“Misti is the BEST sitter I we’ve ever had. Our pets love her! We were gone for two weeks and she took great care of them. Attentive to their needs, took them on long walks, and even updated us on some eating habit changes. Our little void wasn’t eating as much as he usually does, she immediately let us know and we figured it out together. She is a GEM!!!”

“Kamilla was absolutely amazing with my old boy, Romeo! 🥰 She was so attentive and spent a lot of time with him, which really helped put my mind at ease while I was away. He was genuinely cared for and in great hands. I will definitely be hiring her again! ❤️🐾”

“Virginia was very reliable and always sent photos and a detailed summary of her visits, so we always knew our dog was being well cared for while we were on vacation. We would definitely use her again!”

“Tyler has been great with Castiel! He keeps me updated during every visit, which gives me a lot of peace of mind, and he’s been incredibly flexible whenever plans or timing have shifted. The whole experience has honestly been so easy and completely pain-free. I really appreciate knowing Castiel is in good hands, and I would absolutely recommend Tyler for both walks and drop-in visits.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I got my first dog (not including family dogs) when I was 18. I currently have a house full of dogs and volunteer at the local shelter in my free time. I have fostered dogs, taken dogs on dog days out and walk dogs at the shelter. I find myself happiest when I am around fur babies! Because of this love for dogs, I have been exposed to all types of dogs. I use Rover myself for our pups and know it is a great community focused on taking care of our four legged friends My dogs at home are a huge part of my everyday schedule. I am lucky to have a flexible schedule and able to incorporate them into my everyday routine I am trustworthy and reliable. I will make sure to get all details to ensure I am taking great care of your furbabies as I would my own
“Billy Jo, thank you so much!! You went the extra mile, literally..to come meet us before your visits. So grateful for the reliable help and excellent care of our little buddy! Thanks for the pictures and updates during your visits!”

“Joey made leaving town without my fur babies worry free! Both of my dogs are in their senior years and he took excellent care of them and met them at their activity level! His love and passion for dogs is obvious and I will definitely be booking with him in the future!!!”

About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to gerbils, hamsters and fish. Even as a young child I was primarily responsible for most of the routine daily pet care. I'm a trained CNA with applicable caregiving skills. I also have extensive experience as a shelter volunteer having walked the dog and played with them as well as socializing the cats. I'm currently self employed as a home care aide and wish to take care of animals in between assignments or during days off. I do not have any responsibilities that would interfere with me taking care of your fur babies. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a yard stake. I live in a townhouse with an open grass backyard. I regularly take my dog to The Liberty, MO Stockdale dog park and can take yours there too if that's your preference. If you wish I can walk your dog as many times per day as you prefer. My neighborhood has paved sidewalks and walking paths that I routinely use to walk my dog daily. I have one cat and one dog and each get along with other cats and dogs very well but should there be any unforeseen issue, I can put your pet in my spare bedroom. I also own a wire dog crate for large dogs. I can crate your pet in your home or my home if you wish me to. I will take care of him or her in whichever way you prefer. I do not crate my dog but I did as a puppy to facilitate his potty training. My dog sleeps with me at night as does my cat sometimes. Both are friendly and well socialized but again, I can put either in a spare room or your pet if necessary. Both my pets are up to date on their vaccinations and they get a monthly pill for flea and tick prevention. I can do everything from long or short walks, taking them outside for potty breaks, administering food or medicine, playtime, etc.
About: I currently own 2 cats (age 1 and 3) who are my two little babies! I’ve lived with/taken care of cats my whole life and also have experience with drop ins/walks for dogs! It’s important for me to make sure your own little babies are still given important care when you are away! As an owner of cats who need their own care from time to time, I understand the important of keeping their owner’s mind at peace while they are away. I treat other people’s pets as if they were my own! I want them to be treated with the same care I would want my own to be treated.
“Kaitlyn did a few drop in visits with our Golden boys while we were gone overnight. Everything went great! Kaitlyn was very prompt and communication was excellent. She sent a few pics from each visit and kept us updated on how they were doing. We will definitely recommend Kaitlyn as a pet sitter!”

