About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. My journey started with pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family in middle school and grew to volunteering at local animal shelters and working in a boarding kennel to currently working as a vet assistant while at school, pursing a pre-veterinary science degree, giving me experience with animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. At home I have a 14 year old beagle/boston terrier named Pepper who I just adore. I cannot wait to share my experience and love for animals with your pets while you are away :) As I am currently a junior pre-vet at UMass Amherst, my availability lies around my class schedule. I am available most evenings and weekends as well as most early mornings; however, my availability in the middle of the day is a little more limited. Feel free to reach out with times you were looking for, and I'd love to see if I can make it work! I understand that it can be strange for our pets when a new person comes in the house, so I encourage owners to reach out to schedule a meet and greet so I can meet your four legged friends before you are gone, making the process less stressful for everyone involved.

They brought in my packages that were delivered and cleaned up cat mess, followed my instructions to a "T", I returned to my cat after 5 days and they were not starving or starved for attention, I receives such an in depth update every visit along with pictures. Any questions they had, they asked instead of assuming and deciding for themselves. A+ will absolutely be calling Lukas whenever Cooper needs a sitter!”

About: I regularly pet sit for family and neighbors. I’ve had many different kinds of pets of my own that all required different levels of care. From cats, dogs, snake, and tortoises. I will be available most afternoons and evenings during the week and anytime during the weekends. As a full time students my mornings are often less flexible but starting from early in the afternoon I will be available during the week. I like to keep pets on their regular schedules and play with them based on their energy levels. This we all have a great time.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. I’m heading to UMass to study Animal Science and hope to join the National Guard to gain EOD bomb-sniffing dog experience. I currently own a high-energy Border Collie/Australian Kelpie mix I rescued, and I’ve also cared for an elderly Shih Tzu who needed lots of special attention and patience. I’m very work-oriented, reliable, and people have told me I’m great with customer service. Neighbors, friends, and family often count on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets, and I truly love every moment of it. As a full-time student, I’ve built a schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I also work at a doggy daycare in Avon, CT, so my work schedule usually varies throughout the week. I’m happy to communicate my availability ahead of time and work with each pet parent to find a schedule that works best for everyone. I’m generally more flexible on days I’m not working and can often accommodate evenings and weekends. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. Working at a doggy daycare has given me experience handling dogs with all different personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. I’m attentive to their body language and routines and always make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise, attention, rest, food, and potty breaks. I also understand that every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow each pet’s specific routine and their owner’s instructions.

About: Not only have I taken care of my own dogs since I was little, I’ve also pet sat for my older siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and anyone else in my family who may have needed a safe place for their pets to stay for a couple nights. I also truly enjoy going on walks and keeping myself active. Lastly, I have a genuine love for dogs and would love nothing more but to spend my days walking and playing with them. I’m a full time student at UMass Amherst, but my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m available all afternoons and most mornings. I also currently work part-time as a waitress, but that schedule is just as flexible. At home, my dogs enjoy a large, fenced in back yard in which they are able to run and play catch and use it for whatever other needs they may have. They are not crated (personal preference) but they are very well trained when indoors. My youngest dog loves to play fetch and tug of war and my oldest loves to relax and watch the cars drive by through the window.

About: I have never lived in a house without at least one pet. Growing up, I loved playing with my dogs and cuddling with my cat. I have been capable of providing everyday care to pets since a very young age. I currently have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule. I am a junior year student at UMass Amherst. I have 2 very busy school days, 2 where I only have one class, and Fridays off from classes. I am determined to provide pet care in my client’s homes however they please. I am an excellent rule follower. I am also able to provide constant check ins over messages!

About: I’ve been an animal lover and pet owner since I was 5 years old! Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals and friends and family have always trusted me with their pets because they know how much I genuinely love animals. My experience has a wide range. I grew up training my puppy and nurturing my kittens until they were cats, so I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, personalities, and needs. I’ve also cared for my pregnant cat and her four kittens, giving me experience with both everyday pet care and more hands-on responsibilities. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or simply some extra love while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the same patience, attention, and care I’ve always given my own animals! I’m a full-time college student, but I am extremely flexible! With short days of classes my afternoons and evenings are wide open! I’m open to overnight and early morning care as well! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I’ll follow all feeding, medication, walking, playtime, and bathroom instructions carefully and make sure they always have fresh water and a clean environment. I love giving pets plenty of attention and companionship, while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic and more independent pets, and I’ll take the time to make sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I also believe communication is important! I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to treat every pet like one of my own and leave your home just as I found it.

