About: Hi there! I have two wonderful kitties and have had a dog in the past. I love both dogs and cats but especially cats! I have lived with or spent time with consistently many different temperaments of cats! They tend to like me as I don't approach them other than to let them sniff me and then let them come to me on their own terms. One of my cats, Millie, is a rambunctious, food stealing, sprinting devil who is also incredibly sweet. Her sister, Tiny Mouse loves to sit on my partner and nudge your phone out of your hand. The dog I had in the past with my ex-partner was a senior dog, so I do have experience with small, senior dogs. We did a lot of damage control as she got older with puppy pads, meds, letting her lead the way but helping her with walks, etc. I have lived with a large dog for several years in the past, as well as multiple cats. I have had to give meds to cats, dogs and I also have had rabbits! I LOVE rabbits and other small animals, both on the larger side and note. We had to give one of our bunnies meds through an injection in his neck, and I used to be a medical assistant so I can do injections for meds and give meds, etc. I work 9am-5pm with flexibility. Usually I can be somewhere by 5pm as long as I have a heads up! I can be available any time before work. The weekends I’m pretty open! Just check in with me and we can figure something out. I am super careful with dogs and always make sure I have an understanding of if they need tight leash control, can be off lease or will walk next to me! I like to understand what their routine is for walks, snacks etc. before I sit to make them as comfortable with me as possible! Cats I usually just make sure they don't get stuck in a closet somewhere (both of my cats sleep in our closets) or if they're an escape artist that they don't flee!!
“Jaclyn goes above and beyond for the pets she cares for. We got lots of updates and pictures throughout the weekend, and the house was spotless when we arrived home. It felt like our pets were getting a vacation and not just adequate care. My dog was happy and exhausted on Sunday night. Our cat gave Jaclyn a bit of a hard time and was being protective of his space. Jaclyn was patient and a good sport, and Louie got over it quickly! Everyone was happy and stress-free when we got back. Absolutely nothing but good things to say! We'll be lucky if Jaclyn is available next time we need pet care.”
About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. My journey started with pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family in middle school and grew to volunteering at local animal shelters and working in a boarding kennel to currently working as a vet assistant while at school, pursing a pre-veterinary science degree, giving me experience with animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. At home I have a 14 year old beagle/boston terrier named Pepper who I just adore. About: I’ve had many dogs and cats as pets and there have been medical issues I have learned to deal with such as asthma, arthritis injections and heart murmurs. I have also worked at vet clinics for summer jobs! I am currently a full time student as UMASS Amherst. Most of my availability will be on weekends but I can also do weekday evenings. Lilly was an excellent dog/house sitter! We have a sweet, energetic golden retriever, and Lilly took loving, diligent care of him and the house while we were away for 6 nights. She sent photos and updates, and she left the house clean and tidy. She even picked up his poop from the yard in our biodegradable bags. She came by before we left for an "orientation," too. Lilly has our highest recommendation!!!!
Kristina went above and beyond taking care of my senior dog Jazzy. She sent lots of photos and updates everyday. When we met before booking, she took notes during our conversation, which demonstrated how she is a detail oriented person. I left her a 2-3 page document with instructions about Jazzy’s routine and my apartment. She followed the instructions very closely and everything went perfectly! It was a huge relief to know Jazzy was in the care of an amazing person while I was away. For anyone with senior dogs, you can be assured that Kristina will give your pup the care they need (but for dogs of all ages too)! ☺️🐾 I would certainly hook her again!
