About: My house runs on cat hair and Alaskan Klee Kai energy — Annie, Mr. Darcy, and Benni keep me well-trained. I offer drop-ins, dog walking, and house sitting. I'll follow your routine or adapt to your pet's needs. Adept at medication administration, including injections. You'll hear from me — photos, texts, video updates, FaceTime if you just need to see their face. I'm easy to reach and big on communication. My cancellation policy is as flexible as possible, because schedules change and I understand that. Available weekday afternoons and evenings, weekends, and overnights. All breeds, all sizes, all personalities welcome. Your pet's in good hands — Benni can vouch. Pet care is a priority in my weekly routine, not an afterthought. I'm consistently available weekday afternoons and evenings, weekends, and overnights. When I'm with your pet, I'm actually present. My time is theirs; they're the point. Spending time with your pets is a privilege. Your home is your pet's comfort zone. I stick to what works for them — their space, their schedule, their quirks. I'm a careful observer, so if something seems off behaviorally or physically, I'll flag it rather than wait and see. I'm attentive to behavioral changes or anything that seems off, and I'm comfortable managing medications, including injections, so pets with medical needs are always welcome. The goal is simple: your pet feels safe, and so do you.

About: I am an experienced caregiver with strong attention to safety, and I grew up caring for my neighbors’ and friends’ dogs. I love walking calm, more relaxed dogs, but I also enjoy caring for energetic, enthusiastic dogs as well. I started walking neighbors’ dogs at a younger age and have always enjoyed being able to provide safe, fun walks while building trust and strong bonds with every dog. My dream dog is a Miniature Dachshund, and I plan to get one once I'm out of school and have the time to care for one full-time. In the meantime, I'd love to use my extra free time to care for your dog and treat them like they're my own! I work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. I love going on daily walks and would enjoy having your dog as my companion, and I’m even open to short runs for high-energy dogs that need to get some extra energy out! I’m available for walks and drop-ins most weekdays and can also be available on weekends. During walks and drop-ins, I make sure your dog gets bathroom breaks, exercise, fresh water, and plenty of attention. I focus on keeping your pet comfortable by following their normal routine and respecting your home. I’m also comfortable safely crating dogs when needed. I do especially well with clear instructions and take the time to understand your dog’s specific needs, behaviors, and preferences to provide the safest, most personalized care possible.
“Anna is a professional, a great communicator and clearly knows what she’s doing. She has a great attitude, good judgment, and is someone you can trust. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and currently have a friendly 4-year-old Lab mix named Maverick. I also volunteer with local animal shelters, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, energy levels, and personalities. As a medical student, I’m used to staying organized, following detailed instructions, and paying close attention to routines and behavior. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your dog needs lots of exercise, extra patience, medication, or just a comfortable place to relax, I’m happy to tailor their care to their individual needs. I’m currently a medical student, and much of my coursework can be completed from home. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care throughout the day. While my schedule varies slightly week to week, I’m generally available for frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, and plenty of companionship. I make every effort to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and exercise, and I only board one guest dog at a time so they receive plenty of individual attention. I also have a friendly 4-year-old Lab mix who enjoys other dogs when it’s a good fit. I always take introductions slowly and make sure both dogs are comfortable before allowing interactions. I’m happy to accommodate specific feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and any other instructions that help your pet feel at home.
About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and have cared for dogs for friends over the years. While I don’t have formal training or certifications, I bring a lot of heart, patience, and playfulness to every pet I care for. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I’m all in. I know how important it is to feel like your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away—and I’m here to provide that kind of care. I work for the Iowa City School District and have the whole summer off—so I’m looking for something fun to do, and what’s better than hanging out with animals? I’ve got plenty of free time and would love to spend it walking dogs, giving belly rubs, and making sure your pets are happy! I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved in their own environment. I stick closely to their usual routines, follow all instructions you provide, and treat your home with the same respect I’d want for mine. I know how important trust is, so I’ll keep you updated and make sure your pet gets all the attention, play, and care they need while you’re away.

“Meredith did an outstanding job minding our two cats and she was more than willing to assist with getting mail, light watering of plants/garden, and emptying our dehumidifier while we were on vacation for almost two weeks. Communication (and pictures!) were excellent and I really never worried whether our animals and home were in good hands while we were away. I would not hesitate to use her again in the future.”