About: I’ve had many dogs and cats as pets and there have been medical issues I have learned to deal with such as asthma, arthritis injections and heart murmurs. I have also worked at vet clinics for summer jobs! I am currently a full time student as UMASS Amherst. Most of my availability will be on weekends but I can also do weekday evenings. I will not be in MA during holidays since I go home to my family. I can drop-in to feed animals or I can spend some time with the animals. I am happy to go for walks or if the animals prefer to stay inside, I can bring some work to do while I am there.

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have been caring for dogs and cats since I was about 10. Most of my experience has come from helping family, friends, and neighbors with their pets when they need someone they can trust. I’ve taken care of pets with different personalities and energy levels, and I really enjoy getting to know what makes each one comfortable and happy. I’m happy to take dogs on walks, play with them, feed them, give them attention, or just keep them company, and I’m just as comfortable spending time with cats and making sure they get the care and attention they need. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel confident that they’re safe, comfortable, and being well cared for while you’re away. I’m currently in college, so my availability depends on my class schedule. I’m available anytime on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and I’m available after 1 PM on Fridays. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention and care. When caring for someone’s pet, I want both the pet and their owner to feel comfortable and confident leaving them with me. I’ll follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, while making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. I’ll also treat your home with respect and keep you updated while you’re away so you know how your pet is doing.

About: I have experience taking care of pets with varying attachment styles - ranging from anxious, young dogs to elderly, affectionate cats who need lots of attention! I am very adaptable and can match a pet's energy levels well. I appreciate taking the time to get to know a pet in order to build a comfortable bond. I am a local graduate student, I mostly have classes in the mornings during the week and currently have limited responsibilities outside of school, so I have lots of time to dedicate to pet care. I like to learn pets' physical boundaries, so I ease into how I approach playing and petting with them. When I have cared for anxious pets who experience separation anxiety when away from their owners, I focus my care on maintaining a calm environment in the home while making sure they are fed and hydrated.

“Jaclyn was absolutely wonderful with our newly adopted puppy Pita. From the moment she arrived, she had such a calm, kind energy and seemed to know exactly how to interact with her. Pita has only been in our home for two weeks after coming from a shelter, and she is still very undersocialized and learning to feel safe and confident around people. Jaclyn was incredibly patient, gentle, and competent. She understood Pita and respected her boundaries. By the end of the visit, Pita was comfortable enough to fall asleep near her, which honestly says everything! We highly recommend working with Jaclyn!”

About: I have 30 years experience with puppies through seniors - healthy through special needs. Training for puppies on leash walks through walking seniors in a stroller. My dogs have ranged from disabled chihuahuas, big German shepherds, and lively beagle mixes. I excel at bonding and building trust with pets and look to have a unique connection with each one. For doggy daycare and boarding: Right now, I dont own any dogs. Your dogs would be the only dogs in my home. When there are dogs in my home, my cats are safely locked away in the basement with their food, toys, water, and playhouses. There will be no interaction. I am currently working part time (remotely) and fully available to care for your pets, play with them, give them all the attention, care, and love they deserve! Morning, afternoon, evening, late night care is well within my timeframe. Caring for your dog: I will only walk on leash - no unleashed care unless within a fully fenced backyard. If you are training your dog, I will be able to continue with training. I am able to administer medication if needed. If your dog has any allergies or requires special food, please be sure to let me know. Happy to perform brushing or baths if needed. Pets, hugs, playtime, or lounging and relaxing - whatever their preference and makes them feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. As for caring for your cats, I request a full schedule of their feeding times, and recommendations as to what they enjoy playing with. If they like to be brushed, please note. If they are skittish or love attention from people, please let me know so I can provide them with a level of care that will allow them to feel safe.
