About: I’ve shared my home with cats and dogs for most of my life and have experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from kittens and puppies to beloved seniors. My pets over the years have included a Chihuahua with a seizure disorder, dogs ranging from small breeds to a Mastiff/Akita mix, numerous kittens who grew into lifelong companions, and currently two geriatric cats—one of whom is blind and doing her very best! I’m especially comfortable with senior pets and animals who may need a little extra patience, attention, or reassurance. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I’m happy to meet them where they are rather than expecting them to immediately warm up to someone new. My care for animals extends beyond my own pets, too. Along with several of my neighbors, I help look after our neighborhood’s community cats and the occasional visiting wildlife—including opossums, raccoons, and, most recently, a skunk! I can be flexible and will work with your needs to make sure you pet(s) is cared for while you are away. My priority is keeping your pets safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you are away. Drop-in visits and walks are 30 minutes, with additional time available if needed. During drop-ins, I’ll follow your pet’s established feeding and care routine, refresh their water, provide potty breaks, scoop or change litter boxes, and administer medications as needed. Of course, they’ll also receive plenty of playtime, love, and attention, along with basic brushing if requested. I understand that every pet and household is different, so I’ll carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding your pet’s routine, behavior, home environment, and safety needs. I’m also happy to accommodate pets who need a little extra patience or time to become comfortable with someone new. Communication is key to making sure you feel just as comfortable as your pet does! You can expect a check-in and photo updates with each visit so you know your fur baby is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life! There has never been a time in my house where we didn’t own any pets! I have worked for many friends and family! My schedule is flexible. I am in college and I have a job, but I’m willing to work around your schedule to meet your needs! About: I have grown up with many animals ranging from dogs to lizards. We once had a litter of puppies in our house when our dog had her babies! I have also been there to care for our dog and old cat during their last days and have learned how to give them their medicine on time and in the correct way. Renata is the best cat sitter we have had! Upon meeting her, you immediately recognize that Ren is a very kind and sensitive person, and we believe these traits were perceived by our cats. One is incredibly shy and afraid of everything, but Renata was able to send photos of her interactions with Mollie on the first day which is quite an accomplishment. Ren was very thorough in our first meeting on learning as much as she could about their behaviors. We appreciated the daily updates and photos she posted. She also alerted us to a possible health issue when she noticed that one of the kitties was sneezing a little bit on her visit. We said that it happened from time to time and we weren’t concerned but it was very reassuring that she was observing them so closely. We highly recommend Renata and will certainly use her again.
