“Taylor kept our Tucker for the first time over the last 5 days. We were happy to receive updates with pictures a couple times a day. Taylor made Tucker feel at home with his extended nap times, his play time and long walks. We will definitely ask Taylor to sit for us in the future.”

“Maxx was very calm and seemed to enjoy staying with Norma. And Norma sent me pictures and texts assuring me that he was okay. Maxx is my baby, not just a dog to me, and I feel very comfortable leaving him with Norma again. We will become regulars with her.”

“Darren was amazing! My dog had a great stay with him and loved playing with his dog Jonas. He gave updates regularly and sent the best videos and photos. The space was perfect too with a nice and secure fenced yard. I look forward to booking with Darren again!”
“Kara was so great! Charlie really enjoyed his time, he can have some separation anxiety (especially since it was his first time to stay) but I don’t think he missed me at all. Had a ton of play time, and seemed very happy when I picked him up ?. We will be using them again!”

“Deborah and John took great care of our two pups. One requires several meds, and they embraced her without hesitation. They sent pictures and sweet notes throughout the stay, so we always knew how (and what) the girls were doing. And when we inquired about their availability for a future stay, they were booked but helped us find another sitter. We would definitely trust Deborah and John again and recommend them to others.”

“Karen was so loving and patient with our 7 month old lab! She was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. She also stayed home with our pup for most of the time and sent us pictures all throughout the stay, which was so nice! We will definitely be requesting to book with Karen again!”

“Good communication through most of the time our fur baby was woth her. Bessie was happy to be there, she even got along well with the cat (which she hadn't spent any time with before). A great sitter and would recommend.”

“Lovely family. Would definitely book again. I was nervous to leave my two fur babies with a sitter because they have only been to a sitter once before, but they helped my fur babies have a smooth, comfortable 2 night stay, while also helping me feel comfortable over the course of the stay. I received lots of pictures, videos and updates. They were also knowledgeable in properly introducing my dogs to their dog and the other dogs that stayed as well, to ensure they would all get along. So my dogs also got to make new friends during their stay. Couldn’t ask for a better experience :)”

“Kaela & Lee took great care of our little old man, Rocko. We received daily updates and pictures of Rocko doing what Rocko does. We will definitely reach out to them again for sitting Rocko and would highly recommend them. DS”

“Scott and his wife are absolutely awesome! My dog has separation anxiety and is kinda needy and they always teach me something new they have tried with her. Thank you both so much. As long as we are in OKC we will use their service”

“Lawrene was an awesome host. She too great care of our two dogs and was very patient with our older dog. She made sure to send daily updates and pictures and our girls were well accommodated. Would definitely use Lawrene again!”

About: SERVICES BEGIN APRIL 1, 2026 Empty nester, self-employed PR professional, and lifelong dog lover. I share my home in OKC's Heritage Hills with two friendly Shetland Sheepdogs who are gentle and accustomed to other dogs. Because I work from home, I am available most of the day and able to provide plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship. I only accept two guest dogs at a time so every dog receives calm, individualized care in a quiet home environment. My goal is to make your dog feel like part of the household rather than in a kennel. I had to go out of town unexpectedly recently and I had to board my dogs. When I returned, they were distraught and reaked. It was very upsetting and that is when I got the idea of helping people in my neighborhood who need help with their pets. Dogs in my care spend their time indoors with me, with regular outdoor breaks in a secure yard and plenty of affection and attention. I have a small apartment behind my home that was remodeled for my elderly mother. She has passed away and now it's the Doggy Poppins Cottage where pets can be separated from my shetlands if necessary. I understand that leaving a beloved pet can be stressful, so I am happy to provide updates and photos during your dog’s stay. I look forward to welcoming dogs who enjoy a peaceful home environment. Because I am self-employed (public relations/advocacy) and work from home, I am home most of the day and able to provide regular supervision and companionship for the dogs in my care. Guest dogs follow a calm household routine that includes morning outdoor time, time indoors with the family during the day, and additional outdoor breaks throughout the afternoon and evening. Dogs are rarely left alone for extended periods. I also have a safe dog run. I only accept two or three guest dogs at a time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention and maintain a peaceful home environment. Drop-off and pickup times are flexible by arrangement. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Dogs staying in my home are treated as part of the household and spend their time indoors with the family rather than in kennels or crates (unless a crate is part of your dog’s normal routine). I share my home with two gentle Shetland Sheepdogs who are friendly and accustomed to other dogs. Because I only accept two or three guest dogs at a time, I am able to supervise interactions closely and maintain a calm environment. Dogs have access to a secure yard for regular outdoor breaks and exercise, but they spend most of their time relaxing indoors. I take care to follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, routines, and preferences. I understand that leaving a pet can feel stressful, so I am happy to send updates and photos during your dog’s stay to give you peace of mind. I have a tiny apartment behind my home that was remodeled for my late mother. It is now the Doggy Poppins Cottage. Pets can be separated from my Shetlands if necessary.
“My dog, Echo, was very excited to go to Yukie’s house again. I have complete peace of mind knowing that Yukie takes such great care of her and sends daily updates with pictures.”

