“Nichelle is great!! She watched our Tilly almost daily for 3 months and was nothing short of exceptional! She is a great communicator and so so so nice. Our girl loved her and was always elated to see her. Would highly recommend her.”

“Tracy is AMAZING!! The BEST!! She saved my cats life, literally! My cat got outside (not Tracy’s fault) and went above and beyond to get my baby back inside!! She didn’t give up until my cat Apple was safe! I picked the right person to watch my kitty’s and I cannot recommend her enough!! She loves your babies as much as you love your babies!! I will use her every time I’m away from home ❤️”

About: Growing up on land in Oklahoma, I've had experience with at least 30 dogs.... raising and caring for canines of all ages, breeds, and sizes; from a Chunky Chow-Chow, to a chattery Chihuahua... I understand dogs (and cats) very well. Whether it's 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years... Let's keep our pets happy while the'yre here! Over the summer my availability is generally pretty open. You can reach out the same day, but of course earlier is better. If you are in a situation where you need your pet walked, or cared for while you are away and it came about at the last minute, I can probably help you out. I learn the dog or cat I'm working with. Each pet is different even within the same breed. For dogs the day looks like a walk, some play, rubs, and their food and water if needed. For cats the day looks like butt scratches (when allowed), something stimulating, food, water, and peace 😽
“Christen was great! She checked in on my cat Christopher several times while I was out of town. Each time, she made sure his litter, food, and water were in good order, took several pictures, and provided a nice write up. Chris is normally fairly shy, but he seemed to warm up to her pretty quickly. Christen was also great at communicating—she always gave me a heads when needed. I'd definitely recommend her!”

“This was the first time Taylor took care of our two girls who are very precious to us. From the first meeting we knew she would be wonderful and she is. Taylor is very responsive, took time to interact with Emily and Gracie (who is not the friendliest) and sent us lots of pics. We will definitely call on Taylor again!”

“First time using Rover and experience was absolutely amazing. She communicated well and could tell she really cared for my pups well being and happiness. 10/10 will use again.”

“Ellen is absolutely amazing with our the boys. They happily took to her quickly. She provided updates and photos each visit. I will be contacting her to watch my boys anytime we travel. My dogs are like my children and it’s trusting others to care for them like I do can be difficult, and Ellen has proven to be kind and reliable. I’d definitely recommend Ellen!”

“Tara did a great job watching my Belgian Malinois (Hayduke) while I was out of town. Tara provided pictures from every visit and was very good at communicating and providing updates. I could tell by her questions and the way she interacted with Hayduke that she really cares about animals and treated him as one of her own. Malinois can be a tricky breed to handle, but Tara had no problems at all. I highly recommend Tara to anyone that needs a pet sitter; your pet will be in good hands!”

“Amanda took great care of my 7 year old tortie cat Skyler! She was very responsive , followed the care instructions perfectly, sent pictures, was punctual, and spent extra time giving my cat lots of love! I will definitely be reaching out again to Amanda for pet sitting and would highly recommend her.”

About: A deep love and understanding of animals runs in my veins — my father is a veritable animal whisperer who passed on his love of fur babies to me. I grew up with multiple dogs in our house and personally believe pets thrive on attention, love, nurturing, and a stable schedule. The love, patience, kindness, gentleness, respect, and playfulness that comes so naturally when caring for a beloved pet is something I believe all animals deserve — and something I’m excited to shower on your fur babies! I appreciate a detailed list of eating/potty schedules, favorite toys/treats, appropriate cadence and frequency of walks, daily playtime, preferred vet, food specifics, medicine specifics, ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF TO MAKE THIS A FUN & RELAXING EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR PET. I work from home and I make my own schedule so I have all the flexibility needed for an awesome experience for your fur baby! I have a fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and play, as well as a covered patio for them to cool off. We spend most of our time outside, but if it’s raining or they just want to come in, we’ll hang out in the living room where I love playing interactive games — if the pup is up for it!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Smith Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
