“Mallory was wonderful house sitting for us and our pup, Ruger. We never had to worry about communication, and I swear the house was cleaner when we got home than it was before we left. Mallory was a trooper during the winter storm and throughout our heat going out on them. We would highly recommend using Mallory for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“Oli was great. She sent pics and updates daily, which we really appreciate. She stayed at our house the entire time we were gone. We have a very old dog and a neurotic dog and 4 cats. She provided love and care to our pets and home. I highly recommend.”

“Kate took care of our husky-lab boy for a week while we were on our honeymoon. She did an absolutely fantastic job, sending us pictures and updates all throughout the trip, and being very respectful of his quirks. She left the house in spotless condition, even going above and beyond to ensure the house was perfect when we got home. Will definitely be reaching out for any future trips! 🖤🐶🐾”

“Victor was a great companion to Onion - they took to each other right away. Victor was respectful of my place and left it in great condition. Victor is now on my list of pet sitters for the future.”

“Marge did a wonderful job watching our dog, Mickey. We're pretty particular with who watches him and we felt right at ease with Marge. She checked in while we were gone and we came home to a happy pooch (and house). We will use Marge again in the future for sure. Thank you Marge.”

“Erica was absolutely amazing! This was my first time using a house sitter for my two dogs, Pepper and Merlin, and she made the entire experience incredibly smooth and pleasant. From the very beginning, she was extremely responsive and professional. We had an initial meet and greet, and then she even came back a day or two before the booking just to reacquaint herself with the dogs—which really put me at ease. She followed all of my instructions to a T, she was prompt, and kept me consistently updated with messages and adorable pictures. I could tell my dogs really bonded with her. Honestly, when I got back home, I felt like they were looking around for *her* instead of me—which is probably the best sign of all! The house was left just as I had left it, and I truly appreciated the level of care and respect she showed both to my pets and my home. I've already shared her info with a few friends who also struggle with the high cost of boarding, the risks, or even the guilt of leaving senior dogs in unfamiliar places. This experience was ideal because my pups got to stay in their own environment, which really reduced their stress and anxiety. In addition, I didn't have to worry about them being around other dogs which could lead to unexpected injuries or even sickness. I highly recommend Erica and will definitely be booking with her again for any future sitting or drop-in visits needed!”

“Katie is the BEST! She watched my dog for a week in my home and was very communicative, kind, and caring for our dog. Can’t recommend her enough. Thank you!”

“Kyle was amazing as always! My cats always love having them around, even my shy one. All of the various medication administration is handled well. My place is always left clean and well kept. Kyle is also super nice and responsive and sends lots of photos!”

“Kylie was such a great sitter for us last minute before taking a day trip. She sent ample photos and made our kitten feel so comfortable while we were out. She was very kind, professional, and caring. Would absolutely recommend to anyone for their cat sitting needs!”

“First experience with the app it was awesome ❤️ Sara was very caring and great with my two dogs?. Sara was very punctual and she was always keeping me updated with the care of my dog will I was in my trip. I definitely going to get in touch with her for the future caring of my dogs. ?❤️?”

About: Hi! I’m a Richmond-based pet sitter with a special focus on cats. I take a calm, fear-free, positive-reinforcement approach to care, which means meeting animals where they are and letting trust build naturally. I’m especially experienced with caretaking for sick, chronically ill, and disabled cats. I understand firsthand how important it is to be patient, attentive, and extra caring to these precious creatures. I’m often told, “My pet doesn’t like anyone — I can’t believe they're letting you pet them.” I think animals respond to my quiet energy and respect for their boundaries. My philosophy is to never rush interaction, and I’m attentive to body language and stress signals. While cats are my specialty, I’m also comfortable with smaller dogs of varying temperaments and energy levels. My goal is always the same, to make your pet feel safe, understood, and cared for. I'm mostly self employed. I make my own schedule and can largely tailor it to your pet's needs. I tend to be a night owl so I can take care of them late into the night if needed. I can also bring my work to your home if full housesitting is preferred! I care for pets in their own environment for two reasons: I am unable to host them with my animals, and I believe they are most comfortable where they are most familiar. I follow each pet’s established routine closely. This includes feeding schedules, litter box or yard care, medications, enrichment, and any specific behavioral preferences. For cats, I prioritize calm entry, gentle engagement, and giving them the option to approach me first. I’m attentive to subtle stress signals and adjust my interaction level accordingly. I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for changes in appetite, litter habits, or behavior. For dogs, I provide structured walks, play, and positive reinforcement while maintaining consistent boundaries. I keep spaces clean, send detailed updates with photos, and aim to leave your home exactly as I found it (or better).
“Samantha was great with watching my high energy puppy on pretty short notice and coordinating with another sitter pickup while I was out of town! I appreciated that she sent me lots of updates and pictures of Penny. Definitely recommend!”

