About: I grew up with dogs and had my own cat for 15 years, so I’m very comfortable caring for both. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention, and I’m also used to the very different personalities and routines that come with cats. I’m happy to follow whatever schedule your pet is used to and give them the kind of attention they prefer, whether that’s an energetic walk, playtime, cuddles, or just some company. As a fourth-year medical student, I have a lot more flexibility in my schedule right now, which gives me plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. I’m able to work around walks, drop-in visits, and feeding schedules, and I enjoy having an excuse to get outside and spend time with animals. My schedule can vary some from week to week, but I’m very organized and will only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. I always try to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible. I’ll follow their usual feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions closely and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure. I know some pets warm up quickly and others need more time, so I let them set the pace and make sure they feel comfortable and safe with me. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know how they’re doing while you’re away.
About: My calling has always been caring for others. During the pandemic I was a personal care aide for people with disabilities and I grew to love taking care of their pets as well. I have house sat for family friends and that included taking care of their furry family members. My current job as a behavioral health tech allows me to have multiple days off at a time and I am hoping to spend my days off doing something fulfilling. I currently work 7pm-7am Wed-Fri and every other Saturday, so I usually use Sunday as a recovery day but would be willing to make some changes if a furry friend needed it. They are part of the family and are treated as such in my care.