About: i’ve take care of animals of all shapes, sizes and ages for years! i grew up on a farm and helped out a lot. i am a animal lover for sure. i have dealt with both inside and outside animals. i personally love going on walks and going to the dog park with my current dog, but also enjoy laying on the couch when my girl is feeling lazy! i currently work full time for the state department of health. Pretty normal M-F 8-5. during my lunch, i go on walks with my dog and take her out every couple of hours as needed. in my home, my dog has a crate but she never uses it. i only purchased it for when i first got her from the shelter and she was not potty trained for at night. she is fed once in the morning and once at night, i can not do free feeding as she will over eat and get sick. i take her out and on walks at least 3 times a day plus going to the dog park almost every day.
“Excellent person She really love the pets, she has all ten time sending pictures, texting and updating all the time , we love her and she should be Pepper sitter for ever!”

“Best experience ever! Amy and her family treated Millie as if she was one of their own. Amy sent pictures and updates daily making us feel great knowing that Millie was being well taken care of and shown lots of love. Amy will be our first choice every time.”

“Audi was absolutely amazing! My dogs had the best time and I can tell were so loved! She was amazing at communicating and made sure to let the dogs get acclimated! We are so thankful we found her, her husband and their pack! Definitely will be rebooking!”

Anna was more than a wonderful sitter for Nova! If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would. She was great at communicating and sending updated pictures. Nova loved her so much she started crying when she walked away. If you’re thinking about booking with Anna don’t think any longer go ahead and click accept! I will definitely book again! Thank you so much Anna!

Holly & Justin were great. Sent me pics & took Grace walking. Also accommodated my last minute request, (I booked the day of!). Even was accommodating for a few hours extended time when scheduling. I ran a few mins late at both pick up & drop off (due to unforeseen parenting circumstances) and they were understanding. Grace seemed happy and well taken care of. Wud book again!

Jasmine, was an excellent fur baby sitter!! Roxy was well taken care of and loved being with Jasmine. Next time we go out of town we will definitely call Jasmine. I definitely recommend her to anyone who is in need for a sitter !! She’s excellent Thank you so much Jasmine

Brittnee was amazing! She fit us in last minute, had great communication, and took such wonderful care of our dog. Billie was clearly happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we picked her up. She paid attention to the little details and it was obvious she understood Billie’s needs. It’s always nerve racking leaving your dog with someone new for the first time, but Brittnee made us feel completely at ease. We’ll definitely be booking with her again! 💕

Niko was absolutely wonderful with our little dog who needs several meds and is blind in one eye. She was great with sending thoughtful updates to put our minds at ease, and was very accommodating on drop off and pick up as we were traveling from out of town. Our dog obviously had a great time with Niko’s family. We would book with her again, no hesitation. She’s the best!

We had a great experience with Robert! He took such good care of our dog, Winnie, and kept us updated the whole time with pictures and messages letting us know she was doing well. It made us feel so much more comfortable being away from her. Winnie was happy and well cared for when we got back, and it was clear she was in great hands. We would definitely book with Robert again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative!

Emily was great! Shadow had a great time with her. He was happy to go with her, which is always comforting when leaving my dog with someone unfamiliar. If we have something to do in Oklahoma City and need doggy daycare again, we will definitely ask Emily to take care of him!

John was amazing! Went above and beyond for our two dogs and they felt so at home. We got daily updates and pics, which made us feel so at ease for several days away. One of our dogs can be picky about his food, but John handled it with patience! We would definitely book again!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Emerson did an excellent job—they were attentive, reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They accommodated all my requests and made sure my dog was comfortable and happy the entire time. I got regular updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. It’s clear they genuinely love animals and take pride in what they do. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with them again in the future!

Loved Morgan!! Not enough kind words to say about her but we’ll start with her willingness to ensure a smooth transition for our Leia. I appreciate how she kept me in the loop of how Leia was doing which took so much stress out of leaving her. Morgan went above and beyond what I expected and I’m glad I can trust her with my girl. Leia didn’t seem like she even missed us with all the love she received from Morgan! Again, glad to have found a sitter I trust! 11/10:)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
