About: I've had large dogs my entire life, including a special needs dog and police-trained K9 dogs. I have owned and operated a farm hotel in Brazil for the past 5 years, where I was the primary responsible for all daily care, injections, medical treatments and behavioral work with the animals (5 large dogs and multiple farm animals), so am very comfortable administering any special care your animal may need. We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my entire life, with most of my pets coming from shelters and rescues. This experience has given me a strong appreciation for different temperaments, routines, and comfort levels. Currently, I live with my partner Caley (also on Rover!) and an 8 year old domestic shorthair cat named Barnett. We reside in walking distance of North Beach in Hampton. I primarily work from home, which gives me excellent flexibility for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I am in the office a day or two, but am typically able to shift days in order accommodate walks. I take safety seriously and treat every pet as if they were my own. About: Taking care of animals is my joy. I have 3 healthy cats and an 8 week old puppy at home who I take care of, and I have been dog and cat sitting since I was around 12. When I was younger I put up flyers around town for my little pet care business, and people loved how I took care of their animals. I am currently working part time and in online school, so my schedule is very flexible and I have lots of time to take care of animals! About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

About: For pretty much most of my entire life I’ve had a dog. I gave them all the love I had and they did the same right back at me. Currently we own a beautiful 4yr old Golden named Sammy. He is gentile playful loving and silly. When a dog walks into our home it takes about 30 seconds and just like that Sammys got a new best friend. My business is in insurance sales which has me doing most of my work from home. This allows me to take great care of my dog Sammy and any of his friends. We’ve got a spacious open concept home with a big grassy fenced in back yard for lots of play time. We can also easily crate your dog if needed. About: Dogs have always been my favorite animal. I grew up with family dogs my whole life. My dog, Ellie, is an amazing 13 year old lab-mix that we have had since she was 8 weeks old. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. I am a stay at home mom with a lot of flexibility in my schedule. We are an active family that spend a lot of time outside and always have Ellie with us. I treat pets as another member of the family and ensure they are well cared for. I would love to help with all of your furry friends needs! I am currently a stay at home mom with lots of flexibility in my schedule. I would have the ability to care for your dog multiple times in a day if needed. I am happy to provide any care that your dog needs. I am unable to take dogs in to my home at this time but happy to pick your dog up for walks and adventures or care for them in your house.

“I am so glad and grateful that Shana and Dylan watched my pup this week. I could not have asked for anyone better!! I adopted my dog less than two weeks ago and - still getting to know her - had a trip planned and needed to board her for 5 days. I was hoping for someone to treat my dog like their own and Shana and Dylan did just that. In fact, they went above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for - letting her snuggle with them at night, sending me frequent updates and pup pics, going out of their way to pick up beef and rice and cook it for my girl when her stool was soft, and packing the rest to go when I picked her up. Their dog Cleo is a sweetheart, and joined in on the doggy snuggles. I know if I ever need a sitter again I’ll be reaching out to Shana.”

Understanding of special needs for anxiety/separation issues was not only able to accommodate my last minute request for day care, but fit in a meet and greet a day ahead to help Luna get comfortable with her and go over any needs. She went the extra mile staying late when I hit delays with work meetings and traffic, and was great with respecting limits and engaging Luna on her level for her intro sit, and reading dog behavior. I am picky about who I entrust my dog with, and I felt immediately comfortable with Cecilia on first meet. About: I've had large dogs my entire life, including a special needs dog and police-trained K9 dogs. I have owned and operated a farm hotel in Brazil for the past 5 years, where I was the primary responsible for all daily care, injections, medical treatments and behavioral work with the animals (5 large dogs and multiple farm animals), so am very comfortable administering any special care your animal may need. I have also rescued & fostered nearly a dozen dogs from the street and helped them find forever homes. I love all animals and understand each one is different with unique personalities. The pics on my profile are from my farm. I work from home which allows me to always be present to keep your pet company, and love taking small cuddle, walk and play breaks throughout the day to break up my desk routine. Having extra dogs is the perfect excuse to stretch my legs! I live alone in a spacious apartment downtown Portsmouth where I can board up to 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs at a time. I am only a 5min walk from the Mill Pond dog park and can take your dog for several walks throughout the day. I can also crate your dog if they prefer it. I can administer medication and provide any special treatment necessary. I treat all pets as my own, like members of my family.

“Jude was amazing with our little Minnie. He met and welcomed her in the driveway and he allowed her time to get adjusted to her new environment. Minnie spent 3 nights at Jude which we were very nervous about as we have never did in home boarding. Jude provided updates and pictures throughout her stay. Jude has an amazing home and large yard.
