“Candi has been such a blessing to our family. She communicates before and after each walk, sends multiple pictures, and is very kind and reliable. She was open to helping train our 1yr old rescue dog and provides much feedback regarding their progress. We are comfortable with Candi driving our dog to the local walking trail since our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks. Candi is an asset to Rover and I know our pup agrees.”

“Gilisa was awesome! Very punctual, flexible, friendly, and great communication. I received at least one photo of my dog every walk. Luna was tired at the end of their hour walks! Would highly recommend!”

About: I volunteer at my local animal shelter and I am great with both dogs and cats. I grew up with my cat, Hepsiba, born before me who died when I was nearly 20 years of age. We were best friends before I knew what that was. Then at the age of 12 or so, my parents adopted 2 English cocker spaniels, brother and sister. Robbie and Flora. So I was taking care of three pets. Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For a time, I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Carefully and comfortably. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. If it could be all I did, all the time - I think that I would like that just fine. I’ll need a heads up at first to secure prep, but after that I could spend virtually all of my time with your companions - needing only to stop momentarily for supplies. Generally, boarding an animal at my own home is a much bigger ask, if it’s to be overnight. But during the day if they were to be transported here and then picked up again, then it’s fairly simple. Massasoit State Park is half a mile from my house and offers a great destination - all the dogs I’ve taken care of and brought there have loved it. At a home that the pet is used to is really a non-issue, (it helps if the owner is there when I meet the companion in question). Overnight and for extended lengths, though - it would only be a matter of making sure I’d have what I’d need for the length of time, so I would need just a little prep time.

“Montana is so good with my puppy! She loves Lucky like she’s her own. She always sends pictures and videos and communicates a full recap of their visit, which means so much! Highly recommend her!”

About: I love dogs to my very core! My best friend in the whole world is my little chihuahua/min-pin mix. I love running around in the yard and having a hiking buddy. I can't get enough of their cute little faces and enjoying playing with a fuzzy friend! I'm a Wildlife and Conservation Biology student at the University of Rhode Island, and during the summer, I intern at a turtle rescue and rehabilitation center in Rhode Island. I have a deep love for animals of all kinds, and I miss my furry friends when I'm away at school. I would come to a client's home to feed, walk, play, and anything else the fuzzy friend may need! I am more than happy to take an animal for a walk around the neighborhood or take them to a park. I am willing to drive the animal to appointments or other as well!

Duncan M.
“I have had the joy of experiencing Duncan’s unconditional love and the unrelenting care he provided for his dog Bruce. When Bruce’s health declined Duncan provided steadfast, persistent, and unwavering support, even carrying the 120lb pup outside to use the bathroom. Duncan has a relaxed aura about him and is able to make any animal feel comfortable and at ease. He’s genuinely a cool human and volunteers his time weekly at the local animal shelter. He is respectful, responsible, kind, and communicates clearly and consistently. I can’t recommend a better human to care for your animals.”

Ariana S.

“Very professional and great communication! She is able to handle my high energy Pitbull!!”

Montana M.

“Montana is so good with my puppy! She loves Lucky like she’s her own. She always sends pictures and videos and communicates a full recap of their visit, which means so much! Highly recommend her!”

Amethyst C.
“Amethyst is one of the kindest, most empathetic people I know. One of the many things we bonded over was our shared love for animals! Over the years she has had a handful of pets that have been a little older, disabled, or just needed a little extra attention. Her experience with those special individuals definitely makes her stand out. Your pets would be in safe, loving hands with her!”

Carisa K.
“Carisa, being a good friend of mine, has always been my number one person to call for my pets needs. I have a young mini golden-doodle named Pickles who requires ALOT of attention. Carisa has always been there for me without a bat of an eye to provide some extra care for him. She’s gone out of her way to stop by and take him out on nights I work late. She helped with his training and learning how to walk on the leash like a good boy. On nice days she loves to take him to the park as she emphasized how important socialization is. Most importantly she’s helped me with his medical needs, she educate me on vaccines and preventatives, she’s endlessly giving me advice and counseling me on how to be the best dog owner I possibly can. She’s a naturally caring person and very compassionate about proper pet care. Plus she cuts Mr. Pickles nails, which I’m terrified to do! I would recommend Carisa to anyone as I know any pet would be lucky to have Carisa in their life.”

Miranda C.
“Miranda was an animal lover for as long as I can remember. She currently works with them for a living both as a veterinary technician, a trainer, in volunteering with therapy dogs and now a sitter. She knows not only how to keep them happy and behaved, but also how to handle a variety of health needs and requirements as a professional would. I would trust her judgment and experience with any dog.”

Shana M.

“Shana, is my adoptive college daughter (we are really just great friends but she calls me mama :)) She has an absolute need to care for other beings and has a calming way about her to make all animals and people fall in love with her! Animals are drawn to her and trust her immediately! She has a way with doing all of this while being on time with appointments, making sure the animals are taken care of, and making sure they get the love they need while she watched over them. Love this woman and he love for animals!”

Katrina R.
“Katrina has a special bond with all of our furry friends. She has many skills that make her an outstanding caregiver, such as kindness, patience, and the ability to honor her commitments. She has even worked with extreme cases. My own pet, a cat, suffered from stomach cancer and died prematurely. Her care allowed him to live longer than expected. I was so happy to have him (Louie) for another 6 months. He was able to go comfortably and in peace. She even had a pet of her own with special needs due to terminal illness. I would highly recommend Katrina for any and all pet sitting duties with animals of all kinds!”
