“Amy took awesome care of our dog while we were on vacation. She made sure he got his medicine and went for daily walks. She kept me up to date with pictures. I would definitely recommend her for taking care of your pet!”

“Beverly was awesome. This was the first time we were away from our 150lb mastiff puppy and we were worried about him. Bev made us very comfortable during the meet and greet and communicated with us up until the the sit started to ensure she had all the details and care instructions. On the day of the sit she showed up right on time and settled in before we had to leave, so the puppies would get used to her being in the house. During the next few days she took wonderful care of our furbabies. She played with them and cuddled with them when they were moping and was persistent about trying to get them to eat. Pretty soon they were following her around everywhere. She sent us a lot of pictures of them and the house was immaculately clean when we got back. We would love for her to care for our babies again in the future.”

“Stefanie is the first house sitter I've ever had in my long history of being a dog Mom. I am wondering what took me so long to choose home comforts over a kennel for my dog Rosie because Stefanie is all that I wanted in a house sitter. When I had to change the reservation last minute, Stefanie was completely understanding and accepting of the change. I know that Rosie was in the best of care and I loved Stefanie's daily pictures and updates. I didn't worry about my pet at all. Stefanie is very neat, respectful, and responsive. I will definitely ask her back.”
“Joanne is absolutely excellent! She is kind, communicative, and did a great job with our dog. She followed all care instructions and took excellent care of our dog while we were away. We got frequent updates and felt so at ease with her watching our dog. When we returned home, our dog seemed so happy, calm, and relaxed. An absolute pleasure to work with, we look forward to hiring Joanne again!”

“Highly recommend! Responsive, proactive and pleasant to work with. She stayed at my house for 10 days with 2 dogs and a tortoise :-) will use Brooke again for sure!”

About: 1) Experienced with dogs of all personalities and temperaments through several years of volunteering at Dogtown Rescue, where I learned how to safely handle dogs with different energy levels, behaviors, and needs. 2) Safety is always my top priority. I’m extremely attentive on walks and proactively avoid situations that could cause stress or unsafe interactions with unfamiliar dogs. 3) Detail-oriented and careful. Before every walk, I check that harnesses, collars, and leashes are properly fitted and secure to help keep your pet safe. 4) Patient and calm approach. I understand that every dog is different and take the time to make them feel comfortable, respected, and cared for. 5) I treat every pet like my own, providing dependable, loving care while giving owners peace of mind that their furry family member is in good hands. I currently have a hybrid job so I am able to provide care on various days and various times throughout the week. I also have flexibility weekends as I am often local. Prior to letting a dog out, I will always double check that fences and gates are properly closed. Additionally, prior to walks I always ensure that harnesses and leashes are properly working.
“Alex watched my dog overnight at my house while I was on a short work trip. I typically leave Oso with family when I have to go away, and last time I used a different sitter I had a bad experience, so I was hesitant to leave him overnight. But Alex was professional and I knew Oso was in good hands. Came home to a happy dog. Thank you!!”

“My husband & I were really nervous to have someone house sit, but not only was Ryan awesome with our Yorkie & Fox Terrier but we returned to a clean house. He followed all of our well & gave daily reports on our fur-babies. Thanks so much Ryan!!”

“Allie was awesome! She asked all the right questions from someone watching your puppies and staying at your home. She did a great job and sent plenty of pics to show my puppies were happy and taken care of. I would highly recommend her”

“Brittany did 2 night house/dog sitting for my senior blind dog. She was very nice, communicative, and sent photos - no complaints here! One thing I really appreciated: there is a large gap in the day between feedings so informed her a head of time that she may leave for a bit like 1-4 hrs if needed for errands, appointments, etc (she did not ask! I came out with this and usually tell sitters this). I just dont want my dog alone all day and night as I work from home and am always here, and I do not want too much in and out or just walk ins. Closer to the scheduled sitting, she kindly let me know she would need to step out briefly which I confirmed was still fine. Without me asking her to do so, she messaged me when she left with expected time of return and messaged me when she officially returned”

“Kaitlyn pet/house sat for us recently, and we are so grateful for her help. She kept us regularly informed of our babies and was comfortable asking questions. It was wonderful knowing we had someone we could trust taking care of our critters!”

“So helpful and kind, Athena took to her right away. She definitely has great "dog sense" and knows how to handle a more dominant personality with playful ease. 10/10 would highly recommend you book ❤️”

I walk my own dog between 3 to 6 miles a day, exploring local trails and discovering new environments. I believe that changing up walking routes keeps a dog mentally stimulated and deeply engaged. By turning a standard bathroom break into a fresh adventure, your pup stays excited, happy, and pleasantly tired out by the time you get home. Ready to level up your fur-baby's daily activity? I’m the reliable, active, and loving sitter you’ve been looking for. Let’s connect and chat about your pup's routine! “I wish that more people in the world were like Tim. His integrity, responsibility, and dedication are rare qualities. I was at my wits end with stress from moving across the country, but I had to travel for work. I was worried sick about my poor cat that had been through so much stress already. From the first day, I felt that I could trust Tim with my cat and my home. With clear and regular communication, I could see that my very shy cat was warming up to Tim and it gave me a sense of relief that I hadn’t felt in weeks. Despite the facts that my furniture hadn’t even arrived (and arrived while I was away!), that the house was cold, and had few amenities, Tim never complained and handled everything graciously. Simply put, Tim was there for me when I needed help, and he has my eternal trust and gratitude. I’ve already asked him to stay again when I have to travel in a couple of months.”

About: I’ve owned a dog of my own since I was about 8 years old. Other then that for a couple years now I have been helping out family friends by walking/ feeding their pets when they are away. I decided to take part in this as a part time summer job! I am very flexible and should have loads of time to walk/ play with your pups. You can fully rely on me to make sure the pups are secured when I leave.. whether this is crating your pet or making sure the gates are locked I’ll make it happen!

Kendall took good care of Bambi for me. She fed her, walked her, and stayed overnight with her. Bambi was her usual self when I got home (not traumatized). Kendall went beyond what I expected by laundering Bambi's blankets and taking the trash out. I would definitely recommend Kendall.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chatham Village of Towamencin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chatham Village of Towamencin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chatham Village of Towamencin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chatham Village of Towamencin. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
