I have hands-on experience through cat rescue, where I helped socialize entire families of feral cats and prepare them for adoption, as well as experience in a cat hospice caring for senior and medically fragile cats. About: Parents Jessica and Philip are the responsible adults guaranteeing that your dog will get everything they need, but 13-year-old Josie is the primary caretaker of our dog guests. She is a very attentive, loving and engaged pet pal! Since we started on Rover as a summer job for Josie in 2023, we have hosted dogs of all sizes, energy levels and needs and she loved every single one of them. She gets up early every day (whether or not she is caring for a dog) so she often gives the pups their first walk of the day before anyone else has gotten out of bed. In spring of 2023 Josie rescued an Eastern Phoebe (songbird) that was pushed out of its nest and injured; she fed it dry cat food soaked in sugar water and set it free a week later as a robust young fledgling (see pictures). On weekends and school vacations, Josie has little to do other than care for your dog! We are early risers. Our calendar has school days blocked off, but we would consider boarding a dog during the school week if its needs match Josie's availability so please inquire. Both parents work mostly or fully from home and could manage a midday walk for a quiet dog. Jessica is an elementary teacher and education administrator who is accustomed to carrying great responsibility for the safety of precious smaller beings. She closely supervises Josie as the primary caregiver. Our home is in the woods with access to Mt. Toby trails so your pup will get to enjoy the outdoors several times a day. Sometimes dogs who are anxious in the busy neighborhoods of their homes are much calmer when they come to our quiet, wooded setting. We have a flock of chickens in an enclosed outdoor area.

About: I am a lifelong dog person with a large fenced yard and miles of trails out my back dog. A tired dog is a happy dog. Unless I am traveling myself I am extremely flexible and available. I will let you know if I will need to spend more than a few hours away from your pet before booking a stay. I think it’s important for pets to keep to their normal routine while their people are away. A little extra attention and affection also helps ease the stress of separation. I have a pretty mellow disposition and enjoy cuddling with a furry friend while reading or watching a show.

About: I have always loved and lived with pets. Growing up we had multiple cats and a dog or two at any given time. In high school, I convinced my mom to foster a litter of kittens for our local humane society and we ended up caring for litters and kittens and puppies as well as seniors and sickly dogs for years to come. About: I grew up with a fear of dogs that only ebbed when I was 13, after my family started fostering an older Australian cattle dog mix. She was smart, sweet, and scarily strong. I also get federal holidays off, so I am generally free on weekdays that fall into that category. I love spending time with animals and am so happy to dole out as much affection as they want! However, I'm also pretty good at reading their body language and realizing when they need space to do their own thing. Every animal has different needs and I pride myself on respecting that!

About: Ive been caring for pets for many years. I had a dog walking business over a decade ago. We taken care of our own and others elderly dogs. We like taking dogs on long off leash walks in groups if possible. Dogs are always welcome to cuddle up on the furniture. Im a stay at home-mom, homeschooling. We go to play groups and trips but we can plan our day around dog walks. We take the dogs out first thing in the morning on leash as our yard isnt fenced. We are happy to come feed kitties and water plants. We love taking dogs out on walks and caring for them in our home. We love going on long walks mid day out in nature
