in my life; I love spending time with him and taking care of him! I work during the day on weekdays but my hours are pretty flexible and I am fully remote. In terms of dog walking, I am a very active person so as long as they are able, we can go on hikes, runs, and long walks! I am fullly remote - work from home so my availability is very flexible. Weekdays - I can do mornings or after 3pm. Saturday - all day Sunday - 1-5pm I offer walking and check ins - I will treat you home with respect and happily take care of your dog while you are away.
“Joanna is a very kind hearted sitter. Drake fell in love with her the first time he meet her. Remi is a cool dude who has confidence and is very friendly. I have zero worries whne Drake is in her care.”

“Max was really nice and good with my dogs, one of my dogs is really nervous around strangers and she was comfortable around him, my dogs seemed happy and relaxed when we picked them up.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have a large, fenced-in yard for my 2-year old Black Russian Terrier male dog (the sweetest thing) to romp around, and I have a dog door that freely opens to the yard so your pet can go outside whenever they want. I also have chickens in the backyard, but they are secured in their run, so they are just eye candy for the doggies. Since I work from home, I am always at my house, and my office window looks over the yard, so there is always a watchful eye over the pets. The fence surrounding my house is always locked so there is total security, and of course if your pet wants to cool off or warm up--they have full access to the house with soft beds to lay in.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember, dogs have always been part of the family, becoming part of it, I consider that I have a good connection with pets. I am currently in a job that takes up part of my time, so I am available almost all week and for several hours a day to walk dogs. I am located in a very quiet area, with little traffic, with many green areas, gardens and very privileged for walking and spending the day with your dogs.

About: Hi! I provide premium, low volume care exclusively for Yorkies and other toy size dogs in a calm, safe, home based environment. I work from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day and provide consistent supervision, companionship, and frequent potty breaks. I also have a Yorkie of my own, so I’m very familiar with the routines, personalities, and care needs of small dogs. To ensure individualized attention and a stress free environment, I limit care to just two guest dogs at a time. • Single level home (no stairs) - ideal for small & senior dogs • Fully gated backyard for frequent, supervised potty breaks • Yorkie & toy breed dogs only • Low volume: max 2 guest dogs • Calm, clean, home style environment • No large dogs, no chaotic group boarding Because I work from home, dogs are home the majority of the day and are not left alone for extended periods. They are cared for on a predictable, comfortable routine: •. Potty breaks every 2-3 hours (or as needed) • Supervised backyard time • Structured rest periods in a crate or playpen for dogs that are comfortable with crate time. • Feeding based on your exact instructions • Calm indoor play and companionship • Daily photo and message updates Short outings for errands may occur, but dogs are always settled and safe.
“Russ and his family took excellent care of our girl! They have a lovely yard and some adorable and playful bassets - a dogs paradise! They sent lots of updates, photos, and videos of our pup throughout the day. We picked up a very happy girl! Highly recommend!”

“My pup has a great time at Shane's when I drop him off for doggie daycare! Shane sends pictures and shares updates which are much appreciated. I'm so glad that my dog gets a chance to have fun and play with other dogs while I'm at work.”

“I always get nervous leaving my 1 year old pup with someone new, but Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all my expectations. I could tell immediately that she’s a dog person, and she sent me tons of updates throughout the day. I’m so grateful for her and will be booking again next time I need daycare!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love, patience, and attention I give every animal in my care. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I take the time to provide personalized care based on their needs. I’m experienced with puppies, senior pets, and animals that may need extra patience or attention. I can assist with basic puppy routines, feeding schedules, potty breaks, and helping reinforce simple training habits. For senior pets, I provide gentle care, medication reminders if needed, and a calm environment to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I also focus on keeping owners updated with messages and photos so they always feel connected and reassured while away from their pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel cared for and comfortable. I make time throughout the day for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, bathroom breaks, and giving pets the attention they need. I’m organized and dependable, so I’m able to stay consistent with each pet’s routine and any special instructions provided by owners. I also make sure pets get plenty of love, patience, and companionship, whether that’s active playtime for energetic pets or calm, gentle care for senior animals. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, so I always make it a priority in my schedule. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medication needs, and any specific house rules. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by keeping their normal routine consistent and giving them plenty of attention, affection, and supervision while I’m there. If caring for pets in my own home (if applicable), I create a calm, clean, and pet-friendly space where they can relax, play, and feel secure. I always prioritize safety by monitoring them closely, providing fresh water, regular meals, exercise, and lots of interaction so they don’t feel lonely or anxious. In both settings, I treat every pet like my own and make sure they are well cared for, happy, and comfortable at all times. Communication with the owner is also important to me, so I provide updates to give peace of mind while they are away.
“Abigail and Cole were absolutely wonderful with our pup. They are friendly, communicative, and clearly treated our dog like their own. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup and felt at ease the entire time knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend Abigail and Cole to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters!”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
