About: ~NOW BOOKING FOR SUMMER 2025~ -Pet ownership experience (walking, safety, behavior) - Volunteer at Fetching Tails rescue (walking and interacting with rescues) - Basic veterinary knowledge (shadowed at Addison Animal Hospital for 3 months) I recently graduated from Illinois State University. I work full-time at a vet clinic 20 minutes from home. My scheduling is very flexible and looking for local clients! I have a fenced-in yard and live in a two story house in a quiet suburb with low traffic. Pets will always be under supervision. Walks are quiet and with minimal noise.

About: *For pet owners new to Rover, ask me about my Promo Code to get $20 off your first booking* Hi, I’m Izzy! 😊 I aim to provide compassionate and detail-oriented care specific to the needs and routine of your fur baby with plenty of updates and photos so you can rest assured that they’re safe and sound and well taken care of 🤍 A little about me : I graduated from ISU in 2021 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Throughout college, I gained experience working as a Clinical Pharmacy Tech, followed by a few years as an EMT. Now, I'm excited to be working in Vet Med as a full-time Veterinary Assistant! 🏥🐕🐈⬛ I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and ages from 3 week old kittens to an 18 year old senior doggo! My experience on Rover and in veterinary medicine has also equipped me with the skills and experience necessary to care for pets with a wide range of medical conditions. Whether it's arthritis, diabetes, cancer, or another condition that requires extra detail and care, I'm committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for your beloved companion. Of my own pets, I’ve raised (or helped raise) : 2 sweet Shih Tzus, an energetic cuddly Pitt Bull, a gentle Domestic shorthair, a very intelligent Rottweiler, 2 dwarf hamsters, and a few non-mammalian pets as well 😊 Currently, I have one large doggo named Brutus whom I adopted very recently 🐶 You actually may have heard of him as he recently became a “local celebrity” thanks to NewsWeek! (Google “Newsweek Brutus” if you’d like to take a look at the article!) I ensure that my Rover Calendar of Availability is consistently updated to reflect my true schedule. My availability tends to be very consistent. I work 12 hour shifts at the Veterinary Clinic every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. However, I can also use my hour long lunch break to check in on your fur babies. In addition, I am typically available Wednesday, Thursday, and most weekends. While I do not currently offer services in my own home- I am more than happy to come to you! Most pets find comfort in their daily/weekly routines (especially when their favorite human is away.) I will always do my best to support the routine that supports them ♡

“Finn looks forward to Danny coming and going for a walk. I have to be careful to not say Danny’s name until he is here, or I have an overly excited German Shepherd boy looking for him.”

“This was my first time using Rover and Kirstie helped make the experience just perfect! We only needed someone to let our dog out during one day. Kirstie came by the day before to meet our dog and learn his routine. Walks were within the timeframe we agreed to and the messages and photos kept our minds at ease knowing he was happy and being well cared for. That peace of mind made our trip even better. Will definitely recommend Kirstie and hope we can use her services again in the near future.”

About: I have always loved dogs and always wanted one. So since I can’t have one I would love to take care of yours! I have taken care of many dogs of the years. I have watched dogs through house sitting. The longest I watched someone’s dogs was a month. I’m very comfortable around dogs and love them very much. They would get all the love from me! I am a teacher so I’m on summer break. I have all the time in the world! I would love to include walking dogs in my summer routine. I always clean up after myself and your dog. I make sure your and your dogs needs are always met. I don’t have space for a dog at my own house though.

“Vicky was punctual and friendly. The dogs loved her. Will book again.”

About: I started my pet care at my local animal shelter, then became a dog bather for about 5 years. I pet-sat on the side the same amount of years, taking care of my neighbors elderly poodles, drop in visits for a young and spry golden retriever, also stayed overnight at client's house who had two dogs and a cat! I've given pill medication, dealt with prescribed food and separation feeding times, and given pet-breathalyzer for a cat with asthma. I work second shift, from 5pm-1am. So I'm available most weekdays from early morning (preferably 9am earliest) to early afternoon (3pm latest). I always enjoyed pet care and excited to get back into it! First off, listening to them! Carefully observing their behavior at their natural state, then hungry, or playful state. Making sure they get their energy out with play time/walking.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats throughout high school and college. I first gained experience with my friends and family's fur babies. I understand that your furry friends are not just pets, but cherished members of your family. That's why I am dedicated to offering the highest standard of care, attention, and affection to ensure their happiness and well-being. I am a dedicated graduate student with a passion for providing top notch pet care tailored to your furry family members. I am currently immersed in the world of academia, which at times may be busy. However my love for animals remains unwavering and I've mastered the art of balancing a semi busy schedule with commitment to delivering exceptional pet care. Building trust is the most important aspect of providing quality pet care, which is why I am committed to understanding each pets individual needs, schedules, routines, and preferences. Through patience and understanding, I work to understand your fur baby's need. I believe happy pets are enriched pets! I strive to go beyond the basics by providing a fun stimulating environment for your furbaby. I believe in transparency and keeping you connected to your furbaby's experiences. Regular updates including photo messages will provide a glimpse into your babys life while away.

