About: Hi, I'm Maria! I adore dogs and cats! I've been walking and sitting dogs for over 13 years and a professional pet photographer for 8 years. I grew up with lots of cats and dogs, and I volunteered at an animal hospital while in college. Today, I have a friendly female creme Shiba Inu, Lula. I offer 1/2-hour or full-hour dog walks and pets sitting in the Whitestone and Beechhurst areas of Queens. I will take your puppy to the park for a stroll, a dog park or just around your area - whatever you prefer. Dogs in my trust for walks are NEVER left alone or unsupervised. I always "clean up" after dogs in my care and keep them on the leash unless, with your permission, we go to a secure fenced dog park. Whatever your instructions I will make sure they are followed exactly as you request. I'm a punctual, responsible, and respectful person who loves dogs. I will take good care of your puppy as if they were my own. I will make sure they feel comfortable and receive plenty of attention and affection during their stay with me! As a lifelong owner of dogs and cats, providing a consistent schedule of daily care, feeding, walks, and affection comes naturally to me and my schedule. I provide care, feeding, clean up and affection as instructed. I'm also happy to follow any other instructions that may be specific to each pet.

About: As a vegan, I care deeply for all animals. I’ve grown up around cats and dogs, have volunteered at sanctuaries, and have a sweet cat named Corny. I have many friends with dogs of all sizes and love them all as my own! I’m currently looking for part time/night time/weekend shifts, but am very open to discuss weekday availability. I nanny my niece 3 days during the week, but am free early morning and evenings/nights any day of the week. I give a lot of attention to pets when I visit their home. I recognize it’s their safe space, allowing them plenty of time to get used to my scent and presence, play with toys, and give lots of treats (if and when allowed). I’m also very comfortable with elder or more independent pets who may not be as cuddly or active.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of various friends and neighbors over the last few years. I have always wanted a pet of my own and treat every pet like they are. I am a hard and detail oriented worker. I will clearly communicate with you how your pet is doing as well as sending pictures and videos. I am currently a teacher on summer break so I have nothing but time to come and play with your pups! Nothing would be more fun for me than to get to take your dog for a walk and have some quality playtime with them while we enjoy the summer sun! I have experienced both dog and cat sitting while clients and friends of mine have gone on vacation. I have taken dogs for walks, cleaned out litter boxes, fed them, and enjoyed some playtime. Unfortunately, my apartment does not allow pets so I cannot have one of my own, but I would be more than happy to care for your pet in your home.

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!

I do tend to spoil my own dog here and there, but I also try to love him as unconditionally as he does to me. A golden rule I try to follow is treat others the way you want to be treated. Another golden rule I try to follow is to see myself in others. I also apply these two golden rules to my encounters with pets and nature in general.
