About: Hi, Welcome to the Kanine Cottage:) Lots of fun and exploring to be done! Your pup will be walked at least every four hours during the day and we have a fenced in yard for them to play and relax. Plenty of space for unlimited play, hugs and love provided. Our dog’s names are lucy and Olive. They get along extremely well with other dogs and will love having a play mate. We are also able to provide transportation to a vet in case of a pup-mergency or pick ups/drop offs to and from your home. We also offer: Bathing, Additional walks, Care for elderly or disabled dogs. Inquire within about these additional services! Looking to board your pup over a holiday? We are available! We can't wait to meet you and your pups! We can be available 7 days a week to care for your pup. We are also available for short or long stays, daycare and dog walking. We have a big fenced in yard with lots of room for exploring and play. We also have crates available for dogs that prefer them. We consider your dogs part of the family and enjoy snuggles on our couch and beds.

About: I have experience taking care of pets with varying attachment styles - ranging from anxious, young dogs to elderly, affectionate cats who need lots of attention! I am very adaptable and can match a pet's energy levels well. I appreciate taking the time to get to know a pet in order to build a comfortable bond. I am a local graduate student, I mostly have classes in the mornings during the week and currently have limited responsibilities outside of school, so I have lots of time to dedicate to pet care. I like to learn pets' physical boundaries, so I ease into how I approach playing and petting with them. When I have cared for anxious pets who experience separation anxiety when away from their owners, I focus my care on maintaining a calm environment in the home while making sure they are fed and hydrated.

About: I have never lived in a house without at least one pet. Growing up, I loved playing with my dogs and cuddling with my cat. I have been capable of providing everyday care to pets since a very young age. I currently have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule. I am a junior year student at UMass Amherst. I have 2 very busy school days, 2 where I only have one class, and Fridays off from classes. I am determined to provide pet care in my client’s homes however they please. I am an excellent rule follower. I am also able to provide constant check ins over messages!

About: I have Joyfully shared my entire life with pets for 70 years now!! I speak Fluent Feline and Canine and have been a pet parent to dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, turtles and fish as a child and provided daycare for birds. About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. I’m heading to UMass to study Animal Science and hope to join the National Guard to gain EOD bomb-sniffing dog experience. I currently own a high-energy Border Collie/Australian Kelpie mix I rescued, and I’ve also cared for an elderly Shih Tzu who needed lots of special attention and patience. I’m very work-oriented, reliable, and people have told me I’m great with customer service. Neighbors, friends, and family often count on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets, and I truly love every moment of it. As a full-time student, I’ve built a schedule that gives me plenty of time for pet care. I also work at a doggy daycare in Avon, CT, so my work schedule usually varies throughout the week. I’m happy to communicate my availability ahead of time and work with each pet parent to find a schedule that works best for everyone. I’m generally more flexible on days I’m not working and can often accommodate evenings and weekends. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. Working at a doggy daycare has given me experience handling dogs with all different personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. I’m attentive to their body language and routines and always make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise, attention, rest, food, and potty breaks. I also understand that every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow each pet’s specific routine and their owner’s instructions.

About: *listed experience is for dogs, as cats seem to have their own experience area* I love dogs, cats, (guinea pigs, bunnies, and hedgehogs too—though I don't think that's an option here). I grew up with 3 cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and chickens. I have lived with cats and small dogs multiple times (housemates), and I have petsitted for friends and neighbors throughout my life. I have limited experience with walking dogs (I grew up with cats) but have loads of previous and current experience playing with dogs (family and friends). In college I walked and played with greyhounds at a rescue for racing greyhounds, and I also worked for a little bit at an animal shelter. I'd like to use this opportunity to figure out which type of dog I'd like to adopt someday. For now, as a new sitter on here, I'd be most comfortable doing drop in and play visits with cats and dogs of all sizes, and walking dogs of medium size or less. I've been told I have a calm energy when meeting animals, and the three dogs my friends currently own seem to gravitate towards me. I also like playing tug, throwing sticks, and having a lap dog come to me for rubs. I work at a school and have off in the summer. I have a flexible schedule in the summer aside from a few small trips. My plan is to update my schedule frequently to keep up with my availability. When I am back at work, I will have to revamp my schedule. As for right now, I would prefer to go to the pet's home, as mine is not currently pet appropriate (plants and size). If I come to know a cat and owner well, I would adjust and put the plants in a closed room so the kitty could safely roam the rest of the house. At a pet's house, I would love a run down of their favorite toys, when treats are allowed to be given, etc. I love taking photos already, so would absolutely love to photograph your dog or cat being cute and fun, and send those as an update.

Pita has only been in our home for two weeks after coming from a shelter, and she is still very undersocialized and learning to feel safe and confident around people. About: I've worked in multiple areas of animal care including breeding and puppy development, dog daycare, and veterinary care. I have experience caring for all different breeds and ages of dogs! I don't have much professional experience with cats, but I have lived with many cats throughout my life and am a huge cat lover! I do not have any pets myself as I recently lost my dog. So i am in serious need of some dog time! I am available any time after 2:00pm sunday-thursday and all day friday and saturday(: some days i am available earlier than that, typically sundays and mondays im available around 12:30-1:00pm. I am happy to accommodate any of your pet's needs! I can walk, play, just give love, whatever makes your baby feel the most enriched and happy. I know every dog and cat has their own specific needs and I'm very dedicated to that! I live in a small studio apartment. There is plenty of great space to take walks near my house (i live right on the bike trail) but i do not have a fenced in yard. If this sounds like it could be suitable for your pet, i'm more than happy to board them(:

About: I have 30 years experience with puppies through seniors - healthy through special needs. Training for puppies on leash walks through walking seniors in a stroller. My dogs have ranged from disabled chihuahuas, big German shepherds, and lively beagle mixes. I excel at bonding and building trust with pets and look to have a unique connection with each one. For doggy daycare and boarding: Right now, I dont own any dogs. Your dogs would be the only dogs in my home. When there are dogs in my home, my cats are safely locked away in the basement with their food, toys, water, and playhouses. There will be no interaction. I am currently working part time (remotely) and fully available to care for your pets, play with them, give them all the attention, care, and love they deserve! Morning, afternoon, evening, late night care is well within my timeframe. Caring for your dog: I will only walk on leash - no unleashed care unless within a fully fenced backyard. If you are training your dog, I will be able to continue with training. I am able to administer medication if needed. If your dog has any allergies or requires special food, please be sure to let me know. Happy to perform brushing or baths if needed. Pets, hugs, playtime, or lounging and relaxing - whatever their preference and makes them feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. As for caring for your cats, I request a full schedule of their feeding times, and recommendations as to what they enjoy playing with. If they like to be brushed, please note. If they are skittish or love attention from people, please let me know so I can provide them with a level of care that will allow them to feel safe.