“Thank you for running/walking my huskies until they are exhausted. They come home and behave as the should. 🙏🙏🙏”

“Excellent response time, communicator and caregiver. Cara was flexible with our somewhat changing needs and very last minute request. Our Beau was SO happy to have her ring the door bell and take him on a walk.”

“Julia walked our Pitbull Prince while we were out of town for a few days. She did so well & would highly recommend!”

About: Taking care of pets has been a part of my life. Whether it is my own pets, neighbors or family I have been entrusted with many wonderful animals. I just love dogs and find it very hard to resist trying to pet every one I see! I have administered various medications to dogs and want to be a calming loving person in their lives. I currently have an adult dog and a puppy so I am used to all levels of activity! I do work full-time during the day Monday-Friday, however I have a flexible lunch schedule and my nights and weekends are free. I work in the public school setting so I have Holidays and Summers off where I hope to be able to help lots of clients. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats (and an aquarium full of creatures). I have a fenced in yard but take my dogs for 2 walks a day. I have a variety of toys and beds and my dogs are definitely allowed up on the couch (but understand if yours are not!).

About: With over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments, I provide compassionate, attentive care that feels just like home. Whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or a calm walk, I adapt my approach to meet each pet’s unique personality and health needs. What sets me apart is my patience, consistency, and ability to earn trust quickly, from both pets and their owners. I have a golden doodle of my own so caring for pets is what I do all day. He is very energetic but also loves his naps. I am a college student so during the summer i am with him 24/7 Whether caring for pets in my home or at a client’s home, my top priority is creating a safe, stress-free, and loving environment. I stick closely to the pet’s normal routine—feeding times, walks, play, and rest—so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of the space and follow all instructions carefully, from feeding and medication to keeping favorite toys or beds in the right spot. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise, and I’m always alert to signs of stress or discomfort. In my home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly space where animals can relax and feel at ease. I keep a regular routine and make sure all pets have plenty of room to play, nap, and feel at home. Since I have a friendly Goldendoodle, pets who stay with me will also have a built-in playmate—unless they prefer solo time, in which case I provide quiet areas just for them. I send regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

About: I’ve grown up with pets (cats and dogs) and also have experience with all kinds of animals (birds, reptiles, amphibians, rodents, and fish) thanks to previous petsitting experience and a zoological internship I had last summer. I also have experience with disabled animals—I’m qualified to administer insulin injections and have experience with oral, topical, and suppository pet medications. I also have experience with senior pets, animals with sensory/motor disabilities, and anxious/reactive cats and dogs. I work part time at a bumblebee lab at ISU and for the most part make my own hours, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m also currently a volunteer at Miller Park Zoo every Thursday from 8am-12pm. Dog walking: I have plenty of experience with dogs with poor leash manners (pulling, chasing cars/squirrels, snapping at other dogs, trying to eat litter/feces) and know what to do to keep your dog safe and happy on our walks. I always make sure to give dogs plenty of time to sniff around—smells are how they understand the world around them! I’m also a stickler for cleaning up after dogs on walks, as dog poop can actually be harmful to the local ecosystem. Petsitting: I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible with me in their home. Cats and dogs can have trouble with changes to routine, so I always make sure to keep things in the house as similar to normal as possible. That means maintaining a feeding schedule and enforcing the same rules you do when you’re home. I also understand animal body language and can give your pet play, affection, or alone time depending on what they indicate they’d prefer.

Michaela M.
“Rue (Michaela) provided excellent care for my cats several times. Two cats have medical issues and require daily medication regimes (asthma, liver shunts, IBS), and all three require a lot of attention and affection daily. Rue did a great job administering their medications with care and meeting their social needs every day.”

Bianca S.
“Biana was generous enough to take care of my pup Roy over the weekend while I was gone visiting family. She was willing to drive all the way over to stay at my place and look after Roy. I knew he was in great hands and could call or text if I ever needed updates and in all check in on my house too. It definitely added relief knowing she was there able to care for my furry pup, which is a 1 yr Huskey. If you know how Huskies are, they can be a bit rough to handle, especially since he is still growing but Biana handled it perfectly. Definitely recommend her to anyone for any pet sitting or walking duties.”