“Abbey took great care of our 9 month old Great Dane (Isla) for 3 nights while we went away. This was the first time that we left our pup overnight and I was nervous to leave her, but it was such a relief to have Abbey watching her. Abbey sent pics and updates throughout the weekend so we were not stressed about Isla and knew she was getting lots of attention, play, and snuggles. I felt like Abbey was very considerate in that she stuck with Isla’s routine and also spent a lot of time with her (which meant a lot especially considering this is the first time we left her). We came home to a happy and healthy puppy so could not have asked for more! On top of that, Abbey clearly took good care of our house when staying there because it was left in excellent shape and looked exactly as it did when we left town. We are SO appreciate of Abbey and the peace of mind she gave us knowing that our dog was being cared for so well while we were gone.”

“Dawn was absolutely wonderful! She kept us consistently updated with daily check-in photos of our pups, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I had a pretty detailed (and admittedly long!) list of instructions for our dogs, and she took the time to carefully review everything with patience and professionalism. She followed through on every detail and made sure our fur babies were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and comfortable. It’s clear that Dawn truly loves what she does. Her communication was excellent, and she was always quick to respond if we had a question. Knowing our “dog kids” were in such capable, attentive hands made it so much easier for us to relax and fully enjoy our vacation. We’re so grateful for her care and would absolutely trust her with our pups again!”

Sarah was so kind and caring with our energetic 10 month old puppy- our first long trip away from him! She put our minds at ease with regular updates, even sending videos of her playing some training ("find-it") games with him. Without being asked to do so, she did the laundry before leaving - what an amazing house guest! We cannot thank you enough, Sarah.

My doggie absolutely loved Lidiya. When she dropped him off back home I could just see the connection they made! He didn't want to leave her! I could not have felt more comfortable while away knowing he was in good hands. Lidiya sent me numerous pictures of my senior pooch snoozing snuggly in her home. She and her family are animal people, dogs, cats, horses. This was the perfect scenario. I'm so grateful. Highly recommend this responsible, gentle soul.

Julia was fantastic! Mogs and Amy were so comfortable with her. I think they are actually still looking for her ☺️ I am so glad she was available and understood the dogs story. I would highly recommend Julia and hope I can book her services again in the future.

Upon meeting Charly, I quickly felt confident that I had found a great sitter for our 2 border collies and our home who would not only take good care of them but also could handle the quirks that come with the breed and the quirks that come with a big old house. Boy, was I right. There was a huge thunderstorm while we were gone and the neighborhood lost power. When she was unable to reach me, Charly remained calm, spoke with a neighbor who finally reached me. (Poor reception where I was staying.) I talked Charly through our blackout protocol. She handled it while keeping the dogs calm in the storm. She is calm, confident and clear-headed. I hope to engage her again for our travels. Thanks Charly!!!
Sophie ("Zoe") was great. Very responsible and took great care of my dog Ghost. I would use her in a heartbeat. She kept me informed and kept my house clean and secure. She stayed for five nights and Ghost was obviously happy in the pictures she sent to me during her stay.

All I can say is WOW! Allie and Nicholas went above and beyond for my two frenchies! One being a 7 month old who is a wild child and got stung by a wasp and Allie quickly took her up to the vet after she noticed symptoms of an allergic reaction. I was incredibly thankful for her paying such close attention to my babies. I have to say I have found my pet sitter from here on out! They are so nice and very meticulous on doing everything exactly the way you want them to! If you use them as your sitter you will not regret it! My mind was completely at ease while I was away. 🥰

Jessica was a great sitter! She was responsive from the start and communicated with me throughout. She arrived exactly on time and was willing to do a meet and greet beforehand. My two pups are a lot to handle (mostly the puppy) but she didn’t seem phased and did what I asked with them. We would definitely use Jessica again. Thanks!

Jordon was fantastic—highly responsive and an excellent communicator. She kept us updated regularly with photos and notes about our puppy’s activities, which we really appreciated. It was such a relief to know our puppy was in such good hands and having a great time. The entire experience was completely stress-free. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Jordon again!
