I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens.

Kristen is extremely responsible and attentive. She gets things done correctly and follows directions impeccably. She’s a true animal lover with a heart of gold! I can’t speak more highly of her professionalism and level of care.
She is one of those people who just genuinely loves dogs. It doesn’t matter the size, breed, or personality, she connects with them and truly enjoys being around them. I’ve seen firsthand how caring and attentive she is with animals, and I would trust her completely with my own dog. She’s also incredibly responsible and dependable, which matters just as much when you’re trusting someone with a member of your family. Any dog in her care is going to get plenty of attention, affection, and probably a little spoiling too!
Kristen is a natural caregiver by nature so requesting her to take care of our fun loving and energetic dog is an easy decision. There is never any doubt Ziggy will be her priority while in her care. We feel comfortable with her in our home and we’re always pleased coming home to everything as it was including our happy dog.
We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was being cared for with so much love and attention while we were away. It was clear that Kristen truly cared about him and made sure he felt comfortable, happy, and loved. We are so grateful for the wonderful care and would absolutely trust her with our pup again. Schedule
I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.
A typical day
I can adapt to your pet's needs. Walks, fetch, playing with my Lab. I'm not too far from trails if your pet likes a leashed walk in the woods. This is a pet friendly home with lots of comfy dog beds around, and there are no restrictions regarding furniture. Cuddles welcomed.

- I like to know their routines and habits so we can keep much of their days (and nights) the same. Please share about their special toys or treats. And of course any special behaviors. I only care for one pet/pet family at a time. There is a 4 year old lab in the home. Meeting before boarding is required, and I prefer you and the dog see the home and meet the person that will care for your family member. So a short home visit will be arranged before first visits.
