Being around dogs and cats my whole life helped me learn how to read their body language, understand their routines, and respond to their individual needs, whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or extra reassurance. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s established routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of affection. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, making adjustments to ensure they feel safe and at ease while their owner is away. Cleanliness, consistency, and clear communication are important to me, and I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own.

“Hector is amazing with my Carrick and was from the very beginning. I'm disabled and found myself in need of a part-time dog walker. My dog is being trained as a service dog but was also rescued from a shelter and does not trust people easily. Hector asked what commands he knew, what was the best way to approach him, didn't flinch when my baby got anxious during their meet and greet. He won my furbaby over so completely that the next morning when Hector showed up for the first walk, Carrick quietly sniffed and accepted him and was more than happy to go on a walk with him. Hector also discovered the best way to walk Carrick on their first walk - I've never seen him come back from a walk so happy before! I cannot recommend Hector enough. He has experience, is intuitive, communicative, respectful, thoughtful, and takes great care of your fur babies. My little man gets the tippy-tappies when he hears him walking up to the door.
