“Gavin did an incredible job updating us every day with photos of our golden girl! Excellent sitter, 100% recommend for your future home sitting and pet sitting needs.”

“Thank you! We knew our three pups were in good hands when Jennifer came to meet them for the first time. Aside from her background and years of experience caring for pets, it’s apparent from the very first moment how much she loves animals. She got to know them and their personalities, handled giving our oldest his medicine three times a day while also entertaining our youngest who has boundless energy. Jen sent many photos and provided updates. We returned to happy dogs and won’t hesitate to book her again!”

“Highly recommend Jess! She is knowledgeable about pets and their care, highly reliable and is a quick and thorough communicator. Jess has looked after both my elderly dog and young pup and is adaptable/capable to meeting their individual routines.”

“Katherine was great - she stayed overnight at our house and she took great care of our animals and house. She kept us updated with pictures and videos of all the animals. She was very flexible when we were returning home and her communication was overall excellent. We'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals!”

“We contacted Caley for a recent trip and were thankful to find her! She was great at staying in touch, providing updates and send us photos of our three pets! We were so happy to know there was someone keeping an eye on things while we were gone! We came home to very happy animals and Caley left our house in great shape! Thanks again!”
“Julianne spent 2 overnights with our little Havanese, and we couldn't have been happier with her. Not only was she very responsible with following instructions as to his care but she also showed she was someone we can trust to stay in our home. Frequent updates with photos assured us that things we going smoothly. She won our shy one-year-old Jaco over. Will use her again.”

About: I’m a single Nana no current pets I miss the puppy snuggles and kisses . I have had to pill my dog kids in the past so I’m familiar with that as well I work full time 8-4 . Work is in Manchester Nh home is in Hampton Nh My weekends are free. I wake early and stay up late . I’m able to offer potty breaks and mid day local check-ins . “Ty literally came to the rescue for us. He was accommodating and so understanding of our ever changing plans. He arrived on time and was very communicative. When we arrived home our dog seemed quite content. We will use Ty again.”

“Sarah is absolutely wonderful!!! She is incredibly responsive to text messages and took such good care of our Sadie for 3 nights. This was the 1st time we left our 7 month old golden with anyone and of course, wanted everything to go smoothly. She sent me photos and updates and I didn’t have to worry at all. I would absolutely hire Sarah again without any hesitation!! I know you’ll love her!”

“Andy was wonderful. He did an amazing job taking care of our Anna. She's a large dog, 120 lbs, and many people are intimidated by her, but Andy was comfortable with her from the meet and greet. He followed our instructions, walked Anna as needed, was at our house during the times we agreed upon, and left the house neat and tidy. Andy excels at communication and sends photos regularly, which is reassuring when you're far away from home. He also texted and was quick to respond throughout our vacation and the booking process. We would definitely rebook him and recommend him to others. Sincerely Rebecca”

About: I've been around animals my whole life. I grew up with dogs, and these days I'm often the person friends and family call when they need someone to look after their pets. I've spent plenty of time walking dogs, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they're well cared for while their owners are away. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including larger, high-energy breeds. I enjoy getting to know each animal's personality and building trust with them. I've even trained my own cats to do tricks and respond to commands using positive reinforcement. Taking care of animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take the responsibility seriously because I know how much people's pets mean to them. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me the flexibility to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the day. Outside of work, taking care of animals has always been a regular part of my life, whether that's spending time with my own pets or helping friends and family with theirs. Because I work a consistent schedule and plan my time carefully, I can be reliable and punctual when it comes to pet care. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so it's something I genuinely look forward to rather than trying to squeeze into a busy schedule. I try to keep things as close to the pet's normal routine as possible. When I'm caring for a pet in their home, I follow the owner's instructions and make sure they're getting everything they need, whether that's walks, meals, playtime, medications, or just some company while their owner is away. I pay attention to each animal's personality and body language and adjust my approach accordingly. Some pets want lots of attention and activity, while others are happier with a quieter approach and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with both. Safety is always important to me. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary. My goal is to make sure pets are comfortable, well cared for, and as stress-free as possible while their owners are away. I make sure that I'm always available, and communication is a huge priority for me
“Tati was so attentive and flexible to attend our Goldendoodle at our apartment. They were friends within 5 minutes of meeting and had a great time together while we explored downtown San Diego.”

“Arianna was amazing! She was super communicative, super professional, extremely friendly, and sent tons of pictures of Basil while I was away. I would definitely recommend her for house/ pet sitting and would absolutely book her again.”

“Allison was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better pup sitter. She took care of our two dogs for a long weekend and was great at communicating, making sure meds were given, and she left our place super clean. Can’t wait to rebook her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Hampton
Brittany took great care of Wrigley and Etta while we were away at Disney World. Leaving Etta is always stressful because she struggles with separation anxiety and requires daily medication, but Brittany made the whole experience so much easier. She kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and pictures, let us know how they were doing, and made sure Etta got her medication. Both dogs got plenty of walks, attention, and love while we were away. The biggest thing for me was coming home to two happy, relaxed dogs. It was clear they were well cared for and comfortable with Brittany. Having someone we could trust with our dogs gave us so much peace of mind while we were gone. We would absolutely book with Brittany again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive to their pets.

Caelie cared for our dog as if he were her own; he was loved, walked, fed, and she kept up with our training regimen. Caelie’s communication is top-notch! She texted updates as needed and sent us photos regularly. There were multiple snowstorms during the time she cared for him and she took very good care of our home both inside and out. I highly recommend Caelie for your pet sitting needs!

Caley was unbelievably accommodating as when we were traveling we had gotten delayed quite a bit, but she was able to help us out and extend her stay and also able to be there for our dogs during one of the worst blizzards I’ve ever seen, she took great care of the house and our dogs, and we will definitely hire her again for a certain!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Hampton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Hampton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Hampton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
