“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of my two Yorkshire terriers. I love the ability to let them stay in their own house and play in their own yard without being crated. Amy made that possible and I will definitely book her services again.”

“Hannah was just wonderful! She communicated well, took excellent care of my pups and left me house exactly as expected. I would recommend her and will definitely be using her again!”

About: I have cared for both small dogs and medium sized dogs. Have implemented special diets (Farmer's Dog) given medications through food or a treat. Assisted in foster care. Can follow leash and harness preferences and always have poop bags on the ready. I have slept beside puppies who are needy throughout the night. I am a full time K-12 art teacher so I would be available for any pet care services mostly on the weekends and few selected nights throughout the week. I would stay in the areas of the home that the pet is residing and or whichever areas that the client feels comfortable with. Example being the living room or dining room.
“We absolutely give Stefanie 5 stars without hesitation. She is a great communicator, she handled our high energy dog beautifully and she left the house immaculate. We highly recommend her and will engage her again if needed.”

About: Hey all! Wonderful to meet you. My name is Nicole and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in North Wales, PA and have been providing pet care to my community since I have been able to walk around the block by myself! I have always had family dogs of my own. A Shetland Sheepdog named Shelby, and we still have our Nala bear with us who is a rescue mix, and we have had her since I was a junior in high school. I've branched out over the years. I used to volunteer at special equestrians, taking care of the horses and their stalls. My first job out of high school was at a pet store. I provided care to all the animals even down to the mice. I administered medications orally, cleaned their living spaces, and fed them. I own a fish tank, and I used to own a bearded dragon. I have provided cat care as well. I have a lot of experience in and outside of Rover. When I lived in Philly about 7 years ago I signed up for Rover and had watched quite a few dogs through the app as well as watching dogs just through recommendations. I moved out and ended up deactivating my account. I decided to come back on here, and I am looking forward to meeting you! I currently work 5 hours 5 days a week from 12:30-5:30. We can discuss more details on care if you are interested I would love to have a meet and greet before service starts so we can go over exactly how you’d like me to care for your pet.

“Bev was super attentive to our pups!! She was also very communicative, sending us updates and photos daily of what the dogs were up to and responding quickly when we had questions. She really took great care of our dogs and we will be using her anytime we need a dog sitter. She's part of the family now! She's the best!!”
“Brooke took wonderful care of our two dogs. From start to finish, Brooke was so professional and communicative. We received regular updates (with pictures), which was so appreciated while we were away. It’s clear they were very loved which makes us very happy!”

“Olivia was fantastic! She was flexible with our schedule, always timely, and took amazing care of our puppies. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing we had someone we could truly trust while we were away. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter.”
About: I’m taking care of dogs my entire life had five dogs at this time. I’ve had Chihuahuas, pit-bulls, dachshunds, terriers, and chi-weenies as well. I know the proper ways to take care of our four legged companion taking care of them my entire life. I currently attend college Monday through Thursday from 10 to 6 and Wednesday 10 to 7. I currently hold a part-time job at a school library and have time to take care of my own four legged companions. I live near two dog park in a walkable area where I can exercise your four legged companions when needed. I also have plenty of dog toys to play with as well. It’s staying at a clients I would bring a supply of doggy bag and a select few toys as well.
“It was such a lovely experience—everything went so smoothly. This was my first time having a dog sitter come to the house, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Levi was so excited to see Dustin, which said everything. You can tell he genuinely loves dogs. Overall, a fantastic experience!”

About: I have walked dogs since I was a kid and absolutely love all animals! I have two children, 3 and 7, who desperately want a dog in the future. I am hoping to do this part time for them to have a sense of what having ann animal feels like and get them acclimated with the responsibility of having a dog. I work as a therapist but have a very flexible schedule. I work in office once per week and work from home the rest of the days. My office is also pet friendly depending on your dog. I love long hikes and being outside and would love a furry companion to take care of. I have a lot of space and I love long walks. I will take care of your animals in the way you want, whether it’s playing fetch or cuddles.
“Mariela is wonderful!! She is always so sweet with our pets and takes really great care of them. They are always happy and healthy when we return home and we can tell she has done a wonderful job caring for them! Our senior dog has separation anxiety so finding someone who we feel comfortable leaving him with is such a relief for us. We highly recommend Mariela!”

“My husband and I have had Mikaela watch our 1 year old Golden Retriever in our house for two separate weekend trips. She’s took great care of our pup and gave plenty of updates. She also left the house spotless both times. I would highly recommend her!!”

“We are so grateful to have found Mallory to help with our pup! I can’t recommend her enough! She was so wonderful and attentive with our dog and kept us updated the whole time we were away with photos, videos, and messages. We will definitely be booking her again 😊🐶 thank you so much!”

About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats before. Pets are man’s best friend and I believe they deserve getting excellent care. Dogs and cats of all breeds, shapes and sizes will get above and beyond good quality care. I do have a full time job, my hours are Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM, and I have church obligations on Sunday mornings, but I am happy to coordinate availability outside of those times. I work a consistent weekday schedule from 7:00am–3:30pm, which allows me to provide reliable evening care, walks, and overnight house sitting. I am also available most weekends and can accommodate advance scheduling. I focus on building trust with both pets and owners by maintaining clear communication, consistent routines, and attentive supervision. I respect each pet’s personality and adjust care to their individual needs.

Amy is very diligent and caring for our fur babies. We received lots of picture updates and was able to sort out any questions on the fly the first day of the schedule. The dogs were all relaxed and happy when we arrived home. Look forward to working with Amy again in the future.

Daisy is such a lovely person and was so kind to my dogs. Both took to her right away. She followed feeding and medication schedule with no issues. She also sent us photos and checked in every day. My dogs love her and we are so appreciative of her taking care of them with great care. I will be using Daisy in the future and highly recommend her. Maria B

Kim is great! She stayed at our house and watched our dog, Finn, for four days while we were out of town. Kim sent us photos and updates the whole time, which made us feel really at ease. She was very responsive and took wonderful care of Finn and the house. We would highly recommend Kim’s services and will definitely book her again in the future!

We just had Sarah watch our two dogs in our home for the second time and she was absolutely fantastic! One of our dogs recently hurt his leg and she went above and beyond administering his medication, walking him on a leash in our backyard, and keeping a close eye on him. Would 1000% recommend Sarah!

We went away for a week and had Nicole take care of our dog Teddy. He is very shy and not used to strangers. He warmed up to her immediately and they had a great week. She sent us pictures of him and kept us aware of what he was doing each day. The house was perfectly kept and I really felt confident being away and not worrying about the dog or our home. I would absolutely use Nicole again. She was responsible and reliable.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Wales on Rover is $81.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,907 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Wales. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Wales walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Wales maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Wales choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Wales. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