About: I am a lifelong dog owner and hospital pet therapy volunteer. Through friends and family, I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I have remained active in retirement by walking my own dog roughly 2-3 miles a day. As a retired elementary teacher I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to devote to your dog. I don't believe in rushing visits or simply stopping by. I enjoy spending meaningful time with each dog to make sure they are happy and comfortable. I am available for home visits and dog walking. I currently own one dog and live in a condo so do not have a fenced in yard. I make sure to walk my dog at least four times a day. She is free to roam the entire house but will put herself in the basement during storms or fireworks.
“Lauren was always quick to respond and she was very flexible and accommodating, agreeing to meet my pup beforehand and dropping my keys back off. She sent photos during the drop in visits and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog’s care in her hands. Strongly recommend Lauren as a Rover dog sitter!”

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pets. My background is in education, which means I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and very comfortable creating structure and routine — something dogs thrive on. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve fostered puppies and supported hospice animals, giving me experience with dogs at every stage of life. From energetic puppies who need consistency and training reinforcement, to senior dogs who need a gentle pace and extra care, I’m comfortable adjusting to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I offer walks, drop-ins, and boarding, and I treat every pet like part of my family. Safety, communication, and compassion are my top priorities. You can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding with advance notice. Evenings and weekends are especially flexible for me, making it easy to accommodate work schedules and weekend getaways. Beginning June 1, I will be located full-time in North Liberty, which will allow for even greater availability and flexibility for local clients. I do my best to be dependable and communicative, so if you reach out with dates in mind, I’ll always respond promptly. How I Care for Pets Whether pets are in my home or their own, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. Structure, safety, and affection are my top priorities. In My Home (Boarding/Daycare): Pets are treated like part of the family. I follow your feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any training expectations you have in place. Dogs receive regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency and supervision, as well as senior or hospice dogs who may need a slower pace, medication, or extra comfort. I maintain a calm, clean environment and always supervise interactions carefully. In Your Home (Drop-Ins/Walks): I respect your space and your pet’s established routine. I’ll ensure they’re fed, exercised, given fresh water, and provided enrichment and affection during each visit. I’m attentive to behavior changes and will communicate updates clearly, including photos and notes so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Because of my background in education, I’m patient, observant, and very comfortable reinforcing training, boundaries, and routines. I understand that every dog is different, and I adjust my care to match their personality, age, and energy level. My goal is always the same: your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for — and you feel completely confident while you’re away.

I have more time on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) for feedings, walks, playtime, check-ins, overnight care, etc. to make sure pets get the time and care they need. I would be able to care for pets in your home. Safety and trust are my top priorities in every home. I follow all care instructions closely and take time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and comfort level. About: I have completed anywhere from a couple of hours of pet-sitting to a full week of spending time with pets! Growing up with both dogs and cats, I have a special place in my heart for caring for them. I enjoy keeping pets engaged to make them feel loved and give them the attention they need. Whether your pet is an outdoor adventurer or prefers to spend some time cozied-up on the couch, I'll be there to support your pet in any and all of their hobbies! I have had experience working with pets as young as their puppy years through their senior. As a doctoral student with a slower schedule this semester, I have lots more time to dedicate to caring for your pets! Depending on the day, I have full days, mornings, afternoons, or evenings available to care for your pet along with some weekend availability! Before taking care of your pet - I either would like to meet with you or have a phone/zoom call to meet you and your pet to ensure we are both in communication about the care you would like them to have. I enjoy sending photos or videos of pets to owners as well so you can stay up to date with what we are doing and how we are spending our time together! If there are any additional safety or environment concerns you have or would like to discuss, we can communicate about this as well. I want to ensure you feel like your pet is in good hands!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Liberty
Hollea has been doing drop in visits for us for several months. She is very reliable, shows up a few minutes early to get any instructions and then takes great care of our dogs. When we had to suddenly put our one of them down, she came over to say good bye and then stayed, making sure I was calm and ok. She is just amazing! Our other dog, Chesna loves when she comes. She is all body wiggles and smiles. I 100% recommend Hollea.

Raquel literally saved the day at the absolute last minute when I had a family emergency 2 hours away. Even tho she had never met the pups or me, she took amazing care of my babies and beautifully handled the panicked information overload I dumped on her as I rushed out of town leaving a new person to care for two pups that are VERY set in their ways and never away from mom! I truly can’t say enough good things about her and her care for not only my babies but my home and me as well 🖤 (She even sat out the next days food for the pups bc I had mentioned I had forgotten to the night before 😭) I would 100% recommend her to anyone, and while I don’t leave my pups much, I can’t wait to have her come back to hang with them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
