Stephanie was great! We met her for a meet and greet before our scheduled walks and I could immediately tell she was caring, warm, and an animal lover. She gave me informative and thoughtful updates after the walks and took super cute photos of our dog. Stephanie will definitely be our go to dog walker from here on out!

About: I love helping friends and families with all of their animal-care needs. I have experience with livestock, dogs, cats, and more. I'm happy to board at our house. We live on 3 acres and we are totally fenced in. I am a mother to two kids and we homeschool, so we are home and available as often as needed to help. No pet will be left bored or lonely! I'm happy to drop by and walk your pet from your home. Even better, we can board here at our home where your pet can be one of the family! We have 3 acres fenced in and plenty of room to play.

About: I’m looking forward to meeting your dog or cat and I understand the bonds between, and whatever you may need just let me know. I understand routine and the importance of low stress levels for your pet are very important. I am currently working part time and I am available most weekdays and weekends! My schedule changes just let me know in advance is all I ask. I can come to your home or go to a safe place for your pet currently I cannot keep any pets in my home. I can bring toys and treats to greet the pet upon entry, if needed I also have some minor culinary skills. I am decently active so I don’t mind a lot of playtime either.

This was my first time using Rover, but I was going to some theme parks for 2 days and brought my dogs with me from out of town. I knew I couldn't leave them for hours without a potty break, and I have to admit I was anxious since this is the first time using a service like this, but Carli was awesome the entire way through! I'm super grateful to have the option for someone to come walk my dogs and I'm super grateful Carli was so communicative and my dogs were taken care of! I'm coming back to use the rest of my park tickets, and I will definitely book her again. Thank you Carli!!

About: Hello, my name is Anne, but you can call me Annie! I’m 24 years old and recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. I’ll soon be working toward my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion for helping others extends to animals, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I’ve been around dogs since I was 7 years old, when I got my first dog, and since then I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for pets in both professional and personal settings. I’ve worked at an exotic pet store and at two dog daycares, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience with basic training and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Every pet has their own unique personality, and getting to know what makes them feel happy, safe, and loved is my favorite part of pet care. Whether your pet loves to play, explore, cuddle, or simply relax with a calm companion, I’ll care for them with the same patience, kindness, and attention I’d want for my own. I am a college graduate now pursuing my masters in mental health counseling online so I have plenty of time to dedicate to giving your pets love. I live in a two story home with a fenced in back yard and a screened in porch. I currently have an almost 2 year old golden retriever that loves other dogs. While I do not provide boarding at this time, I am willing to bring my dog per clients' request if your dog needs a friend!

About: I am well versed on various training, dog sitting, boarding and walking methods for our canine family members. Gained hands on experience of training and handling with my 11 year old GSD. I personally researched for years and only then successfully trained my current 10 month old GSD, using my other 11 year old GSD as a control. I will offer free consults to clients in need of repeat services in order to determine the tailored needs for your dog. Always willing to go above and beyond for my love of dogs. Excel with all dogs and utilize communication with the client in order to fully understand the specific qualities, needs and wants of the dog in order to organize and manage effective walks/boarding/training. I have been living in the area for over 20 years and know all of the dog-friendly parks or areas that provide a clean and safe environment offering an array of enrichment. Knowledgeable in training and recognizing animal body language used to establish positive communication with the dogs. I can not only improve the lives of the dog, but also clearly communicate and empower the owner with training tips to continue effective conditioning for a well-trained dog. My remote position of over 5 years as a Sr Mortgage Underwriter was recently moved into the office (Tampa) and decided to take time off. Therefore, I am available 24/7 and mainly focusing on the transition into the Dog Walking/Boarding/Training business. *HOUSE SITTING SERVICE: Active as a less expensive alternative to booking numerous Drop-In visits with multiple dogs. About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had pets my entire life and understand how much they mean to their families. I’m comfortable caring for cats and dogs and always make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. In my local community, I also help care for feral cats by feeding them and humanely trapping them so they can be neutered. This helps keep the population under control and improves their quality of life. It’s something I care deeply about and it reflects how much I value animal welfare. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company while you’re away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m currently retired, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m available most days and times unless I’m already booked, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship. Because I have a flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins that match your pet’s normal routine. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow the routines and instructions provided by each owner so pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I take time to build trust with each pet and pay close attention to their behavior and needs. I make sure they have fresh water, proper feeding, exercise, and lots of attention. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they are part of my own family. 🐾

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 8. I had both cats and dogs. I’ve had experience with family pets as heavy as 90 pounds and cats as furry like Persian cats or Sphynx cats which might be a challenge to tend for? I am currently working part time and I can schedule my hours accordingly. That gives me more time to play and tend to your furry family members. I prioritize safety and the comfortability of clients and their pets. When given specific needs for your environment I strive to follow all the requirements to ensure not only the safety but the security of taking care of your pet. I also make sure that other safety precautions/measures are taken when I am within the clients home and when I leave.

Taylor was super! She met with Ellie and I prior to the dog walking day so we could get to know her. Ellie took to her right away. You can always tell a great dog person. She spent the necessary time on the walk and the picture of Ellie after showed me that Ellie was happy with Taylor. Please don't hesitate to reach out to her if you need a dog walker. I will be trying her other options in the future but I have no concerns that it won't be as good an experience. Thank you Taylor!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