About: I have grown up having various pets, but mostly dogs my entire life. I have a love for all types of dogs and pets in general. I have a dog that I have raised since he was a puppy. I have trained him to do multiple tricks and to obley not only me, but anyone who tells him a command. I have dog sat for many friends and family members when they have been away. I do mot have a lot or Rover experice, but the dogs that i have met through here have made a lasting impression on me and I cannot wait to meet more! I currently have a home with three small dogs that get along great with others. Myvprefrace would be going on walks with dogs after work .
About: I have worked with animals in a veterinary setting, shelter and foster homes, and my friends and family's pets. I enjoy helping both dogs and cats live life to their fullest! My goal is to be a full-time dog sitter, as I am not currently employed anywhere else. I don't have any pets (my soul dog passed away a few years ago), so I love being able to help others care for their furry family members. I am open to overnight stays with pets as needed, otherwise I'm available to visit with pets at least 3 times daily. Specific scheduling can be discussed during a meet and greet session. I am comfortable walking all types of dogs, ranging from Chihuahua to Great Dane. I am happy to follow all instructions for care, including basic bathing, grooming, and administering medications. I am a former veterinary assistant and dog foster home coordinator and have worked with overly energetic and reactive dogs.

About: Growing up I always had some sort of pet whether that be my bearded dragon, leopard gecko, cats, dogs, birds, all of it. I recently lost my disabled kitty but he taught me lots about medication administration, accessibility, and so many more things that are needed when working with a disabled or any kind of medical condition in pets. I now have a kitten and thankfully my childhood dog is still alive which I’m very grateful for. I’d love to spend time with your babies too! I live in Columbia because my boyfriend goes to Mizzou, but I currently am not working anywhere, so I can help you out anytime, anywhere:) I am very careful when it comes to pet safety. Like mentioned earlier my baby, Theo, is disabled as well as special needs. He takes medication and has to have certain accommodations around the apartment just for him. Making sure he is safe is a big priority as well as a big priority for your pet too!
About: Dogs have been a part of my family since I was a little girl, and caring for them has always been something close to my heart. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed helping neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members with dog sitting and dog walking. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I would make it a priority in my daily and weekly routine. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their regular schedules for feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I would plan my schedule around each pet’s individual needs to ensure they receive dependable, compassionate care and feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I always make sure pets are comfortable and safe in my home and also in their home. I make to follow their regular routines for walking, feeding, playing and any other instructions their families provide. I know it’s hard for pets to be away from their families so it is my priority to give them the attention and love they need. Every pet gets treated like family so I want families to know their pet is in the hands of someone who is friendly, caring and dependable.
About: I have been pet sitting/grooming for at least 10 years and 5 years professionally. I offer 2-5 mile hikes for dogs with lots of energy who like to pull. My dog Storm will usually join me for any walks unless otherwise requested. I am currently working part-time as a pet groomer so I am availible all day at least three days a week and have a flexible schedule. I also go for 2 mile hikes with my dog Storm most mornings. I focus primarily on the comfort level of the pets in question. I observe their body language and try pay attention to what they are telling me. This allows me to work with animals that may otherwise be aggressive or frightened.

About: While I’ve grown up with dogs and my family members continue to be dog owners, living in an apartment doesn’t allow me the space to be a dog owner myself so I am very thankful for Rover!!

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, both my own and those of friends, family, and neighbors! Over the years, I’ve helped with everything from daily walks, feeding, and playtime to overnight stays and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away. I love staying active and am always happy to take dogs on long walks or spend time playing outside. I’m just as happy spending time with cats, whether that means interactive playtime, cuddles, or letting them relax at their own pace. I’m responsible, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual personality and needs. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same love, care, and attention I’d give my own! I recently moved to Kansas City and work full-time in professional sports! While my weekdays are generally spent at work, I have availability in the evenings and on weekends for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. My schedule can vary depending on games and events, but I’m happy to coordinate with pet owners to find a routine that works for everyone. I love spending my free time with animals and making sure they get plenty of love, attention, and care! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities! I follow your instructions closely, maintain a clean and safe environment, and do everything I can to make your pet feel comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, extra cuddles, or simply relaxing, I’ll make sure they feel loved and cared for. I treat every pet and home with the same respect and attention I’d want for my own!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakview
Straight forward, no issues. She didn't need a whole lot of instruction, she seemed to know the general gist of how my good boy (Siberian husky) would typically respond to a new person, so she was patient and kind with him as well as with my timid cat. Hope she will be available next time. Highly recommend.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Lori is the best! We were out of country and our sitter fell through and Lori jumped in to help at an hour’s notice so that our pup could have care and a familiar, friendly face for the rest of our trip. If you need someone that you can trust implicitly in your home, look no further. I promise your fur baby will thank you for it too! I can’t say enough great things about Lori.

It took Sebastian barely a moment to get comfortable with Samantha! From the meet and greet, immediately demonstrated confidence and competence in knowing how to approach and interact with him, and watching him warm up to her more and more with each visit reaffirmed that I made the right choice as a first-timer to Rover! I will be requesting her services again without a doubt.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
